You missed the point. It's right in what you just said. Even though she choked on the long noodles, she is still alive because she ate the long noodle. And therefore ==> long life. Daaa! ;)
Y'all saying Christina didn't "make" her noodles from scratch. Buckwheat itself is a specialty ingredient and buckwheat noodles are generally extruded with pressure. The equipment alone would take up space equivalent to a standard oven, require both boiling and running cold water, and about two people to operate. It isn't fresh pasta, you can't work it with a small hand crank roller. While a novice cook can make pasta at home, buckwheat noodles are only ever "made" in specialty restaurants and only a few of those make it manually. Give her a break
I was mostly confused by the title, it just makes it seem as if that's what she's doing. I'm actually happy it's an actual meal recipe though and not just cooking noodles lol

Having worked in television, I can tell you that who gets paid (and how much) depends on their contract. Did some people get screwed? Probably. But it's down to their agents, not entirely BA. If BA lowballs them, doesn't offer separate compensation for on camera time, and so on, well it's up to their agents to look out for them. Also, takes time for a new format/presenter to build a following. If you aren't a star coming in, you've got to pay your dues, as they say.
I love it when PoC members of BA join the video team and I specially like enjoy the episodes when they make recipes related to their background. I hope we get more Christina content soon!
Stop using 'person of color' Christina is an American Korean with her own experiences. Stop putting all Asians into one category and labelling people based in their skin tone.
