Alternanthera reineckii ‘Mini’ is a medium category plant available in 1-2-Grow! Cups meaning they are guaranteed to be free from algae, snails, disease and pesticides. You also receive more stems when compared with regular pots. To get the best health and vibrant colours is does require moderate to strong lighting with CO2 injection. A nutrient-rich substrate and regular dosing of liquid fertiliser will also help maintain overall health.

Mine grows surprisingly well with no co2! I started with a small tissue culture and now have it in 3 tanks! 2 of the tanks it grows much more dense the other tank more leggy and less bright pink

Lower nitrates will result in thicker , denser and smaller leaves giving a much more aesthetic look

Mine graze on them all the time as well. I think they are eating at unhealthy rate as lots of leaves are left only at half. Is there a way to keep both?

Hello! Caridina multidentata (Amano Shrimp) eating Alternatera???

I have something eating my plants and wondering if it’s Amano shrimp as well. Taking large chunks out of healthy leaves, could be SAE’s but never caught them in the act.

@@k9feces And now we asked ourselves this question with Dmitry Popov and everyone's experience is important to us. It is believed that there are two types of Amano. The first spoils the plants, the second doesn't. Personally, I have doubts that the great Takashi Amano would recommend shrimp that spoil plants.

Beware of uprooting this plant, as its root structure is massive.
