Did that FMS plane eat it and hence the very short, slowed down, quick cut of it flying away? I've had that plane. It was lots of fun and the best way I found to launch it was to toss it like you did, but up at a 70 degree angle at full throttle. It was like an out of control estes rocket for a few seconds but after it torque rolled a time or two and the ailerons became effective it was lots of fun. It was fast, loud, the nose hunted constantly, and it would high speed stall randomly spinning it into the ground.
