flight attendant problems: i commute from atlantic city to minneapolis for work every week

- a flight attendant, for a multitude of reasons, can be based in a city that is far away from the place they call home. these flight attendants are called commuters because they use their free flight benefits (as well as other modes of private/public transportation) to commute long distances. i have spent the first year of my flight attendant career commuting half way across the country, so i thought it was time to give you a behind the scenes look at how i travel to work in the midwest from my home on the jersey shore.
this vlog features a 2 day trip with a long 25 hour layover in phoenix. although we fly into phx airport, we actually stay at a hotel in nearby scottsdale. this is my first time exploring this area.

@@KIMMINISTRIESVA it is such a different world than back east. Next time I will try to see more of the actual city of Phoenix, even though they put us up in Scottsdale.

Commuters are the real mvp lol. 🔺💜✈️
Commuting is not for the faint of heart 😭
How much does it cost to Zed on the bus? I am AA group so its free for me lol
@@damnimloomin it's free if i list as a commuter!
How much did the hotel cost you when you stayed in Minn/St.Paul? does the airline cover that?
@@michaelbodt great question! I should've included that info in the video 😅 with my crew rate, i pay $69 per night. that's the cheapest i can find by the msp airport that doesn't charge $100 incidental hold. the hotels in dtw were super cheap when i was detroit-based for my first month on the line. i found one with a $50 crew rate.
@@michaelbodt & no, the airline doesn't cover hotel expenses for commuters.
