Gatekeeper is a fast-paced rogue-like. Go on a quest to find the stolen Heart of the Universe and shoot your way through the hordes of machine enemies guarding the planetary gates. Play solo or in 4 people co-op and become the next Guardian!
The Heart of the Universe has been stolen by powerful forces. You must head to an unknown galaxy, find the heart and reclaim it. But your mission isn’t that simple: the Heart was hidden in a quantum cage, the keys to which are kept by the ancient giants, the Sirens. Experience the unexpected thrills of this action rogue-like!

Does the elapsed time affect the difficulty like in risk of rain? It was the only thing I really didn't like about that game

option to turn on auto fire for main weapon no reason to never not be firing it with no cooldown or ammo ?
You can't sprint if you're firing
@@Wintercide It's pretty easy to make the game just stop firing when you're sprinting and then continue to fire when you're not.
I liked the art and enemy design but thats it.

Looks like some tried to make their own version of risk of rain. And really didn't try to diversify design of the creaters from ror almost whatsoever. Even the particle effects. Kinda sad really. The end of the day though. Was it actually fun?

i like how every channel that used to be about mechabellum completely abandoned it with the garbage unit card update. i havent like 150 hours played and only 1 after that patch. cant believe they refuse to drop it, it ruined the entire game.

It's Roguelike and not Rougelike. And I don't wanna be that guy but you can google this in 5 seconds.
Anyway, Rogue was a game which had all the defining features of a "Roguelike" as one would guess. Whether it was good or not I cannot say as it is a very old game but you probably don't get a whole genre named after you if you're a bad game.

@@fepethepenguin8287 I wouldn't go for it unless you've played more games of the type, like Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup or Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead. The game is done with ASCII characters as the art and is very different from most modern examples of the genre.
@@fepethepenguin8287 Roguelikes focus on the aspect of redoing runs and getting upgrades along the way. It's not about the actual gameplay. It can be delivered in a bunch of forms. Be it Vampire Survivor like or Hades Like or something in between.
There is also the term Roguelite which is often used to describe games that take inspiration from Rogue but don't copy it enough to be called a Roguelike. Very ambiguous term though.

Looks can be deceiving bud, play the game first & then refund after 2 hours if you still feel the same way.
Looks stale and completely meh. Probably better suited to mobile.
