I used my Marttiini knife today to remove some old, old, old crusty paint off of some door frames... Made me think of this video. My poor knife wishes it woulda ended up like yours but no such luck :') It's a great and durable working tool though, gotta hand it to them.
You don't really need to say both. It's really only patience. Obviously, to some extent there may be literal physical things that could cause you to be unable to do it but in general most talent is having the patience to screw up as much as necessary until you figure out how to do it right. Most people are not incapable of doing creative ventures like this they're just unwilling or unable to take the time necessary to get it right. There's a big difference between it being impossible and you not having the time for one reason or another.
Microphone needs to be a little closer to the work [not too bad] The sound of the gloves just clashes poorly with the carving sound, though I guess for some people, it hits that "trigger" even if it clashes with the atmosphere of woodworking. Otherwise, quite pleasant to listen to, and the length is solid 👍
I’m curious as to the purpose of the latex gloves. Also you carve that wood as though it were butter and it’s so soothing to watch the shape emerge gradually.
Thanks 😊 Theres no reason to use gloves other than that I was covering my hands because I had frost damage on them. But I will use a glove or tape to cover my left thumb because i push the knife with that thumb and after awhile it starts to hurt if I dont have any padding for protection
