Hey everyone, I have a prayer request. I have a cousin who is like my sister and I love her very much. She is lost and doesn’t know the Lord at all. I have been praying for her for about a year now because she started going down a lustful and dark road. Her relationship with Jesus is basically non existent, and my dad and her mom actually got in a small fight at thanksgiving this year over faith. She told my dad that he didn’t have the answers to the afterlife and the saving grace of God. I cried for days. This morning around 1:00, she sent me a text message saying that she prayed for the first time in years and just started crying. I don’t know what compelled her to pray but I know the Lord held my sleep tonight for a reason. Please pray that she will find the answers and accept Christ into her heart.

I am a recently converted Christian... I'm still learning and have doubts all the time, but I also remember what I felt that day at church, the positive energy around me and the good intentions of the people, and a feeling of knowing that not only does God exist, but he's *close* to all of us all the time... I ask you, brother or sister reading this, to pray for me. I have struggled with depression and anxiety for many years now (it doesn't help that I want to live from art). I just can't see the path in front of me clearly and it's made me into a fraction of what I'm supposed to be, I tend to try to avoid life in general though videogames or UA-cam videos, I'm kind of addicted to the momentary numbness they provide, and I end up wasting most of my time and feeling guilty about it. Anyway... It was so brave of you to put this out there. 30 minutes ago, I was sharing my thoughts of suicide on Facebook, and how I simply don't have the will or energy to keep doing this so-called "life," because of how empty I feel inside and how so many people define me by my past choices (including those eerily similar to yours). I decided to delete my suicidal thoughts post, and search on UA-cam for something to encourage hope. I typed in *testimonies of God* in the search. Somehow, this story of yours is the one that catches my attention because of the title, and I give it a listen in hopes of instilling a little bit of hope for myself. As I am listening to you bravely share your own past with the world, I realize I am listening to an almost exact story of myself (literally, from doing things for money [and in my case the money was for drugs], to the almost creepy coincidences that would appear to me the few times I randomly went to church [i.e. hadn't been to church in years, and just had a baby who I'd given up for adoption 2 weeks prior, and the first time I go to church in like 5 years, as I thought it might help with my grieving over my adoption choice, the pastor's message is about how God adopts us all into his life and uses the word "adoption" over and over again, as if I was just meant to be there], our stories are eerily similar, as if I was MEANT to have found your specific testimony)! I about cried because seeing you willingly and wholeheartedly able to be open about your past, really gave me some insight into myself, and nudged the little voice inside me saying, "just go back to church and you will find resolution and peace." A hope story I sought, and there God goes, sharing yours (which is identical to mine on many levels) with me! All I've wanted all day today was one sense of feeling loved, and you gave that to me without ever having seen you or met you. Thank you for being vulnerable because you may have just rekindled the flame inside me that was very close to being out. 💞

I'm watching this on May 3rd 2020 when you have spent a year in singleness and you met your future husband on a cruise (like what!?!?!? Fairytale status lol) and you have completely overcome all of your past. God has changed you in countless ways to make you more like Himself. Thank you for this difficult but transformative testimony. I have a similar story only was much worse. My sexual indiscretions led to abortions which I saw at the time as mistakes to be corrected. I distanced myself from the truth of what I was doing because I was being led by Satan down a dark path who told me what I was doing was just mistakes and all I had to do was get rid of the fetus before it started growing into a recognizable human child and I could just go about my life as if nothing bad happened! He actually made me think that what I was doing was nothing more than correcting a mistake! I lived my life , got my college degree, had a fruitful career, got married and could not get pregnant. My marriage was a difficult one which ended in divorce and it was when I was at my lowest that God called out to me and I listened. I started going to a small church, went through Alpha and it was then that I cried out to God to please forgive me for my sinful past. What happened then was nothing short of miraculous. While coming home from a bible study and sobbing for God to forgive me, I opened my bible after I got home, and the pages I opened to changed my world. The chapter. I started to read was from Luke 7:38 Jesus anointed by a sinful woman. As I read I couldn't believe how much I was seeing myself in this woman and when Jesus told the Pharisee "her many sins have been forgiven as her great love has shown" Then Jesus said to her" Your sins are forgiven. Your faith has saved you. Go in peace." When I read this I immediately began thanking him and felt so much relief from my guilt and shame over what I had done and was completely amazed by him leading me to that particular scripture which was exactly what I needed to hear at that moment in time! I have been washed clean from that and the shame has gone from my life and I now am a prayer minister at my church helping others to heal. So I have been saved through faith as you have and I just want you to know how brave you are for s h a ring your story and know that you will help so many other women who feel that they are beyond redemption. I was an especially wicked sinner but God saved me so he truly can save anyone from anything no matter how wicked they have been! Hallelujah!❤🙏
Your testimony has encouraged me to share mine. I have felt God calling me to share my testimony for years because it really is a beauty for ashes story. I was dust and ash dead, broken 💔 terribly and hiding in shame. Even after I gave my life to Christ fully at 18, I had already made so many bad choices and it still took many years before I no longer spoke lies over myself. I guilted myself for many years after I first felt Gods forgiveness and love. I am now 29 and so thankful for others sharing their testimony. Hey everyone, I have a prayer request. I have a cousin who is like my sister and I love her very much. She is lost and doesn’t know the Lord at all. I have been praying for her for about a year now because she started going down a lustful and dark road. Her relationship with Jesus is basically non existent, and my dad and her mom actually got in a small fight at thanksgiving this year over faith. She told my dad that he didn’t have the answers to the afterlife and the saving grace of God. I cried for days. This morning around 1:00, she sent me a text message saying that she prayed for the first time in years and just started crying. I don’t know what compelled her to pray but I know the Lord held my sleep tonight for a reason. Please pray that she will find the answers and accept Christ into her heart.

I am a recently converted Christian... I'm still learning and have doubts all the time, but I also remember what I felt that day at church, the positive energy around me and the good intentions of the people, and a feeling of knowing that not only does God exist, but he's *close* to all of us all the time... I ask you, brother or sister reading this, to pray for me. I have struggled with depression and anxiety for many years now (it doesn't help that I want to live from art). I just can't see the path in front of me clearly and it's made me into a fraction of what I'm supposed to be, I tend to try to avoid life in general though videogames or UA-cam videos, I'm kind of addicted to the momentary numbness they provide, and I end up wasting most of my time and feeling guilty about it. Anyway... If you're still reading, I wish you the best and hope that God keeps you forever and blesses you, and that you please ask him to reveal himself to me and clear my mind, my heart and my soul, so that I can believe in him completely and improve my life and be able to enjoy it and have a positive impact on others. You entered the Kingdom when you were saved, but don't think that life stopped there, there are so many things in the Kingdom; the Kingdom of God is neither food nor drink, it is justice, it is peace, it is joy in the Holy Spirit.
The Kingdom of God was manifested in the person of the King, who is Jesus Christ.
What our eyes have never seen and our ears have never heard, nor has it reached our hearts, is what He has prepared for those who love Him, for those who serve Him, for those who seek Him ( 1 Corinthians 2:9)
So don't give up asking, don't stop seeking or knocking, because the way to eternal life will open for you ( Matthew 7:7-8 ).
All doubts and uncertainties will vanish once you genuinely surrender to God.
PS: I don't know if any advice is still relevant to you, since you put your comment a year ago. But I dearly hope you are still picking up your cross and walking in the faith,by follow Jesus.

30 minutes ago, I was sharing my thoughts of suicide on Facebook, and how I simply don't have the will or energy to keep doing this so-called "life," because of how empty I feel inside and how so many people define me by my past choices (including those eerily similar to yours).
I decided to delete my suicidal thoughts post, and search on UA-cam for something to encourage hope. I typed in *testimonies of God* in the search.
Somehow, this story of yours is the one that catches my attention because of the title, and I give it a listen in hopes of instilling a little bit of hope for myself. As I am listening to you bravely share your own past with the world, I realize I am listening to an almost exact story of myself (literally, from doing things for money [and in my case the money was for drugs], to the almost creepy coincidences that would appear to me the few times I randomly went to church [i.e. hadn't been to church in years, and just had a baby who I'd given up for adoption 2 weeks prior, and the first time I go to church in like 5 years, as I thought it might help with my grieving over my adoption choice, the pastor's message is about how God adopts us all into his life and uses the word "adoption" over and over again, as if I was just meant to be there], our stories are eerily similar, as if I was MEANT to have found your specific testimony)!
I about cried because seeing you willingly and wholeheartedly able to be open about your past, really gave me some insight into myself, and nudged the little voice inside me saying, "just go back to church and you will find resolution and peace."
A hope story I sought, and there God goes, sharing yours (which is identical to mine on many levels) with me! All I've wanted all day today was one sense of feeling loved, and you gave that to me without ever having seen you or met you. Thank you for being vulnerable because you may have just rekindled the flame inside me that was very close to being out. 💞

Fairytale status lol) and you have completely overcome all of your past. God has changed you in countless ways to make you more like Himself. Thank you for this difficult but transformative testimony. I have a similar story only was much worse. My sexual indiscretions led to abortions which I saw at the time as mistakes to be corrected. I distanced myself from the truth of what I was doing because I was being led by Satan down a dark path who told me what I was doing was just mistakes and all I had to do was get rid of the fetus before it started growing into a recognizable human child and I could just go about my life as if nothing bad happened! He actually made me think that what I was doing was nothing more than correcting a mistake! I lived my life , got my college degree, had a fruitful career, got married and could not get pregnant. My marriage was a difficult one which ended in divorce and it was when I was at my lowest that God called out to me and I listened. I started going to a small church, went through Alpha and it was then that I cried out to God to please forgive me for my sinful past. What happened then was nothing short of miraculous. While coming home from a bible study and sobbing for God to forgive me, I opened my bible after I got home, and the pages I opened to changed my world. The chapter. I started to read was from Luke 7:38 Jesus anointed by a sinful woman. As I read I couldn't believe how much I was seeing myself in this woman and when Jesus told the Pharisee "her many sins have been forgiven as her great love has shown" Then Jesus said to her" Your sins are forgiven. Your faith has saved you. Go in peace."
When I read this I immediately began thanking him and felt so much relief from my guilt and shame over what I had done and was completely amazed by him leading me to that particular scripture which was exactly what I needed to hear at that moment in time! I have been washed clean from that and the shame has gone from my life and I now am a prayer minister at my church helping others to heal. So I have been saved through faith as you have and I just want you to know how brave you are for s h a ring your story and know that you will help so many other women who feel that they are beyond redemption. I was an especially wicked sinner but God saved me so he truly can save anyone from anything no matter how wicked they have been! Hallelujah!❤🙏

Your testimony has encouraged me to share mine. I have felt God calling me to share my testimony for years because it really is a beauty for ashes story. I was dust and ash dead, broken 💔 terribly and hiding in shame. Even after I gave my life to Christ fully at 18, I had already made so many bad choices and it still took many years before I no longer spoke lies over myself.
