I do, with the recent update on plane flight model changes, I run wing booster on everything except a4 Skyhawks now. The update really makes it hard to break your wings unless you're being very careless at high speed and using a lot of yaw.
The j7e is a double delta wing in comparison to the j7d which is just a regular mig 21. The double delta wing of the j7e makes it more maneuverable and have a higher energy retention, making it a better dogfighter. But should you want it, the j7d premium, can carry magic missiles instead of the pl5bs which are more maneuverable but lower range. Hope this helps o7
I dont get how a missile with a max speed of 2,5mach can be longer range than a magic with a max speed of match 3 if the missiles fly in a straight line that magic or pl7 has to be far longer range unless its just blow up by itself
@@Antal46 the problem with the magic is that it loses speed very fast, so even though it has very high speed that mach value is in the most optimal scenarios, meanwhile the pl5, has immense acceleration and maintains alot of energy so it can sustain a high speed for longer range.
Idk my test shows that the pl5b is better for close range as it has speed advantage until 3km over the Pl7 which catches up after that and goes harder for longer. (if they fly relatively starght) From maneuvering and g pulls they felt about the same, both flare hungry but maybe the magic is slightly better ignoring it under 1,5km. Bonus thing is that the pl7 can be slaved to radar lock so it can be launched without pulling the target to the middle circle. TLDR Pl5B is better for close range(1-3km) PL7 better for mid range(3-5km) both crap at long range (5km+)
@Antal46 true, I just feel like in my testing the pl7/magic if the target is moving at all it loses all of its speed almost immediately to try and pull into the target, yet the pl5 as said kinda maintains it's energy a bit more, but this can just be me
