@@Maypril1894 actually not really. In the past, Italy tends to internally select another artist for Eurovision separately from Sanremo. It was only in 2015 that it become consistent. And yes the internal selections and separate Eurovision natl finals happens a lot more

What an amazing songs! it's the strongest Sanremo's song batch in all the 21 century. This is my top 5:
1 - Angelina Mango 2 - Diodato 3 - Mahmood 4 - Ghali 5 - Clara

This is a really strong lineup of singers and i gotta listen to some songs in their full length to make up my mind which songs i like.

Has to be Irama for me, the man never misses.. yet Italy keeps underappreciating him. Still yet to place in the top 3 of San Remo despite having AMAZING songs in 2019, 2021 and 2022... Im prepared to be disappointed again but for me its easily the best song here

@@jesuslira5876 Hubo una época (sobretodo en los inicios y retomada en los 2000s) en donde hubo semifinales pero eso ya se eliminó, todos los que van lo hacen para ganar (sobretodo este año donde hay nivelazo)

EDIT : After listening to the songs fully, while I really like Angelina Mango, Annelisa HAS to be picked, what a bop that is! Anything but Mahmood tbh, not that his song is necessarily bad but I'm done seeing him at Eurovision, he's been there 2 times already in 5 five years, that would be his third... in such a strong selection, seeing Italy picking him again would be so disappointing, try other artists for the love of God!
Mahmood victory with Blanco was quite unnecessary, Tuta Gold is a way more contemporary hit with a proper hook. I wanted a better song from Annalisa ngl.
And picking a song for Eurovision is ultimately not the purpose of SanRemo. Although I don't think Mahmood is going to win this time, momentum is not on his side

Ok such a good level but *daddy Mahmood is slaying once again in SanRemo festival*
he is on another level but I'm done seeing him winning, he already won 2 times, it's the turn of a woman: this year they really deserve a lot. I think the juries at least will definetly point on a female. Mahmood already had his moment, although I love him

@@heppolo Annalisa just needs to have a better choreography and it will be perfect. Angelina is super but the song isn't enough. But Annalisa is just perfect, the song and everything else is nice. In Sanremo it's difficult to have a decent choreography because the stage is very small
@@Sara-fd3dd I feel like her recent singles have way stronger melody and hooks, this is like a weaker follow-up to "Mon Amour" and "Euforia", something isn't clicking. This looks like maybe a lower top 10 (7th-10th) at Eurovision but not more.
@@heppolo Honestly this is way better than Mon Amour, Mon Amour didn't make any sense and was just a stupid dance song. This one is hypnotic and nice. But I feel too it wouldn't place high at Eurovision, but it doesn't matter. Mahmood already had his chance two times, we are 60 million and can't always bring the same artist

@@glamm_ann it's very samey, the producers of the songs are all the same 3 or 4 people and 70% of the songs are these four on the floor, dance basic songs. It seems most artists had the intention of making a song that could easily go viral on tiktok
