Oh that bbq picture looked delicious, but as I may have mentioned I’m not growing corn this year it seems to attract too many destructive squirrels 🐿️. But we live near huge corn farms and it’s super cheap. Have a fab week Jim and family, Ali 🌞🇨🇦
Have you tried covering those cobs with socks? 😂 Sounds hilarious but works quite well I've found. A good way of putting those holey socks to use (I have many). That's quite convenient for you then ☺️
@@downtoearthwithjim ive only tried big sweetcorn once but also did mini and i think planting out they got mixed up so when it came to harvest the minis went too big and the big didnt fill out lol so now i stick to mini cos i like them more
Hopefully you'll have some good pollination then! I've got around the same amount I reckon. If you don't like netting them over, check out my video for covering cobs with socks - worked really well last year!

i love corn but i grow minipop and this year i found a new one called snobaby so im looking forward to seeing which one does best
Have you found that baby corn does better for you than Sweetcorn? I do love baby corn on the cob! 🌽

i am growing 36 sweetcorns this year, im hoping to have enough to can them and have them on hand for pasta salad etc
