Just finished the game myself a day or two ago, it was pretty fun learning the deflect timings of bosses rather than sidestepping and im glad this game heartily rewards you for that.
It's has to be stronger than the versions you face earlier. I didn't have much trouble with the ones before, after I learned the moveset. But this one, holy crap was it a pain! Maybe I was just not in good form that day.
This game is another proof that the Sekiro's deflect is one of the best addition to the action games. I hope we'll see more games that uses and iterates this system. I absolutely loved the game. Kudos to developers!

This game did sekirocombat pretty good but its too repetative. Sekiro has unblockable attacks you need to dodge,mikiri, or jump over. otherwise you just memorize the tmings and spam parrys.( i haven't played the tymesia game)

I can see no greater compliment/free marketing for your game than the Legend doing a no hit challenge video of your game's bosses. Ongal doing it lets you know that even if you watched him do it, it's not really a spoiler because you'll definitely have to learn it yourself and he's making it look way easier than it will be for you. It also means that he's probably having a lot of fun doing it too, which means your bosses are fun to fight and your combat system is fun to use, which is probably the biggest draw for fans of these types of games.
I'm really enjoying this game. I winced at the 40 dollar price point but I made the gamble. It's well worth the money. It's an incredibly satisfying combat system.
its nice seeing another sekiro like parrying style in another game, honestly more games should try to experiment and fine tune that playstyle more, a lot of games hasn't felt the same after sekiro and Thymesia might just be the game to scratch that sekiro parry itch

oh wow, I was actually surprisingly close to finishing this. I gave it a good try, I really did, but after I beat Urd and she had a 2nd phase, I just stopped playing. Not even because it was hard or anything, it just seemed so incredibly unnecessary and that was kind of the last straw. I was already on the fence about it, but I had run out of other free Soulslikes, so I gave it a play. It was just like they added a 2nd phase just for the sake of having a 2 phase boss. No real cosmetic or even moveset differences, nor any lore reason, just another healthbar for to "add to the challenge". I didn't miss much I guess

These things, the Katar wielding guys and the Greatsword knights are the most terrifying enemies in the game

Although Corvus is the most difficult boss in the entire game, Mutated Odur annihilated me the most by far. He's a good boss but fuck that guy

I got it. Pretty cool. Theme and atmosphere is solid. Motion blur is disorienting at first but you get used to it. Combat is great.

reminds me a little of NIOH now that was a fun game, parrying was a lot more difficult too.
