This has to be a Sabalenka's personal record for most number of drop shots hit in a match.
weird seeing her actually having any sort of variety. 99% of the time, she is just bashing the ball in any direction

Not a routine shot. The shot was very low when she attempted to hit the drop shot. Not your normal level for hitting a drop shot.

Easily the match of the season so far. It was special to witness it live in the stadium. Very high level, brutal rallies. And the atmosphere was brilliant as well.

I am so glad to see, at the end of the match, the respect between Svitolina and Sabalenka, they looked at each other, no hand but they comunicated anyway. I hope they started to understand that the war is something not connected with these sport players.

I imagine it’s difficult to come back and play at a high level and also have responsibilities for a child - you worry and miss them, etc., and no nanny can stop that feeling. I don’t know though, being a guy (but a dad who had similar feelings when my daughter was growing up, and I had to be away).

I have a daughter too and understand your sentiment. Despite being away from her most of the time while she was growing up, she's an example of a loving daughter and she always knew and understood, that fathers like you and I did NOT have a choice.

@@23Echeo I'm assuming they mean the no hand shake. Ukrainian players don't shake hands with Russian/Belarusian players since Russia invaded the Ukraine. Svitolina is Ukrainian and Saba is Belarusian.

Svitolina doesn't play often nowadays but when she plays, you can see Monfis's influence. She plays more agressively now.
