    In this video we will explain how to remove cylinder head the right way. Most people never think about that when removing the cylinder head but if you remove it the wrong way you can damage your head. As you know there is usually a special pattern sequence and torque specs for installing head bolts, the same apply for removing the cylinder head and getting the head bolts loose.     I do believe it matters more so for aluminum heads than it does for hardened cast iron heads,BUT, Rules are rules and people should try to follow sequence for cast iron heads if they can. I say, if you didn't, no sweat.

    Wayyy too much revolution and incorrect torque pattern. Pattern should be criss cross, since whatever you unscrew is going to immediately put pressure on the opposite screw. Also torque angles should be more like 30• at a time, 90• will warp the head for sure.

      I'm not a mechanic (more like books and studies), but it looks way too much torque to me to. I'm doing my 2007 vectra mk2 1.9cdti (refreshing gaskets, carb cleaning, etc), and my intention is to reuse the genuine head bolts.
