Just watching this now; I knew my boy Nightbringer wouldn't win against the Hydra. xD There's a lot of strength in numbers not only because sheer quantity but because the AI can only focus on one foe at a time. Oh hey, nice to see you here again! 🥳 He did pretty well still, not a lot of NPCs can even get to the Hydra's second state! But you're right, all the heads were a little too much, especially because he can't shout often enough. 😅 I have read that the Marked for Death glitch got fixed in an AE update, but I still play SE because updating would break some of my mods. 😅 I assume the easiest way to deal with this would be to look at the fix in the update, and apply the same fix in your mod if you care to release it for us SE players as well. 😅 In case you get stuck at some point, maybe I can help. My modding experience is probably not as good as yours, but I have made some things as well. 😄 On a side note: If you don't mind me asking, how did you find my videos? Do you watch Skyrim battles, or did it get recommended to you or something? I've been curious since the first time you commented back then, because it kinda made my day 😂
@@lSlendermaster I only have Classic Skyrim and so what I would probably do is to either make my own Marked For Death shout or add/make another spell to replace it. It's looking like the Nightbringer uses the Dremora Lord summon too much, so maybe I'll add a stronger Shade summon or add a Wraith summon that the AI could consider summoning just as often as the Dremora Lord. And then when the update gets released for LE, what I do is ask a mod author friend to convert it for SE. (RE: how I find the videos) So sometimes -this is quite funny and embarrassing 😅 - I like feeling validated or something and look up my mods here on YT or elsewhere, haha. Anyway, I've had this idea where I make an Auroran creature of mine in another mod hunt the player like Nightbringer if the player is a vampire. :3 Not sure if I'll ever get to it, but: Would you have him (Vyrmilion, in the Equinox mod) fight Nightbringer or something? Haha. Nylhac too~ I think Kharizesthe (Seth) and Ferrine has some combat potential too, maybe.
@@Caerulean Ahh, I see! That sounds good. About the Dremora Lord: I like that he summons that, but a Shade or Wraith would be really interesting too, so I wouldn't mind seeing that. 😄 That's completely understandable! Nothing embarrassing about it. 😄 I'm glad you stumbled upon my videos! I just took a look at that mod. From what I'm getting, it changes Kilkreath Ruins and might remove Malkoran as well? I want to avoid that because Malkoran's damage output is tied to his location, so the only way I can keep his full potential is by keeping everything there as it is. 😅
@@lSlendermaster The Shade and the Wraith are already in the mod. The Shade looks like the Nightbringer but has no scythe, is weaker, and is a mage. I suspect he doesn't get summoned as much, in your battles is that he's a lower-level summon and I assume you run these at max level, and the AI usually prefers to use their best spells. The Wraith is how the Nightbringer is summoned normally. It's essentially Mihail's dementor but with some adjustments from me. The Equinox mod only replaces the original temple sometime after you complete Meridia's quest. It doesn't remove Malkoran or anything important in that quest. It uses a copy of the original temple which it doesn't delete or anything. So if you already have a save with Malkoran still alive in his boss room, you don't have to worry about anything. And 'deleting' Malkoran would break the original quest. Though if a mod 'removes' an NPC or something else, their record would still be in the game. So if a mod removed Malkoran, you can still find him in the records by doing 'help malkoran' in the console commands for example. Actually, I think he's not uniquely named in the records and is called something like 'dunkilkreathwarlock'. (* looks it up * Oh wow, I got it right; that's actually his editor name. It's been years since I last saw his editor name, haha, I think.) Any mod shouldn't delete important records like that.
@@Caerulean I have seen both of them, but I meant it would be cool to see them more often. 😅 In my battles, he went for the Dremora Lord most of the time, so I didn't really get to see the other summons. By the way, I appreciate that you listed the command to deactivate the Nightbringer spawn in your Nexus description! He kept spawning during my recordings, which led to funny bloopers, but it was a bit much sometimes. 😂 Ohh, good to know! Yeah, that solves the problem. Thanks for the info! I need to try that mod sometime. Are there any changes about it that you have planned? 😄 Fair enough! I have spent a lot of time analyzing Malkoran and everything about him because I was trying to figure out the exact mechanics about his damage, but there are still some things unresolved. That's why I was concerned about anything changing him or his location; if I don't know the exact source of the mechanics, anything that is connected might still affect them. 😅
They're not included by default, if that's what you mean? 😅 But all of them should be compatible with it. The Nexus links are in the description if you're curious!
Good question! It causes a mass stagger effect when it starts. Other than that, I don't think it does anything. It's technically a variation of the Storm Call effect that Alduin uses, but without the meteors, and I don't think it has any other effect 🤔
@@TheMoltenpepper Commands are only available on PC. For consoles, there might be mods, but they're probably not comparable to the commands. For example, I spawn NPCs with the "player.placeatme" command. I toggle the global AI by using "tai" and "tdetect", so they won't fight right away. For NPCs that are normally allied with each other, raising their aggression to the highest level is done with "setav aggression 3" on them. With no access to commands, you would need something comparable for basic fights 😅

The hydra is actually based on frostbite spiders, but yeah, still vanilla animations. It hides that pretty well though, especially with all the heads.
How does the hydra fair against Karstaag?
It turns out it's a really good fight! You can watch it here (last round): ua-cam.com/video/jnEj7ZIhYqg/v-deo.html
What if you did the combat overhaul mods. For this content.
I wouldn't want to deal with switching through mods constantly 😅
Modded battles are dope. By now nobody shld have vanilla skyrim
Good to hear modded battles are enjoyable! 😎 My game still is mostly vanilla 😂
@@lSlendermaster i rmber a popular content creator. I think it was Manslayer. who used to do such battles. It was dope but Ive always wished ppl wld do this for modded content. glad you did it
@@lingkangrui3958 He was my inspiration to make my own battles! Awesome that you're thinking of him. I'll do more modded battles at some point 😎
ngl after that first fight with the hydra i thought he was cooked then its oh he has a second stage ok oh and a third and they do more damage than the first stage. bro fighting dirty lol
I like the different stages. It's a cool idea. 😂 Maybe a bit much with 4 phases, but still nice
I feel hydra would be designed better if only one head attacked out at a time. Idk where the author gets 5 heads from cutting off one.
To be fair, I found it a bit strange too. But I like it as a boss mechanic. It's something I've never seen in any game so far, and it's well executed in this mod 😄
how about a tournament with the bosses from vigilant?
I don't have that mod and am not planning on getting it because it's too big 😅
@@lSlendermaster I understand that but when you consider each mihail monster mod is close to 100mb and vigilant which has 20+ bosses without counting the miniboss NPCs is 800mb I think it could get you more bang for your buck
@@monkiplatts9224 I didn't also mean the file size, but also the mod itself. Like Mihail's mods are pretty straightforward, but with Vigilant, I would probably have to do all the quests first, which I wouldn't want to do just for videos. 😅 Considering even vanilla NPCs can be vastly different depending on quests, scripts, and other things which cause anomalies that you wouldn't expect, I would have to spend a lot of time simply understanding the mod creatures to make fair battles
Dude, can you please download precision and enable weapon trail for npc's
I couldn't even if I wanted to because of an incompability 🤷
Just watching this now; I knew my boy Nightbringer wouldn't win against the Hydra. xD There's a lot of strength in numbers not only because sheer quantity but because the AI can only focus on one foe at a time. Cleave and AoE can help, though. 🤔
Anywho, I've yet to get around to making a built-in fix or replacement for Marked for Death. 😅
Oh hey, nice to see you here again! 🥳 He did pretty well still, not a lot of NPCs can even get to the Hydra's second state! But you're right, all the heads were a little too much, especially because he can't shout often enough. 😅
I have read that the Marked for Death glitch got fixed in an AE update, but I still play SE because updating would break some of my mods. 😅
I assume the easiest way to deal with this would be to look at the fix in the update, and apply the same fix in your mod if you care to release it for us SE players as well. 😅
In case you get stuck at some point, maybe I can help. My modding experience is probably not as good as yours, but I have made some things as well. 😄
On a side note: If you don't mind me asking, how did you find my videos?
That's completely understandable!
It's been years since I last saw his editor name, haha, I think.)
Any mod shouldn't delete important records like that.
Ohh, good to know! Yeah, that solves the problem. Thanks for the info! I need to try that mod sometime. Are there any changes about it that you have planned? 😄
Fair enough! 😅
Are these in anniversary addition ?
They're not included by default, if that's what you mean? 😅 But all of them should be compatible with it. The Nexus links are in the description if you're curious!
Mihail the legend
Indeed!
One question, does the weather change the Sentinel does every round actually do anything ?
Good question! It causes a mass stagger effect when it starts. Other than that, I don't think it does anything. It's technically a variation of the Storm Call effect that Alduin uses, but without the meteors, and I don't think it has any other effect 🤔
This should've been the other 7 teaming up against the hydra.
The Hydra would have lost very easily, plus that would be too large, chaotic, and laggy 😄
@@lSlendermaster hmm... how about... team fights? Like the woodland spirit and nordic sentinel vs the hydra and the reaper dude?
@@callumkristofer7793 I'm not into team fights. Those are hard to balance, inconsistent, and hard to watch and record 😅

Hmm, I do wonder if it will. 🤔 The other one is going pretty crazy, but this one also got 2000 views in a day 😂
.me think Hydra needs a bit more balancing
Most creatures in this tournament are very strong compared to vanilla opponents, but the Hydra is definitely a little OP 😆
Well it’s designed to be an OP mod creature but you still have a vanilla creature (Karstaag) who can beat it
Nice video mate
...hydra ez ...
Thank you! 😎
What mod are you making mobs fight each other?
It's not a mod, just console commands 😄
@@lSlendermaster idk how to do such on my xbox is it just for pc? If so could you give me some basic commands?
@@TheMoltenpepper Commands are only available on PC. For consoles, there might be mods, but they're probably not comparable to the commands.
For example, I spawn NPCs with the "player.placeatme" command. I toggle the global AI by using "tai" and "tdetect", so they won't fight right away. For NPCs that are normally allied with each other, raising their aggression to the highest level is done with "setav aggression 3" on them. With no access to commands, you would need something comparable for basic fights 😅
@@lSlendermaster appreciate you. Thanks for taking the time.
@@TheMoltenpepper You're welcome, I'm glad I could help!
hydra went easy on them too assuming most of those enemies are undead and resist the poison attacks
Yes, you're right! All of the creatures here are immune to poison (aside from summons like the Nightbringer's Dremora Lord)
@lSlendermaster I had to just run the first time I found the hydra just from all the poison attacks that thing does. I think I fought a harder version of it, too, because it had rapid hp regen 💀
@@typhoonic You use that mod too? 👀 That's awesome!
There are no different versions, it's always the same base type. 😄 The Hydra here regenerates health as well, which you can see if you take a close look at the healthbar in the final round.
The damage over time from the Bone Colossus' attack, and the Marked for Death shout from the Nightbringer deactivate the regeneration in the other rounds 😄
@@lSlendermaster Ahhh, i see. and yeah, my archer-druid and bard-barbarian both couldn't beat the hydra... I had to send in my mage who eventually overpowered it but also had some good enough barrier spells to not get insta k.o'd like my poor barbarian lol
@@typhoonic He Hydra is *very* OP indeed! 😂 Was it a fun fight for you or rather frustrating?
The problem with the hydra is, that it is so broken, with 4 phases

The hydra s not fair
It's overpowered, but all participants here are immune to its poison, which makes a huge difference 😄
Hydra basically has 3 life + minions. She needs to die after she is defeated twice because respawn 3 times + minions is too much.
I like the multiple phases, but it's debatable how many would be best, so I'm not disagreeing 😄
Hydra looks mediocre, and its movement animations look super clunky. But it's an interesting idea.
I think the look is great, but the animations do look kinda clunky, yeah. It's unfortunate how hard animating in Skyrim is
