The thing i learned from listening to the Martyr made history podcast series about the Israel Palestine conflict is that both sides suck... But one thing I do know for sure is that Curtis Lemay would've solved the Gaza thing in a single afternoon.

What could be in the basement of any given hospital? How do you think that basement would have been built in that part of the world?

don't forget the boxes of "medical supplies" that were written in plain english on white paper and then they happend to "find" hamas weapon stocks in the hospital right after said boxes were delivered
This is actually one of the few things I believe 100% from the whole conflict. Having a base of operations be a hospital is a great way to garner sympathy from the international community when you eventually get blown up. It's normal terrorist behavior and why the US Military doesn't like to negotiate much with ISIS and Al Qaeda, who are incredibly violent and will use tactics like this to try and make themselves look like victims to radicalize more young people to their cause.
Having said that, also don't believe much of what Isreal says normally, especially how they had no idea about the concert attacks were going to happen. Just slipped past them, huh? Didn't just want to push more people out of Gaza and the West Bank, huh?

israel and palestine both have a right to exist but one of them is inherently more violent (israel) and they lay claim to a land because a story book from millennia ago tells them its theirs, apply that logic to the natives in north america, it was their land for much longer and it was theirs not even 400 years ago, why don't we give them back their land by that logic

There are explicit permissions for specific wars in Tanakh. Deutoronomy 20 lays out the rules for war, for the coming conquest of The Promised Land, for example.
There are also inferred rules of war, like in the Book of Esther or the Book of Josha, where we see the Israelites wage righteous war.
I dont think any of these can be used today.
Instead they should look at the moral law, given to them. Do not murder. Do not lie.
You might invoke the principle of an eye for an eye, but even then modern Israel violates it, as the situation is always: Palestine strikes first, but Israel strikes hardest.
I should also point out that the prophets and the book of kings and chronicles 1+2, gives us many examples of how the people of Israel are called upon defending their land through faith, not through the sword.
The way Israel has been using bombs, risking innocent women and childrens lives, because they are not willing to risk their own soldiers lives, surely cannot be considered in line with the morale thats laid out in Exodus.
Same probably goes for the way some of the conflicts between settlers and arabs has been handled. (Not that i know who to trust)
Also, just off the top of my head, i believe there is a principle in the Talmud, about how you are not allowed to block the waterpassages, when besieging or occupying a village. Make of that, what you will.

I mean Kyle seems to have the slightly above average knowledge on this sort of debate, but like all people at the mid-wit stage of their journey in the philosophy of war, when they pull the "but Dresden" card, he neglects the fact that that happened at the very end of ww2, after 5 years of total war.
And neglects the fact that Dresden wasn't just a small village but at that point the very next frontline position on the Eastern Front.
And neglects the fact that although when Britain started its aerial campaign against Germany, Britain personally hadn't suffered major civilian losses, the full context was what Germany had done in Poland and the rest of Europe during 1939 in the Phoney War, where they had practised and carried out major carpet bombing and terror bombing, so it's not like Churchill had a bright idea, Europe had already seen what Germany's new style of war was with Blitzkrieg and Goering's fancy new Luftwaffe, and England was the only country in the world capable of checking that power and replying in kind, and so the two nations did battle in the air slowing ramping up, from originally (ignoring all the civilian targets Germany had hit in Europe) Germany only strictly military targets, then Germany hit a few civilian target by accident so Britain ramped up to tactical bombing (factories, railways, places with increased collateral damage), so Germany responded in kind, then Britain did the left-field move of beginning night time raids which really angered the Germans because it was both used as a boast by the British that the Germans aren't good enough to fly at night and the reality that Germany was struggling to counter this strategy, then Germany doesn't only reply in kind with their own night raids but goes full blow insanity and begins terror bombing purposely targeting locations of pure civilian and even specifically culture significance at one time famously using a tourist guide book to pick out cultural landmarks, this period was called the Blitz at which point most of Germany was largely untouched by any sort of raids while England was literally going through hell so Britain responded for the rest of the war with full blown strategic bombing i,e, if there was target of sufficient significance to the German war effort, it was going to be flattened no matter the cost, leading to the famous "1000 bomber raids" where instead of the pure malice it was the sheer efficacy of the British raids that caused terror in Germany, while Germany was wasting time and effort trying to insult Britain (and only making their resolve even stronger due to the increasing monstrosity of their enemy), Britain was just flattening factories and warehouses left right and centre. It's only multiple years later that you get things like Dresden and Potsdam (at that point Potsdam being literally the frontline position filled with 100,000's of German soldiers), at which point yes war is hell, but it's didn't just come out of the blue nor was it some sneaky trick brushed under the carpet, back in Britain routinely there was public and governmental outcry against Bomber Command in concerns for explanation whenever there were reports are high civilian casualties.
