I'm not sure if he's any more powerful than Ahzidal in lore, but gameplay-wise, he's just a generic fire-based Dragon Priest. Nothing special about him besides the name 😂

I also thought that 10 Briarhearts should do massive damage already, but all the stagger from the fire tornados and the meteors pretty much disabled them long enough. Also, you're right, his armor is extremely high, reaching the armor cap if he also has his flesh spell active. Additionally, he has the Dragon Skin perk which further reduces physical damage done by NPCs by 50%. This stacks with armor rating and is not affected by the armor cap, so he effectively has 90% resistance to physical damage. Always fun to see some random German words in there! 😂

I took a look at him, and he has the same stats as a generic frost troll, except that he has much less stamina. So he's technically worse, or at least not any better than them 😅

Yeah, the ragdoll is the main reason why one or even several Ebony Warriors won't be able to do much. I'll probably combine him with Karstaag and/or Charstaag. Possibly in multiple rounds.

I do see the appeal of bringing an otherwise non-existent NPC to life. As with many, if not most mods, balancing is really hard and always up to personal preference and knowledge. Daedric Princes are on a different level than most beings on Nirn, so it makes sense to me that the power gap is huge. Of course, it's still debatable what the right power level should be. The same goes for the majority of vanilla NPCs too. I just showcase the characters that I think are interesting and well made 😄

I make these characters to fight themselves, they are not meant to be fought by the player. By default, any Daedric Prince should be beyond the scale of the Dragonborn's powers, so it makes sense players shouldn't be able to defeat them.

The Dragonborn has access to Alchemy, Smithing and Enchanting, he can beat anything.

@@thatskeletordude5271 only by game mechanics. In lore, neither of these abilities can't bring you close to the level of a Daedric Prince. If that was the case, Divayth Fyr, Psijic Order or even master blacksmiths with no magic abilities could make a god-killing weapon. It's not possible in the lore.

@@TroySavary That's very true, yeah. I do think Alduin shouldn't be as strong as he is in the lore, because he would be nearly unbeatable for casual players, but he should have a few adjustments

He switches to two one-handed melee weapons at close ranges, although he'll only uses one if he's about to cast a spell. 😄 Fire-type dragons are 50% resistant to fire (with Alduin having the same resistance), and also 50% physical resistance against damage done by NPCs, so they're really tanky in NPC fights. Both Dagon and the Pyromancers "only" have 30% magic resistance, but the fire tornado spell can get blocked with wards. If that's successful, the tornado gets absorbed and disappears. Cool that you suggest those other creatures, that might be cool to see! I have some other ideas too, let's see how everything works out! I'm not sure about the Daedric Princes, since Sam isn't that good, and Sheogorath doesn't fight by default, and I just made him use the Wabbajack. 😅

@@lSlendermaster O, Sam Sanguine was just suggested as a joke battle to demonstrate, how during programming the developers made a deadric prince that in the context of the story was as strong as a god, but in terms of gameplay can easily be beaten. Sheogorath could demonstrate that his power can varry between ''over the top'' and ''completely useless'', when he uses the Wabbajack and we could see if Mehrunes Dagon has immunity towards the effects of it. It is funny to see, how there is a great seperation between gameplay and story in terms of power for specific NPC's. Mehrunes Dagon may be an over the top character, when you see his strenght, but it matches his power told within the story.

​@@InsanityLuc Ahh, makes sense! It's funny how different some NPCs are from the lore. The heroes in the Hall of Valor are also rather generic level 30 NPCs. Jurgen Windcaller doesn't even have any shouts. 😂 I already felt like putting Sheogorath with the Wabbajack against Sam Guevenne was awkward, because I don't think a Daedric Prince should be affected by stuff like transformation effects. To be fair, all essential NPCs will only take elemental explosion hits, so under normal conditions, that's all Sam has to worry about. But he doesn't have a specific resistance against it. It's just the essential status, like any other essential NPC in the game 😂

And with a few modded spells or items 😆

Yeah from what I’ve seen of Zapstagg, he’s definitely capable of giving Dagon a good fight by himself.

I think 3 staags would ragdoll him too much. 2 of them vs Dagon would probably make for a good fight though.

Ohh yeah, it happens a lot. 😂 I remember when a dragon shot the Ebony Warrior up in the air like that, and another dragon attacked him. Crazy moment!

Yeah, lots of weird decisions, you're right. 😂 The Ebony Warrior is primarily a melee character, but if he had been further away, he would actually have kept using his bow. So this was unlucky for him. When I put him and the Hall of Valor against Karstaag, the Ebony Warrior took almost all of Karstaag's health away with his bow 😆

The tentacles actually don't do any poison damage. It's just a visual effect. Their spit attacks are different 😄

@ Yeah, the spit is similar to “mora’s agony” and Miraak’s staff to my knowledge. I know first hand that mf hurts because it near-oneshot me yesterday.

I don't use any mods that alter her appearance. Usually, I put her at the same level as her opponent at each particular round. It's not always ideal but probably the best approach

@lSlendermaster you might not be using any mods for direct altering appearance, but it is still present, that for example her face is low quality compare to regular graphics

The sword issue happens with other NPCs as well. It's a strange bug, but luckily, nothing that breaks anything. 😅 As for his combat behavior: He starts off with his sword because he tries to cast a few spells first (iron flesh, frost cloak), and use his shout. After that, or if he takes too long like from getting staggered multiple times, he switches to his shield. Once a certain amount of time has passed, or his spell effects run out, he tries to cast them again. During that, he might still try to block, but can only do so with his sword. Once again, he can run out of time to cast his spells, which makes him return back to his shield. Other NPCs show the same behavior (provide they have the spells, of course), and it can get pretty awkward at times 😂

Yeah, that's not the point of my videos. 😅 Aside from things like bugs, I don't like to mod the NPCs the way I think they should be. I just have them fight and observe the results

Good question! It needs a bit of an explanation. Technically speaking, there are several versions of Miraak in the game. For example, the one that you fight, the one that first appears and speaks to you in Apocrypha, and the ethereal one that steal your dragon souls all have different IDs. The individual that you fight at the end is immune to all sorts of ragdoll. He can't get thrown off like that, although it's still possible for him to fall off by himself if he goes for ranged attacks and keeps his distance. You can also help by pushing him further with attacks. However, he can't die from that. The water down there negates fall damage, and aside from that, Miraak's battle script makes sure he always stays alive until the final battle stage has been triggered, where he gets killed during the cutscene. So at best, he'll be down there not able to reach you anymore 😂

Now I'm curious how it goes between a Ravager shaman and a Briarheart shaman. 🤔 I need to do this sometime! Oh yeah, the paralyze effect. I was surprised when I first saw that happen here. In fact, Forsworn mages are the only NPCs in the entire vanilla game who can do that, which explains why we never see it otherwise 😄

Yes, Tsun is actually very good! I've seen him kill other players pretty often. 😂 And you're probably right. Aside from Falx, I can't think of a 2-handed warrior stronger than him. Giants clubs are technically classified as greatswords, but I guess that doesn't count 😆

@ They did him dirty. Ahzidal, first Nordic master of the arcane, cant reanimate an enemy at his own level. Bethesda scammed him.

From what I know, it's not confirmed that he's actually allowed to go to Sovngarde, right? He just says that he wants to end up there, but chances are that he'll be quite disappointed after his death. 😅

@ no no after he dies I’m pretty sure his voice line says sovergard at last !! I’m taking that as he was accepted bc who else deserves it 😭

@@xSeulgi He says that as he dies, but he's still in his mortal form there. 😂 I wish for him to go to the Hall of Valor, but if you kill him before you travel there, he won't appear in Sovngarde. I don't know if that's an oversight or not. Either way, it's pretty sad. He definitely deserves it more than almost everyone else!
