Your review is exactly what I thought when I played the first one. Too many other things going on that I can't relax and just enjoy the dinos.
Nice review! A friend bought me this for my birthday, but I've been waiting to upgrade my PC before getting into it (GTX 970 finally met its match). I really got a ton of enjoyment out of the first game, and even though a lot of people complained about how simplistic it was, that was something I enjoyed most about it, since it gave you time to take a moment and enjoy watching the fantastic dinosaurs. Great for casual park management fans who don't enjoy the super-complexity of games like Planet Zoo. I'm hoping they didn't ruin that aspect of the game for this sequel.
I am only interested because it looks like the Pteranodons and the Pterosaurs play a bigger role. But i cannot stand all the micro managing, i just to have my own little avery. But no i have unlock so much stuff by the time i unlock the Pterosaurs i will be burnt up on the game.

Still debating buying it coz i bought the first one and then right after they annouced the second and shortly after, it came out. I'm holding off coz I'm thinking if i wait enough I'll get the 3rd as it drops (if there is gonna be one), and if not that then atleast I'm extending the life of the second for the people that arr playing it.

I did the same thing. And man am I glad I got the ultimate game pass instead. I have been buying games on steam and most of them I love and have kept. As I usually watch the gameplays first before buying. I did watch an early access playthrough of Jurassic 2 and loved it and wanted to buy it immediately as I was also a big fan of the original and the first Jurassic Park builders from 10-15 years ago, but I saw the price tag. Figured I would wait awhile for a sale or something else. Then when I got the ultimate game pass, I realized J2 was on game pass. I'm really disappointed in the game as a whole, and it did not take me long to realize it was a micromanagement carbon copy disaster of the first disguised as something wonderful or better than the first one. I highly recommend not paying for this game until all the dlc's and fixes have been finalized.
