watching this back I feel like there's SOO much that I missed lolol but regardless- I LOVE MAMAMOO. They are amazing. What do you guys recommend I react to next?!?!
Definitely Wind Flower and Starry Night, which you will definitely enjoy, but also Egotistic, Gogobebe and Dingga! I have a feeling you'll have a lot of fun with all their songs, specially if you dive into their solo work as well! Here's wishing you happy holidays and a very happy new year =D
Aya is Korean for ouch. The tooth grave stones making a mouth is connected with them comparing breaking up a bad relationship to pulling out a rotten tooth. Solar's unibrow is a reference to Frida Kahlow. She combined it with white ghosts from Korean myths for her look in the white dress. Their ultimate vocal flex is the Immortal Songs Medley, which combines songs from a number of their apperances on Immortal Songs, which is a competition show where artists perform covers of famous Korean songs. For other MV's you really can't wrong. Their vocals are always awesome. Doing the title tracks from their 4 Seasons/4 colors project would be one good choice. Starry Night, Egotistic, Windflower and Gogobebe. You heard a bit of all of those in the Killing Voice. You may also want to so a guide. Purple Hawk's is still the best for getting to know the members. They all have excellent solo work but as a gay woman you really want to watch Shutdown, Moonbyul's amazing song about a sapphic relationship.
About the dancing. Mamamoo always was(and still is) a vocal group. They of coursed danced in the past too but their focus was on their incredible vocals and their dances were on the easier side. With their last few comebacks they really stepped up their dance game🙏🏻
Plus, Whee in IS a helluva dancer, in her own right... Gee, maybe Cami will branch out to see her solo work, namely Watercolor and Make Me Happy, Solar has competition if so...
One of the main reasons their previous song performances (pre 2019) was because they (MAMAMOO) choreographed all their songs. It was only until 2019, Gogobebe, that they had professional choreographers do their choreos for them. Them, having no choreo background, creating their own song choreos, will tend to fall back on whatever they know. So some of their dances have similar moves with throwbacks to their previous songs. That's why you'd notice MAMAMOO having harder choreographies since 2019 (HIP, Dingga, AYA, ILLELLA), where you can see all 4 of them being able to dance a hard choreo without compromising on vocals, like what many people who don't know them would say. HIP was prove that MAMAMOO can BOTH dance AND sing LIVE without compromising anything. [p.s. at that time, 2019, Lia Kim of 1Million Studio who was the choreographer of HIP, mentioned that HIP was the hardest choreo she had ever made, and also that she couldn't dance it without being out of breath.]
@@bretthollingsworth9866 Yess i hope she watches wheein’s kiana lede dance cover ua-cam.com/video/I7TMLCnNQqw/v-deo.html it was the vid that made me realize she’s a really good dancer.
No, Mamamoo it's not known for their dance, in fact for the longest time they coreographed themselves bc 1) they were from a super poor company and had to do all by themselves 2) their priorities have always been the live vocal quality and overall performance. In a way, their live stage style resembles more western artists than regular kpop artists. Hand mics, loose coreos, public interaction, ad libs for years etc. And that's what they are known for today... their insane live vocals and huge stage presence. That been said.. all the girls can really dance and have their own dance styles, what really come across on their solo projects.
Fun Facts: The members of Mamamoo work on their own songs, both on their solo albums and the group's. They are all songwriters, producers and co-producers. Mamamoo is the most accredited Kpop girl group to their name and Moonbyul is the most accredited KOMCA female Kpop idol.
6:34 Her name is Solar (Mamamoo's leader) Please react to their solo songs! 🙏🙏🙏 Solar: Spit it Out, Honey, Big Booty, Zingle Zingle Moonbyul: Selfish, Eclipse, Lunatic, C.I.T.T Wheein: Easy, Water Color, Make Me Happy Hwasa: Be Calm, Twit, María, I'm a B
I always suggest that people watch groups from their very beginning debuts and look at everything in chronological order. In this case, Mamamoo debuted with a song called 'Mr. Ambiguous'. It's a very cute video. Yes, these ladies have always done more 'mature' content, they did not debut as babies like some other groups. BUT, somebody else brought up Purple Hawke's pair of videos for introducing the members. Whoever Purple Hawke is, they are one of my heroes over the internet. Those videos are AMAZING! They make each member very memorable, almost guaranteed to make you memorize the ladies so you will never forget who-is-who and what each member is good (or great) at. AND it is an entire University-level class in Editing; they really are great videos. The videos are slightly older but it is still good information about the ladies. Guaranteed to be a great set of videos to check out. There are small musical spoilers but with only enough of Mamamoo's music attached to make you want to hear more. Lots of reactors split up their reactions to these videos and release their reaction to Part One at one point and Part Two the next day or a few days later. But for you, with your hectic schedule and us never knowing exactly when you will upload, I hope that you react to both videos at the same time and post them really close together or in one lump so that you will not forget. You might otherwise post one reaction and not the other. We would not want that to happen. Luv ya!
The monobrow's significance is that Solar always wants to do something that pushes boundaries of kpop. She had a bald scene in her first solo, went "half and half" in Hip, did a monobrow in this one and had moles all over her face in her solo comeback. She also likes trying things out (has a whole youtube channel where she tries things out and does extreme things sometimes like skydiving). She basically likes testing the boundaries of kpop beauty standards.
Mamamoo is such an extraordinary group. So under-appreciated. Their talent is off the charts. Specifically when it comes to their vocals. Solar is the one you're calling the Korean Christina Aguilera. 🤣 Her and Wheein are two of the best vocalists in the game. Wheein is the one with the face jewelry thing in this video. Moonbyul is the rapper, seriously one of the best rappers in the game. And the one that is making you go "wow!" the most is Hwasa. 🤣 Her sexy sultry voice and absolutely stunning visuals make her one of kind. Believe it or not though, Hwasa receives an unusual amount of hate in the past and even to this day. And it mostly seems to be about her not meeting Korean beauty standards. Which is completely crazy, because she's gorgeous. They all are. And they can sing like nobody's business. Bottom line, they deserve so much more recognition and appreciation.
MAMAMOO is the group that they sing every single genre, there is no frame no boarder no restrictions to their vocal and style. They stage present is insane, which it doesn't matter who and which group you fan and stan, as long as MAMAMOO on the stage they COMMAND the crowd. Honestly, there aren't many idols can top their vocal, stage presence and versatility. They are ARTISTS more than idols.
Mamamoo's back catalogue is immense and eclecic to say the least. These ladies can sing anything (and they are total dorks in the best way). You won't go wrong reacting to anything honestly. They only release quality, however, you should probably check out a guide to get to know them better.
i wouldn't say underrated. not everyone will like what you like. someone reacted to Illela and said it's not his cup of tea. then he reacted to Stray Kids and lost his mind. this person prefers the bangers of Stray Kids instead of Mamamoo. people simply have different preferences.
@@SapiaNt0mata of course everyone has different tastes. I just think based on how talented I think they are they deserve more recognition that's all🤷♀️ of course not everyone will agree with me.
@@Kimiblues even if they deserve it, they have to appeal to others. 1 album of Blackpink outsold the entire discography of Mamamoo. i don't say this to bring down Mamamoo. i say this to show that Blackpink appeal more to the masses than Mamamoo. it is what it ist. as i said, not everyone will be equally popular. want to get more popular? you have to adapt to what the masses want, and Mamamoo ain't gonna do this. Blackpink was made to become popular. they tick every checkbox. and that's why they did get so popular. Mamamoo don't tick every checkbox.
You'd love all of their solo songs as well. Mamamoo sets themselves apart as a group because it's made of not only four parts of a whole but four truly amazing solo artists.
I was never a kpop fan but mamamoo are just too talented that it’s a shame not to be a fan of them. Please react more to them coz I know talent acknowledges talent.
Saying that Mamamoo can't dance is an old, low effort insult from salty members of other fandoms. Mamamoo did all of their own non-tour choreographing until 2019. Generally, their old choreo is built around the songs and really allowed them to make sure they could sing at the level they want to while also making it emphasize the lyrics. 🥰 After 2019 they worked with various choreographers and there's a noticeable difference. Compared to other 3rd gen idols Mamamoo is very much average in terms of choreo but they are the strongest in terms of unit choreography(choreo with just the group members) for their group size. Not shading anyone specifically but considering that Mamamoo sings live and generally with handmics they're amazing dancers. Tbh the only 3rd gen girl group with greater vocal quality while dancing is Dreamcatcher. 🤷🏾♀️ As other people have said, the members are all great dancers in their solo work and each has their own unique style.
Actually their most-watched MV is Hip. Off course it's also a must-watch. For introduction, i would suggest you Mamamoo 2022 by yt-moo part 1&2. Not only introduce the members but also their chronologically discography. It's the best way to dig into their proggresion as a group.
Mamamoo is THE headliner. If they are on a show with other performers, you put their name at the top of the marquee. Because they never just come to sing nicely. They ALWAYS come to tear the house down. You'll see it in every show appearance they make, all of the staff & other performers stop to watch what they're going to do when they take the stage. Because it is always AWESOME!! So their music videos are very powerful, sort of blasting and in your face. It also creates the feeling when they do a pared down slower song, you're just not ready for how great they are at that as well. It's more unexpected. They are DEFINITELY a high energy team. "Let's do something crazy" isn't even in their vocabulary,... it's just a given,.. like how crazy could we do it?
ugh i love them so much! seriously one of the best vocal groups in the entire industry. and honestly their dancing isnt horrible, moonbyul is known to be pretty good
Mamamoo's more mature side is what drew me in too- they were the second kpop group I ever genuinely liked. I'd recommend Egotistic, Dingga, and Moonbyul's Shutdown to see more of their mature, self-possessed, and sexy side (a sorely needed presence in the realm of kpop, particularly among girl groups)
Mamamoo has always danced choreography who where not the most difficult in kpop because yes their strongest point is vocal they can dance well tho they started doing more intense choreography later in their debut without giving up on vocals
Mamamoo is very much the type of group when you tell them they can't do something they will gun at the opportunity to prove you wrong, so when word started getting around that they were just a vocal group and couldn't dance they started stepping up the choreos for their comebacks essentially as their response to the rumours 😂 it's fun to see the progress into this as they built more confidence, you can definitely see their rebellion (especially about the industry and the culture around it) in the types of message, music and beauty they decide to uphold in the spotlight
I became mamamoo's fan after listening to "starry night" and "wind flower". They are such a hardworking group. Love them and love your reaction! You look like a honest and kind person and it's feels really nice.
There's SO much for you to catch up on because stanning mamamoo literally means stanning four different (insanely talented) women. Everything from their MVs, solos, their live stages, their crackhead contents, i can guarantee it will keep you entertained for MONTHS.. And omg you HAVE to watch a guide for mamamoo vid, i recommend the one from MOO YT or Purple Hawke. You will fall in love even more once you get to know each of their unique personalities. Literally a one of a kind gg
Mamamoo ARE more mature than other girl groups. That's one of the things I love about them, how they aren't necessarily aiming to act cute and just be their happy self. They are not afraid of showing who they are, including their sensuality, and I respect that so much, and it's such a breath of fresh air. On this note, the rapper (Moonbyul) has a beautiful song about two women loving each other, it's stunning and you should definitely check it out: Shut down (Feat Seori). I love their personalities and their vocals so fucking much, I truly think they're THE most underrated group in kpop and it's such a shame! They inspire me on the daily. And the cool thing is that their individual works are absolutely great as well! You should check out Egotistic and Starry Night next!
Love seeing your reaction/ They have a presence, a vocal, and a huge variety of music. Can't wait to see your future mamamoo reactions.... they're the best imo. (or some of the best kpop group)
All have solos and during their recent concert they did their solos, however, they each covered each others solos. They have the best stage presence. Please more reactions to these vocal queens
I love how you're honest about your opinion and calling them your new favorite group even though they're not as popular as blackpink, love your reactions and excited for new mamamoo videos also I recommend their immortal song performance its so good, their stage present and live vocals are unmatched
Welcome to mamamoo, just know, than once you get into them there's no going back, they are amazing! Their vocals are everything, and recently our amazing rapper moonbyul has finally got more confidence to show off her own vocals! They are 4 adorable dorks, and you're going to find song where they literally slander each other (taller than you 1cm and sleep in the car) They have very gay energy (there's a reason why their fan base is basically all women) and you can find some very gay songs in their solos (my personal favourite is shutdown by Moonbyul) I also suggest checking out their performances on the survival show Queendom, especially good luck and I miss you That's what made me fall in love with them!
MAMAMOO can actually dance. I mean all kpop idols can since it's part of their training evaluations, its just that their vocals are Top Tiers. But that doesn't mean they can't do hard choreos. Anyway, MAMAMOO is well known for their great stage presence, so if you wanna check them Live, you can just pick any live performances and you will see what you're looking for. But these 3 in particular are few of their BEST LIVE PERFORMANCES and I'm sure everyone will agree. 1. MAMAMOO MAMA 2018 Full Performance 2. MAMAMOO MAMA 2019 Full Performance 3. MAMAMOO GOODLUCK QUEENDOM Performance They were so creative with these 3 performances and led everyone in awe with their Stage Presence. I hope you'd consider checking these out.🙏 ✨MANIFESTING MORE MAMAMOO CONTENTS ✨
Aya just recently became their fourth MV to reach 100M views! :) You've already watched HIP, so the other ones are Starry Night and Egotistic. I think you'd really like those too. Also, one of the members Hwasa came out with a solo called Maria that also blew up (it's gotten over 200M views) and is definitely worth-watching! Also, Immortal Songs Medley is definitely the go-to first performance to watch if you want to see their live stage presence.
Ohhh yes! MAMAMOO 💕💕💕 They are my favorite girl group! They are soo talented and also so f*cking funny. You should really do a guide to get to know them better 👌 Also, once you Whee-in, you can't Whee-out 😉
Oh, and here are my recommendations for your next Mamamoo reaction: Mr. Ambiguous Um Oh Ah Yeh Ahh Oop (feat. Esna) Décalcomanie Yes I Am 1cm (Taller Than You)
Everyone is going to tell you "Immortal Songs medley",.. it's a total gas!! I would say Delilah (Live) DEFINITELY. but watch to the very end of the performance. There are chaotic wild variety comedy show appearances (Knowing Brothers, Idol weekly,..) where they tear it up and virtually destroy the entire sets with chaotic energy. And someone said they are the most underrated. They're just not well known in the west because they don't bother with much english. But Half of the world worships this group. They are TOP stars overseas!! They were number one in 2019. It's nice to see westerners catching up on UA-cam. I assure you if they are appearing on any show, their name is definitely at the top of the marquee list. Because they came to tear the house down.
mamamoo are 4 soloists in a group, that's why you see the individuality in them. the same if you want to see more of each one they have more than 1 solo. Thank you for this good and well commented reaction. There are few who give such specific points of view.
There is a pair of "introducing Mamamoo" videos I think it's by Purplehawk. They are a good way to learn more about these artists. Except to say they are the TOP OF THE TOP. Some of the best stage performances anywhere EVER!!! There is a whole world of Mamamoo to discover. Some of the fan collections of them being funny and aggressively chaotic are really fun. Then BEST VOCAL moments will blow you away.
so hype to see someone getting into such a good group. for vocals maybe check out mamamoo immortal songs medley, its live but doesnt get blocked, so so goood
Cami i stood here for years waiting for you to dig deep into mamamoo i always knew you were gonna love it because they're one of the most truly talented kpop group. Also react to mamamoo immortal songs medley
4:42 Hwasa far right in killing voice, 4:55 Moonbyul sweater in killing voice 5:36 Wheein blazer dress in killing voice 5:40 Solar second from the left in killing voice
So excited to see you go down the Moomoo hole haha. It's cool and chill to stan visuals.. but it's more goosebumpy to stan powerful vocals. You'll definitely enjoy them as a group and solo artists.
Mamamoo are known for pushing boundries and addressing all sorts of topics in their songs and MV's. For example this video was about how toxic relashionship is like a rotten tooth that you need to remove and also Hip (The first MV you reacted to) was about being beautiful in your own way and not letting society dictate how you should look like and what you need to wear. Every single video of this group has a meaning behind it and it super uniqe as appose to other groups in the industry. I recommand you to do a deep dive into their personalities, you'll find some really interesting facts!! Oh and welcome to the moomoo fam, once you're in it's impossible to leave ;)
MAMAMOO is very iconic, hwasa is the reason why female and male idols can collab without getting shipped and they've worn teletubbie costumes to an event. Also hwasa's speech about beauty standards is beautiful. All in all the whole group is iconic, skilled and amazing, they're also very gay with eachother
Time for an introduction guide cami Would recommend you „The Mamamoo Introduction Guide of 2022“ by moo yt part 1 is about the members and part 2 is about the groups journey I rlly recommend you watching both cuz you will love them even more after this😍
Peace, love, rock & roll and mofo kpop to you too. Love that your hair matches the strat on the wall. Good for you to realize there was more going on in the MV than it's possible to figure out on the first view. Speaking of views, Hip is MMM's most popular song and has way over 300 mil views. I love Aya but it wasn't a hit and was the first title track that didn't make it into the top 10 in the weekly Gaon chart since 2015 when they were still rookies. I'll try to keep my interpretation of the MV as short as possible but there's a lot to explain so it's going to be on the long side. First off you asked about the members. In age order from the oldest to the youngest: Solar - Kim Yongsun: leader, vocals (unibrow) Moonbyul - Moon Byulie: rapper, performance, singer (archer) Wheein - Jung Wheein: vocals, performance (veils & hats) Hwasa - Ahn Hyejin: vocals, rapper (pickaxe) Performance is their term for dance & staging so you can think of Moonbyul & Wheein as the co-dance captains. Obviously their voices are their calling card but imo the slander that MMM can't dance is spread by antis looking for anything to criticize about MMM they can find. Mamamoo has never fit into the standard mold of female idols regarding beauty, fashion or behavior and they speak their minds about things they believe in such as their long-time lgbtq+ support, and consequently they've always been one of the biggest shit magnets in kpop. Ok, rant over, time for Aya. The concept is based on the Arabian Nights, more specifically western depictions of the Arabian Nights raging from the Ballets Russes to Disney's Aladdin. What does the Arabian Nights have to do with a breakup song, you ask? Good question, partly because the haters missed the point entirely and accused MMM of cultural appropriation. In Aya each member finds a different way to remove their lingering feelings for the ex-lover and in MMM songs love, passion and desire are risky business with an edge of danger and breakups are difficult and painful, of course. The connection starts with the backstory to the Arabian Nights - Scheherazade tells her 1001 tales because she's trying to distract her husband (the king) from his usual habit of killing his wives after his first night with them. Love doesn't get riskier than that but it's fiction and even more fictional are the portrayals of the Arabian Nights in western art, dance and film. The main costumes look like they were inspired by the Ballets Russes production of Scheherazade and MMM's performance of Aya at the 2020 MAMA award show was called the Agrabah version in a reference to Aladdin. So like those orientalist versions of exotic stories either love in general or this love affair specifically has been nothing more than a seductive fantasy, a romance novel that they've written themselves into as the female protagonist. Getting out of it isn't easy and three of the four members use violent methods. Wheein is the only pacifist of the bunch. She has been repressed and depressed during the affair, symbolized by the veils, hats, and dark makeup, and when she liberates herself we see her light a candle and all the lights in the room come on magically. Hwasa compares the lover to a rotten tooth so she turns herself into a dominatrix dentist and smashes away with a pickaxe to painfully extract her feelings. Moonbyul feels attacked, which is represented by the room with the shafts of light striking at her. She replies by killing her feelings with an arrow. Solar has the most complex character. She said the unibrow was inspired by Frida Kahlo but didn't explain what Frida has to do with her character in the MV or why she's dressed as a classic Asian ghost with extra long hair and a white dress. Frida Kahlo lived most of her life in pain after having her pelvis impaled during a bus accident. Young female Asian ghosts are thought to be haunted (so to speak) by lost love. Put them together in the context of the song and you end up with the final scene where Solar impales the bowl of her tears with a dagger to ritually exorcize her feelings. Note that these outlandish characters have nothing to do with the Arabian Nights and don't fit into the main set & costume design. Except Wheein. Imo Wheein is Aya's equivalent of Scheherazade and the other three role play characters in the bizarre breakup stories Wheein tells, tho I have to admit I don't see any clues in the MV to support that theory other than the bare facts that she's the only one who doesn't leave the world of the Arabian Nights and the only one who doesn't do anything extreme. That's just my opinion and interpretation but I hope it helps. Mamamoo rarely explains their songs and MVs in detail and leave them up to us to interpret for ourselves. If you want songs that showcase their vocals start with their live performance of I Miss You on the competition tv show Queendom. The network doesn't block reactions to Queendom. Then watch the MVs for their vocal masterpieces Paint Me and Where Are We Now. They're not safe for reactions but all 14 of Mamamoo's appearances on the singing competition tv show Immortal Songs are must-see. My faves are Delilah and Backwoods but they're all spectacular so you can't go wrong. Have fun!
For more MVs I recommend: Egotistic, Decalcomanie, and their debut song Mr Ambiguous For live performances: Any of their performances on the show Immortal songs or the Immortal songs medley from their concert. For getting to know the members better: Introducing Mamamoo by Purple Hawke (it's also funny af)
yes cami !!!!! i love seeing you react to mamamoo as they are one of my all time faves !!! i’d recommend watching egotistic next it’s my personal fave song by them
I like Mamamoo's Starry Night.. eventhough I did not knew them before and I randomly heard the song in shuffled spotify kpop playlist, it literally made me stop what I was doing and look through my phone to see what the title was and who sings it.
I recommend watching "Egotistic" - Some people associate AYA (I can see it) - It's a great song - Visuals 🔥🔥🔥 + 💀 - You can see what their choreography looked like before they started doing more intense choreo (which started HIP era). You can also go back and react to the songs that were in the Killing Voice (as a place to start) 🙂
OH MY GOODNESS YES YES!! Dude sorry that I'm late but that's okay- I am so glad that you are back and I was waiting for your reaction to this I knew you were going to Malfunction and to be honest I did too I had no idea what to say they all killed me! Wheein (at 4:15 and 9:21) in that outfit was just stupid and made me have a Heart Attack and her high note near the end was just Phenomenal, Solar (at 4:05 and 10:30) killed me with looking so Gorgeous (EVEN WITH THE MONOBROW) AGAIN and her lip bite near the end as well just killed me, Hwasa (at 4:21 and 5:00) is just Wow- she looks so Gorgeous and you right Hwasa on the floor should be illegal just Wow, and Moonbyul (at 4:48 and 7:00) just killed me she looks so Handsome and her Rap was Wow she is definitely one of my favorite Rappers! Let's just say they all were SUPER LETHAL and this was pretty much everyone's Era again just Wow! Anyways I can't wait for you to react to more Mamamoo such as more Music Videos, B - Sides, Live Performances, Covers, Dance Practices, Moments, and of course Ships- I can't wait for more Content from you and I hope that you are doing well and staying safe and healthy Cami! P.S. If you ever need any good Videos I could totally help you out if you need it, also you should DEFINITELY check out Red Velvet X Aespa Beautiful Christmas- the song was GORGEOUS plus the vocals were insane (and you need to check out more Red Velvet, and Aespa as well)!!
If you want to watch them performing live with their amazing vocals, you need to watch their "Immortal Songs Medley" because I swear you'll fall inlove with them more😍
the unibrow is a reference to frida kahlo - solar's said she wanted to embody a character a strong woman (concept),as the lyrics are about cooly cutting off a "rotten tooth" and also just breaking barriers and putting representation of conventionally unattractive traits into the mainstream and looking gorgeous
Immortal Songs Medley is a must if you would like to hear more of their harmonies. I believe you little gay heart you love Shutdown by Moonbyul (the rapper of Mamamoo). Make sure to watch it with the captions on though, it is important.
If no one explained: Aya is a sound you make (well Koreans make lol) when something hurts, like having a rotten/cavity filled tooth that should be pulled, it's a metaphor for getting rid of old feelings & they're describing the feelings of having to keep these old memories of a breakup
Cami it would be a dream to see you react to the 2 part introduction to mamamoo by purple hawk. It's so well made, a bit outdated in terms of comebacks but it encapsulates their personalities so well 💚💚💚💚
Immortal songs medley is a necessary performance. And MVs... Where are we now, egotistic, paint me, starry night... And their videos of presentation and best vocals are grate.
a few hours ago i found your reaction to their killing voice video and now you post this, perfect timing✨ you should definitely react to each of their solo works, all of them are amazing. also thay way you can hear more of moonbyul's singing voice
If you want to check out their more underrated songs, there's "My Star", which is a B Side of one of their albums. They don't have a music video for it though, but they did sing it live during one of their concerts. Here is the link with Eng Sub ua-cam.com/video/NgaNHb15av4/v-deo.html
Hwasa - the one who always seduces you Moonbyul - main rapper, but can also sing just as well! Solar - wowwed you with her high notes Whee in - beautiful voice, beautiful presence I love them all so much and im so happy your reacting to them! I just subscribed so i hope you enjoy and react to more of their music!!
please please please react to their immortal songs performances! their medley is a start but its a whole different experience to watch every single one.
I think you should definitely check out more Mamamoo and Moonbyul (the more masc rapper) She did a song with Seori called *She Said* and it rotates around a lesbian couple and its ssoooooo cute!(and steamy) but also her solo Eclipse is soo sexy too!!! Thank you for loving our girls!! Fans really appreciate it!!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
if you really wanna go for the vocals, then i would recommend watching mamamoo on immortal song! My personal faves and recommendations would be "Delilah", "passion flower" and "Wonderful confession"!!
MAMAMOO IMMORTAL SONGS MEDLEY ua-cam.com/video/h3YCi0qBMzs/v-deo.html And the BEST INTO to the group... INTRODUCING MAMAMOO! (Part 1: Solar & Moonbyul) ua-cam.com/video/PVzvILc7Qxs/v-deo.html INTRODUCING MAMAMOO! (Part 2: Wheein & Hwasa) ua-cam.com/video/OwDFQCpm7-A/v-deo.html
About the cultural background, I think "kudgeon d"'s comment explains a lot. I remember there are actually some references about Greek myths but I don't remember the details. The unibrow concept Solar did is a sign of beauty in some cultures, and can also be seen as a way that Solar challenged mainstream standard of beauty nowaday. She also challenged different concepts in other MV such as half-half human in HIP, bald head in Spit it Out, and extra moles on her face for Honey MV as moles in different locations mean differently in different cultures. For vocals, Mamamoo songs are all about good vocals with great music. But first I will suggest check their live performances on it's live channel for Mr. Ambiguous, Where are we now, and ILLELA. I miss you on Queendom is the one that many would suggest but there are many live performances of the song on YT. The on YHY's sketchbook is also good. Then, you can try to react to their Immortal songs medley or go through all their performances on Immortal Songs 2 as they are all masterpieces. However, Mamamoo has a huge discography and they have recorded more than 400 songs (440+ in wider definitions) for both group and solo project in the past 9- years. They are one of the most hardworking and talented group that I have ever seen. Picking any b-side would surprise you by its good quality and great vocals as I really have trouble to recommend you just a few. BTW, the Korean Christina Aguilera - Solar did a AYA acapella in her YT channel Solarsido. She did a lot of background vocals for AYA as in many Mamamoo songs, and you can see her did it clearly in her acapella cover while she also covered some instrumental sounds!
"Hwa Sa". Dearest Cami. THAT is your babe. P.S. you are by far the most informative vocal video reactor I have ever come across. I wait anxiously for anything and everything you do.
If you’re looking for more of their vocals, you should watch their Immortal Songs performances. It’s a tv show where artists are invited to cover songs that fit the theme of the episode. Oh, and I already mentioned this in another comment but Wheein’s Kiana Lede dance video is So Good. & she wears a two piece suit for it so 🤭
I really love watching your reaction videos. I recommend their performance in MAMA 2018 Japan. It's one of my favorite live performance of Mamamoo. Hope you'll make a reaction to it. 😊
Mamamoo is first known as an ultimate vocal group and next Performance as opposed to merely dancing. During concerts they do crazy things like pole dance, float above the stage playing a drumkit, comedy skits and magic show during a concert, so when they do choreo it is as performers more than dancers. However, they are all great dancers. Wheein(wearing the mask) and Moonbyul (rapper) especially are great dancers. I know you dont know the names but Hwasa (in black with the teeth) has a great dance choreo in her solo I'm a B and the group leader Solar( the unibrow goddess) has some excellent dance videos on her youtube channel Solarsido, Wheein also has some videos on her channel Whee in. Moonbuil2da he her tooutube. They all have solo albums. Solar is my bias, her Album Face, there is a performance video for it, I recommend it. This song is mainly about toxic bad boyfriends or others I suppose and removing them from life. Aya means ouch, like a papercut ouch. Many of their songs and MVs tell a story. You should go for some live videos. There are very few groups who sound so good live, they match their studio recordings and they can carry that singing talent through 3 and 4 hour concerts.
watching this back I feel like there's SOO much that I missed lolol but regardless- I LOVE MAMAMOO. They are amazing. What do you guys recommend I react to next?!?!
wind flower! the music video is absolutely stunning and the song is a classic ❤
You should react to their solo songs to get to know better the style and range of each one of them :)
Immortal songs medley, the vocals are really impressive
Dingga :D
Definitely Wind Flower and Starry Night, which you will definitely enjoy, but also Egotistic, Gogobebe and Dingga! I have a feeling you'll have a lot of fun with all their songs, specially if you dive into their solo work as well! Here's wishing you happy holidays and a very happy new year =D
You really need to watch Mamamoos performances. They arguably have some of the best stage presence in the industry.
omg I will definitely react to this next bc I need to see their stage presence!
Not only that but they don't know how to playback lol
All their performances are LIVE
@@CamiPetyn They all also have a solo career outside of the group if you wanna check them out.
@@CamiPetyn omg can’t wait !❤ You won’t be disappointed they are know to be major performers in the industry as solo’s and as a group.
@@CamiPetyn if you want to see their performance and stage presence. react to their immortal songs medley ua-cam.com/video/h3YCi0qBMzs/v-deo.html
Also in spanish in some countries we say aya o aia for ouch.
They also don't do the hard dance routines because they prefer to sing live.
6:34 Her name is Solar (Mamamoo's leader)
Please react to their solo songs! 🙏🙏🙏
Solar: Spit it Out, Honey, Big Booty, Zingle Zingle
Moonbyul: Selfish, Eclipse, Lunatic, C.I.T.T
Wheein: Easy, Water Color, Make Me Happy
Hwasa: Be Calm, Twit, María, I'm a B
Spit It Out might kill Cami she seems very drawn to Solar.
Definitely Mamamoo mv Where are we now 🥰 vocals are stunning 😍
yeah ofc
Mamamoo!!! They are the best!!
Egotistic
Wind flower
Gogobebe
Hip
Mamamoo's immortal medley is a must Cami💗
"they only release quality" SO true
Mamamoo are so talented and underrated. Would definitely recommend reacting to more of them. They're also so fun and lovely.
i wouldn't say underrated. not everyone will like what you like. someone reacted to Illela and said it's not his cup of tea. then he reacted to Stray Kids and lost his mind. this person prefers the bangers of Stray Kids instead of Mamamoo. people simply have different preferences.
@@SapiaNt0mata yeah good for them. Not a big BP fan so i don't really care what boxes they tick lol you're right it is what it is though
I love your mamamoo reactions😍 mamamoo got me into kpop and they are just sooo talented, funny and just amazing human being 🙏🏻
They are soooo talented!
She already reacted to HIP
"Where are we now" is legit one of the best ballad and harmonies made by Mamamoo!!! please react to it
Mamamoo is very much the type of group when you tell them they can't do something they will gun at the opportunity to prove you wrong, so when word started getting around that they were just a vocal group and couldn't dance they started stepping up the choreos for their comebacks essentially as their response to the rumours 😂 it's fun to see the progress into this as they built more confidence, you can definitely see their rebellion (especially about the industry and the culture around it) in the types of message, music and beauty they decide to uphold in the spotlight
Cami you introduce me to so many songs and groups.Thank you.
I literally knew Dreamcatcher because of you 😘
Welcome to mamamoo, just know, than once you get into them there's no going back, they are amazing!
Their vocals are everything, and recently our amazing rapper moonbyul has finally got more confidence to show off her own vocals! They are 4 adorable dorks, and you're going to find song where they literally slander each other (taller than you 1cm and sleep in the car)
They have very gay energy (there's a reason why their fan base is basically all women) and you can find some very gay songs in their solos (my personal favourite is shutdown by Moonbyul)
I also suggest checking out their performances on the survival show Queendom, especially good luck and I miss you
That's what made me fall in love with them!
1. MAMAMOO MAMA 2018 Full Performance
2. MAMAMOO MAMA 2019 Full Performance
3. MAMAMOO GOODLUCK QUEENDOM Performance
They were so creative with these 3 performances and led everyone in awe with their Stage Presence. I hope you'd consider checking these out.🙏
✨MANIFESTING MORE MAMAMOO CONTENTS ✨
Starry Night Mamamoo is a must.. their MV is stunning.
“HIP” is the most viewed video from MAMAMOO) But I love AYA too!!!
Mamamoo never disappoints. Their live performances are even better. They are so confident on stage.
finally more mamamoo content 😁 I love these girls so much! So glad youre loving them too! please react to more of them hehehe 🙏🏼
i love MAMAMOO cause doesn't sounds like generic kpop 😻💚
Ohhh yes! MAMAMOO 💕💕💕
They are my favorite girl group! They are soo talented and also so f*cking funny. You should really do a guide to get to know them better 👌
Also, once you Whee-in, you can't Whee-out 😉
Oh, and here are my recommendations for your next Mamamoo reaction:
Mr. Ambiguous
Um Oh Ah Yeh
Ahh Oop (feat. Esna)
Décalcomanie
Yes I Am
1cm (Taller Than You)
Everyone is going to tell you "Immortal Songs medley",.. it's a total gas!!
Mamamoo Immortal Song Medley!!!
Mamamoo Queendom Decalcomanie and I Miss You!!!
And now let me enjoy another cami contents cause I freaking love your reaction ,it gets to me
lol aww yay thank you
so hype to see someone getting into such a good group. for vocals maybe check out mamamoo immortal songs medley, its live but doesnt get blocked, so so goood
Watching you become a Moomoo is just filling my heart! 💜💚💜💚
If you want a second wife you should see the shutdown from moonbyul, the rapper of mamamoo, with lyrics and just enjoy your freak out
Mamamoo are known for pushing boundries and addressing all sorts of topics in their songs and MV's.
Mamamoo are great. I fell in love with them with the song "HIP", so cool.
im so *ready* for this descent into mamamoo
I loved this choreography. I do it randomly in public and while driving. This is my favorite song by them.
Hip is by far their most-watched video with over 300 million views. Mamamoo and BP are both K-pop girl groups but as artists, they are very different.
Trust me with every reaction you do about MAMAMOO you gonna fell in love with them even more every time
Time for an introduction guide cami
Would recommend you „The Mamamoo Introduction Guide of 2022“ by moo yt part 1 is about the members and part 2 is about the groups journey I rlly recommend you watching both cuz you will love them even more after this😍
I can't believe you guys missed this song.
1. Yes I am
2. You're the best
3. Um Oh Ah Yeh
I was shocked that no one recommended these three songs.
Same, and decalcomanie too!
And No more drama
Just do the Purple Hawk guide to Mamamoo if you want to know more about these Queens!!!
In age order from the oldest to the youngest:
Solar - Kim Yongsun: leader, vocals (unibrow)
Moonbyul - Moon Byulie: rapper, performance, singer (archer)
Wheein - Jung Wheein: vocals, performance (veils & hats)
Hwasa - Ahn Hyejin: vocals, rapper (pickaxe)
Performance is their term for dance & staging so you can think of Moonbyul & Wheein as the co-dance captains.
Have fun!
For more MVs I recommend: Egotistic, Decalcomanie, and their debut song Mr Ambiguous
For live performances: Any of their performances on the show Immortal songs or the Immortal songs medley from their concert.
For getting to know the members better: Introducing Mamamoo by Purple Hawke (it's also funny af)
yes cami !!!!! i love seeing you react to mamamoo as they are one of my all time faves !!! i’d recommend watching egotistic next it’s my personal fave song by them
There's a traditional remix of this song. 100% recommend. It was such a cool spin on the song.
I like Mamamoo's Starry Night.. eventhough I did not knew them before and I randomly heard the song in shuffled spotify kpop playlist, it literally made me stop what I was doing and look through my phone to see what the title was and who sings it.
I recommend watching "Egotistic"
- Some people associate AYA (I can see it)
- It's a great song
- Visuals 🔥🔥🔥 + 💀
- You can see what their choreography looked like before they started doing more intense choreo (which started HIP era).
P.S. If you ever need any good Videos I could totally help you out if you need it, also you should DEFINITELY check out Red Velvet X Aespa Beautiful Christmas- the song was GORGEOUS plus the vocals were insane (and you need to check out more Red Velvet, and Aespa as well)!!
highly recommend " MAMAMOO - paint me , where are we now " These two song are perfect !! trust me
If you want to watch them performing live with their amazing vocals, you need to watch their "Immortal Songs Medley" because I swear you'll fall inlove with them more😍
the unibrow is a reference to frida kahlo - solar's said she wanted to embody a character a strong woman (concept),as the lyrics are about cooly cutting off a "rotten tooth" and also just breaking barriers and putting representation of conventionally unattractive traits into the mainstream and looking gorgeous
I've been waiting for this moment for years
Immortal Songs Medley is a must if you would like to hear more of their harmonies.
Welcome to the nation of Moomoo. Please enjoy the hospitality of our lovely, talented and goofy Queens. The mighty Mamamoo.

If you want to check out their more underrated songs, there's "My Star", which is a B Side of one of their albums. They don't have a music video for it though, but they did sing it live during one of their concerts. Here is the link with Eng Sub ua-cam.com/video/NgaNHb15av4/v-deo.html

If you want 100% vocals and harmonies. Immortal songs medley is a must. Thank you for showing love for my fave 😍😍😍
