I only started playing in Season 3, so I don't know how much has changed about it over the last 7-8 months, but I love the Uzi. Overall it might not be top tier, but between its mobility and its moderately low recoil (which is completely manageable), this thing is a beast. I'm working on it right now as my second golden SMG, and it's been an absolute phenom, especially during Shipment 24/7 weeks. Hell, even knocking out the No Attachment kills for the Reptile camos was a breeze. Cannot recommend the Uzi enough.
Hey Ace, I love your videos and your scientific approach to your gun/attachment guides. I'm super curious about the marksman rifles and was hoping you could make your next gun guide on one!
I'm amazed no one disproved the open bolt delay myth for over two months, but thank you for finally putting that topic to rest! I do love that the audio team put that in, especially when it doesn't affect gameplay, it's really neat. All in all, the Uzi definitely looks to be a pretty solid gun. The slow rate of fire and slow sprintout time, couple with crazy fast ADS and low recoil absolutely make it a gun that's best used by proactive players, rather than people running around trying to play reactively, and that's partly why I love it.
I actually love the Uzi. Once its leveled up a bit, with the right attachments its great. The ADS speed give you a leg up in any gun fight. on paper its dog shit, but has great potential. i also like the iron sights, which is rare so I dont have to waste ADS speed and a slot on an optic
@@stalinyourleader3846 i dont think its as deadly as mp5, but i just maxed its level today and it feels like a fun ride to hell, also customization looks cool
What I never hear/see people measuring in these gun stat videos is "view kick". And this gun has one of the least obstructive view kicks in the game, which I suspect is why some people say they love it and they don't know why. But even including that, hard to say it's better than the MP7.
@@rayretz362 I bet what he was getting frustrated with was actually the sprintout time, but still, he absolutely should have tested it. It's amazing that this myth wasn't disproven until three months after launch.
No not at all. Most people that bitch about it are people that went in with it once, got decimated by m4 boys and never used it again. I'm not that great with it either, I just gotta get used to it's odd handling.
I use it with no stock, shortest barrel, 50 round mags, compensator and stippled grip and knife as a secondary. I call it the "gangsta gangsta at the top of my list" class or the Tupac class, or sometimes even the San Andreas class
The Uzi is actually really good, it's only "bad" because every other SMG is borderline broken and OP, and it's harder to use than the rest of the SMG lineup. This thing is great to plink heads at range and up close, and it's so versatile and fun. It's just not "meta".
Yeah I totally agree with it being versatile and just overall fun to use. It also has virtually no recoil with the right attachments and I also think it really shines in the hands of people with good reflexes and the first to pull the trigger in a gunfight. With the .41 AE I feel like I can challenge more guns than what people might think.

I use this gun on smaller maps. You really need the attachments to make this gun really good. Also using the monolith suppressor is one of the quietest in the game.i think this gun is underrated but you really need the attachments and get those head shots.
Yeah, Driftor's bitching about it seems even worse now that it doesn't even exist. It's likely he was experiencing the slow sprintout time and thinking that was the open bolt delay, but still, if you're going to test stuff and make videos, this is something that really should have been proven/disproven like two months ago.
Reminder that the Uzi has the best hip fire spread in the game for what its worth, accurate out to decent range despite the low rof making it worse for the point blank hipfire scenarios which are most hipfire scenarios.
Yeah, I'm really surprised Ace didn't mention the Uzi's amazing hipfire whatsoever here. It's the only gun with usable hipfire past the third shot or so.
A lot of people are bashing the Uzi but when I used it I really liked it. What I did was give it attachments that gave it similar characteristics as Assault Rifles and played with it like it's an AR, it's really good like that. As for using it as an SMG, it's okay but not terrible.
The uzi being the worst SMG doesnt mean that its bad. Thats just a testament to how strong the SMG class in general is. I actually enjoyed using the uzi and only stopped using it after i got the bizon, which i feel outclasses the uzi in every way, which is saying something considering what the uzi is capable of stastically
Just finish all the skins today and uzi isn’t my first favorite anymore but the third favorite my favorite now is MP7 is the first PP19 bizon second but UZI still a good one for me (favorite SMGs)
Best Uzi class setup (have it gold) Tactical suppressor Stippled grip tape Commando foregrip 16.5 barrel Slight of hand (can replace with optic of your choice)
I think one of the reasons everyone hates this gun so much is because it's one of the smg's you unlock later in the game and by that time you've already unlocked so many attachments and eliminated The Recoil and i creased the damage ranged with a lot of the other smg's that as soon as you equip for the first just to try it out it feels horrible. And youre like screw it I'll just go back to the laser MP5
I don't know if you were doing this already, but you select the M19 as secondary for the shared ammo pool. When you add the fully loaded perk to the M19, you get even more ammo. With an Uzi + 40 round mag and M19 + fully loaded you spawn in with 342 rounds in reserve. Adding the 32 round magazine to the M19 & 50 round magazine to Uzi brings this up to 492 in reserve. I found that the fully loaded perk doesn't stack though, if you have it on the M19 then putting it also on the Uzi won't give you more ammo. Also this is probably a bug but if you use stopping power, your ammo disappears when you load SP, you go from 492 to 250 rounds in reserve. This works for other setups as well. Like if you use overkill with a M4 + 60 rounds and Aug with 5.56 drum + fully loaded, you start off with a whooping 720 rounds in reserve and 60 in each gun. FAL / EBR / M91 LMG also group together like that.
The Uzi isn't that bad if you're mobile. Usually running no stock on your gun makes the recoil untraceable at range, but the Uzi's recoil still isn't that bad at ranges you should be using it at.
This is my favorite smg. No one is talking about HOW ACCURATE the shots are on this thing! Seriously guys you barely need any attachments. If you have aim it’s a great all around weapon with the long barrel attachment. The problem everyone has with this and every other gun is that it isn’t an M4 XD.
Idk I like it because it isn’t a top tier gun. I don’t like using the same ol guns as everyone else. It’s a challenge but I thought it was pretty fun when I decided to use it.
I liked the uzi, especially after the .41ae Conv. And the carbine barrel came out for it as in game challenge unlockables. Im curious of the damage stats for the .41 rounds though
I just maxed the uzi in warzone. Light supressor, small barrell, no stock, mercenary grip, .41 ammo + stopping rounds. Easily killing 2 guys with 1 magazine
Being the snappiest of SMGs, I’d probably use it as a PDW secondary on GW with the stealth setup. The thing is change is the stock and grip attachments, which I’d replace for a laser and sleight of hand with a view to defending my perch by hip firing enemies up close when they come to flush me out.
Personally, i think this gun is underrated. Its definitely better than the striker, dragonov, ebr, 556, and a few other guns. the recoil is very controllable, mobility is amazing, and the reload is very fast too
I highly recommend getting used to hardcore if you are using a lower tier weapon such as the Uzi. HC makes leveling up easier and going for some of the more annoying camo sets.
Great work as always, Ace. Love these guides. Also, I have to show my appreciation for that image of Wyatt (an Aussie) wielding the AUG (Australian standard issue rifle). Not sure if you put that together or if it’s a promo image but nice attention to detail.
@@HankScorpio86 We call it the F.88 Austeyr (Australian Steyr) here it in Australia & in game looks nice with the long barrel, 30 round magazine (to bad it isn't 48 round) & donut sight. I wonder if Activision will ever add the EF.88 conversion into MW, It would look a bit weird, or an F.89.
This thing is fun to use with the stubby barrel and removed stock. Makes a fun snappy thing for hardcore. Wish we could actually modify this into a mini-uzi for the elevated firerate. Thing was my favorite not so serious weapon in mw2.
Part of me knew that the community was just biased about this gun. You can make the Uzi work if you're mobile. Even running no stock with the Uzi doesn't make the recoil untamable at ranges you should be using it at. I'm thinking the SA87 is the worst primary weapon at this point now. Nobody wants the downsides of both an AR (being painfully average) and an LMG (having poor handling and mobility).
Yep. The Uzi isn't nearly as bad as "the community" thinks, just like the M4/etc aren't nearly as overperforming as "the community" thinks. But that's how hivemind internet communities tend to end up.
@@BleedingUranium Nah the M4 is kind of a problem still. It doesn't have the best damage or TTK, but it has one of the best for an AR, while also being a laser beam with the right attachments even at long ranges. It's just way too easy to dominate with compared to... literally anything else honestly.
@@doggupops8448 Sure, the M4 (and Kilo, RAM, MP5) could likely use a bit more recoil, but it would only need to be a fairly subtle adjustment. They're not as insane as some of the posts you see around like to yell about.
Heck I'd say the Kilo and RAM really don't need any adjustments. Kilo's basically a worse M4 with slightly better attachment choices and the RAM has some actual trouble at long range at times. MP5's another story though. I don't think it's really overpowered since it kind of sucks at range but it's clearly the best SMG in the game. Weapon balance is just really bad in this game.
Not gonna lie, I think the Uzi did once actually have an open bolt delay before. With all of the stealth patches, I wouldn't be surprised if they realized this made the gun completely unreliable and took it out without a word. I remember this gun feeling so much worse before to the point of it being unusable.
Some Weapons earn their reputation in battle, Others are celebrated for their on-screen fame, To be known for both is rare thing indeed. The Uzi. An Israeli SMG that seems to turn up everywhere. So, what it made such a popular export? Why is it a weapon of choice for action films? And what sort of person wields it?
I started grinding the Uzi recently. My setup is add all the stuff that makes this gun faster. Short barrel, no stock, stippled grip, 5mw laser, sleight of hand. My class has marathon, ghost, tracker. My tac is 2 stims and my lethal is a molotov. My field upgrade is dead silent. When you get dead silent with this and use your 2 stims to help boost you across the map, you will surprise the fuck out of some unfortunate soul who thought you'd be another 30 feet away. It's so snappy, you'll be dominating cqb and competing in mid-range combat. Just remember, if a firefight gets drawn out, run around a corner. Go somewhere they won't expect because you will get there quicker than they think. Overall, this is my number three smg behind the mp7 and the mp5.
I think the uzi is underrated. It's a tough foe in close gun fight especially when you remove the stock. The mistake is adding attachments to it to improve the range. If you want to kill from a longer range use an assault or and marksman rifle. What since does it make to pick a smg when you're planning to do long range gun fighting?
The strength of the Uzi is the mobility. Strafe is super fast, TTK is okay, and ammo is usually no concern. Big issue is that it needs lots of attachments before it is competitive. IMO carbine barrel is a MUST or the bounce will screw you. I often use Monolithic too, but its not that necessary. Stock Ultralight or CQB. UL is better imo. Round off with Stippled and either an optic of your choice (zoom optics actually work okay too!) or SoH. You sacrifice some strength for the amazing mobility with this gun, but depending on your playstyle this may be worth a lot.
I think the Uzi is very underrated. I use it as a secondary on my sniper classes because i'm not a sweaty quick-scoper. I'm curious as to why so many people give it such a bad name. Statistically, it is superior in many categories (e.g. ADS speed and base recoil control) and a 2-3 shot kill at close range is fantastic. I'm curious as to where specifically this gun falls off for people and turns them away. I think it feels great. I'm aware that how it feels is qualitative and not quantitative but to me that's an important aspect on my success with a gun in a shooter. Easily one of my favorite, if not my favorite smg in this COD.
I want to say the primary concern for most people is the fact that its not a bullet-hose like the more popular SMGs, and since the meta is "MP5/7 or Bust" it turns people off it from the jump.
The weapon does have a delay. If you're on pc you can pull the trigger and hear the bolt from the weapon but if you time your sprint right (shoot button hear the sound and activate sprint) it cancels the bullet from coming out.
Yeah um just make a hipfire class. 5mw laser, merc foregrip, 60 round mag, no stock, mini barrel. Now you have the just about the fastest moving class and never have to aim down sight. Great for rushing super fun. Hold r2 and dont stop firing until you feel safe.

Uzi: So you have chosen... death.

Wheres the UZI lovers ❤️❤️
Solid strap
Dara Culhane I don’t get why it’s so hated on :(
@@noahchristian1354 Its TTK is painfully slow. Its main niche is its mobility. TTK don't mean much if the enemy can't hit you.
Noah Christian this makes so much sense. I strafe and kill people too easily with this gun
Dara Culhane I actually love this gun. I picked more people far away with this gun than any other Smgs
I don’t know if any one has said this before. I’m new to your channel and appreciate the info you provide. Happy 2020.
I have the highest k/d ,out of all my smgs, with the uzi. It’s underrated. Red dot makes it a headshot machine
I actually love the Uzi. Once its leveled up a bit, with the right attachments its great. The ADS speed give you a leg up in any gun fight. on paper its dog shit, but has great potential. i also like the iron sights, which is rare so I dont have to waste ADS speed and a slot on an optic
I really want to love the uzi, but the gun is just outgunned by any guns, makes me want to use mp7 & mp5
yea man people shit on the UZI so much but really with the right setup and aim its as deadly as the MP5
@@stalinyourleader3846 i dont think its as deadly as mp5, but i just maxed its level today and it feels like a fun ride to hell, also customization looks cool
I'd love to see an update on this weapon with Orion attachment. More damage and a lot better range.
I love it
The uzi just might be my favorite gun in the game and I love that ppl underestimate it it makes killing my enemies even more satisfying
My Best Uzi Setup:
*Puts Uzi in trashcan*
Benjamin van Lier 🤣🤣🤣
Need lil Uzi>>
Nah you just suck
Pete & Pete can he not make a joke about the uzi?
wow you suck dude, uzi is great
What I never hear/see people measuring in these gun stat videos is "view kick". And this gun has one of the least obstructive view kicks in the game, which I suspect is why some people say they love it and they don't know why. But even including that, hard to say it's better than the MP7.
View kick and muzzle flash amount
Ace: “Open bolt delay is only audio”
Driftor: *Shakes uncontrollably as one of his big complaints is falsified*
Placebos are a powerful thing
@@rayretz362 I bet what he was getting frustrated with was actually the sprintout time, but still, he absolutely should have tested it. It's amazing that this myth wasn't disproven until three months after launch.
@@BleedingUranium Well since they stressed how """"realistic"""" the game is, I don't blame people for not doing so
@@BleedingUranium I dont know if its a pc thing or not, but its the same as revolver.
The revolver has a delay right?
Is it weird that I actually like this gun a lot?
I like it too
My favorite gun, I have an airsoft of it it’s looks hella real
No not at all. Most people that bitch about it are people that went in with it once, got decimated by m4 boys and never used it again. I'm not that great with it either, I just gotta get used to it's odd handling.
it’s my favorite gun in this game
No, there's a few people who probably love the VLK rouge more
I use it with no stock, shortest barrel, 50 round mags, compensator and stippled grip and knife as a secondary. I call it the "gangsta gangsta at the top of my list" class or the Tupac class, or sometimes even the San Andreas class
I love the Uzi. I was horrible in this game before I found it. Since then, I've been killing it with the Uzi. Any gun with no recoil is a saviour.
Huh, it seems even though there are better options in just about every other category I still prefer and enjoy using the Uzi over everything else.
I really like the UZI as well, its a flat out laser and very deadly up close and its easy to pick people off at range with it, plus it ADS's very fast so i don't get why people complain so much about it with that insane ADS time
Getting this gun gold was painful. Especially when everyone in your lobby has a mp5 or 7 with a m4 just yeessshhh.
King Ryan17. Hardcore is the only way I have been able to stomach leveling this gun.
uzi is very easy compared to a lot of other guns
@@danielskrskr yeah but if the other player isn't terrible you will never win it never has the advantage even if you get 1st shot you can get turned on and killed not competitive.
That means they trash bruh
Uzi will teach you that positioning is powerful
Thank you for confirming that the Uzi can 3 shot, I'll be watching your gun guides instead of driftor's from now on
as much as I like driftor, his weapon guides are filled with wrong information
Driftor's guides are waaay more rushed, that's why some of the information is wrong. It's basically only meant to be used until Ace does a guide on the gun.
To be fair, it’s very likely it was stealth buffed mobility wise since Driftors vid on it.
At 1:09 in Drift0r's video he literally says shooting someone in the chest/torso area makes it a 3 shot kill. Pay more attention next time. It's literally your fault for thinking he got it wrong when he didn't. lol
@@raptroes holy shit I was 50 seconds in, I didn't get far in idk why he didn't just say that in the beginning, he said 33 damage and I was like that's bullshit 😂 thanks for letting me know but that doesn't change the fact that his stats are off some of the time. Watch his video on the PKM, then watch Ace's. You'll see what I mean.
Uzi is really fun to use imo. It’s one of my favorite weapons at the moment, even got it gold.
I use this gun on smaller maps. You really need the attachments to make this gun really good. Also using the monolith suppressor is one of the quietest in the game.i think this gun is underrated but you really need the attachments and get those head shots.
If you shoot for chest the recoil gets headshots like crazy
@@davidsalazar2077 mp7 has faster ttk but medium range the sideways recoil fucks me up. Uzi is strictly vertical
Finally someone with some logic, I was sick of drift0r crying about "the open bolt this" and "the open bolt that" in every gun guide.
Exactly
Drift0r is pretty anal about that since he "has fired real guns" It is getting annoying, nice to see Ace actually took the time to disprove that shit.
Tbh though I’ve heard the bolt go off in someone’s gun before it fired and it was a dead giveaway to his position next to me.
This gun is so good. heavily underrated. It is insane in how accurate it is especially at distance.
Yeah it's surprisingly accurate
Hey Xclusive, thanks for doing this series, it’s been very helpful in deciding what attachments to use in the gunsmith
This gun with the new .41 Ammo is absolutely incredible
Seems they compensated a lot to balance its strength because let's be honest, it can easily be OP AF
Tac laser + 16” barrel + the fast strafe speed makes this thing awesome. I run down the middle lane in shoot house and bust head glitches all day.
I’m upgrading all the skins (and the guns) and for long time I love UZI will be back to tell my opinion about it when I finish all the SMG
Just finish all the skins today and uzi isn’t my first favorite anymore but the third favorite my favorite now is MP7 is the first PP19 bizon second but UZI still a good one for me (favorite SMGs)
Really appreciate the time you put in , keep it up man! seriously it must take a crap tone of time to test all the attachments.
Wtf. Uzi is my favourite gun atm. I'm constantly top fragging with it. For me short ads time is everything and Uzi has it
Now it's my favourite SMG for medium range combat!! It reminds me the Austen in WWII!!
Best Uzi class setup (have it gold)
Tactical suppressor
Stippled grip tape
Commando foregrip
16.5 barrel
Slight of hand (can replace with optic of your choice)
Its 3 shot kill range should apply to all parts of the body
The Uzi is my favorite smg, and I grinded for Damascus so I got to try each out a good amount haha :)
I've had good games with the Uzi on Shoothouse. Haven't tried it on others, yet.
Mark McCracken don’t bother on other maps which are larger. They will all melt you at mid range.
Same
the fact that the combat knife has less mobility than a pistol
Longer tactical sprint time though
It’s the most satisfying gun in the game. The sound is soo incredible👌👌
Me: My k/d isn’t that bad
Uzi: hold my beer!
Im stuck using it to get Gold/Platinum for my SMG's fuck this gun man! MP7 FTW!
The Uzi has overall increased my KDR.
I apologise for the pain you had to go through using this
Levi Barnor its def not that bad
@@chrislopez5301 Yeah, as long as you stay in 3 shot range and utilize the godly mobility, you can put in work with it.
The Uzi isn't that bad if you're mobile. Usually running no stock on your gun makes the recoil untraceable at range, but the Uzi's recoil still isn't that bad at ranges you should be using it at.
@@chrislopez5301 it's reaaaaaally bad in core
This is my best smg lol
favorite gun in game for sure. i use a class that i don’t even need to aim with
This is my favorite smg. No one is talking about HOW ACCURATE the shots are on this thing! Seriously guys you barely need any attachments. If you have aim it’s a great all around weapon with the long barrel attachment.
The problem everyone has with this and every other gun is that it isn’t an M4 XD.
i personally hate how the sights are so jumpy and combined with the sounds it makes it feel like a plastic toy shooting bolts and screwdrivers
Haha I could see that. Still tho! 3/4 shots and they’re down.
Idk I like it because it isn’t a top tier gun. I don’t like using the same ol guns as everyone else. It’s a challenge but I thought it was pretty fun when I decided to use it.
I got 2 ass clapper 130’s with this thing. It’s better than I thought. It probably has the lowest amount of recoil in the game by far.
I’m the MP7 and Uzi away from getting platinum on SMGs but man is the Uzi really killing my motivation
David 1298 Hardcore man
The uzi now has AE rounds... please update
Its definitely better than the striker, dragonov, ebr, 556, and a few other guns.
the recoil is very controllable, mobility is amazing, and the reload is very fast too
So happy I’m just finish this gold.. one the worse times in cod for me
I highly recommend getting used to hardcore if you are using a lower tier weapon such as the Uzi. HC makes leveling up easier and going for some of the more annoying camo sets.
i think a cool buff they could give the uzi us removing the limb and torso modifiers and just having it a 3 shot anywhere
Great work as always, Ace. Love these guides.
Also, I have to show my appreciation for that image of Wyatt (an Aussie) wielding the AUG (Australian standard issue rifle). Not sure if you put that together or if it’s a promo image but nice attention to detail.
JScriv pretty sure he's used the same image since the beginning
Dallas Yes, I am aware Steyr is Austrian :) I believe Ireland also used or is still using the AUG as well
@@HankScorpio86 We call it the F.88 Austeyr (Australian Steyr) here it in Australia & in game looks nice with the long barrel, 30 round magazine (to bad it isn't 48 round) & donut sight.
I have used one when doing A.A.C they let you use it in semiautomatic in tier 1-3 & while tier 4 can use an F.89 Minimyer S.A.W in automatic with a 50 round belt.
They should give this thing a .45 ACP conversion to make it more useful.
Yup
Can you do one on the Kar98k please?
It feels like a black ops 4 gun. It's not completely useless but it's outshined by literally everything else.
I used this for the first time today and it’s a lot of fun. Not for most levels but man it’s was like having an automatic pistol lol
The Uzi is underrated
Thanks for the info. I thought that the smg had a faster fire rate and never knew the uzi was very mobile in MW.
Keep up the amazing work!
What about the.41 AE 32-Round Mag that increases your range and damage?
any updates to this with the .41 AE 32 Round mags?
Jeremy Holder yeah what’s with that did they remove the 50 round mag???
Not gonna lie, I think the Uzi did once actually have an open bolt delay before. With all of the stealth patches, I wouldn't be surprised if they realized this made the gun completely unreliable and took it out without a word. I remember this gun feeling so much worse before to the point of it being unusable.
Some Weapons earn their reputation in battle,
Others are celebrated for their on-screen fame,
To be known for both is rare thing indeed.
The Uzi. An Israeli SMG that seems to turn up everywhere.
So, what it made such a popular export?
Why is it a weapon of choice for action films?
And what sort of person wields it?
*low electronic bass*
So your a man of culture as well

At least put XBOXAhoy as the one who said it. Dont take it as your quote
I went 65-17 with the uzi. I love the gun. Just hated grinding the long shots.
You should cover the new conversion kit and new barrel!
Mk2 next? I want to know what the difference is in the 3 barrels they all have same buff and con
Ace out here preparing us for #WW3
My UZI Set-up:
- Mono Sup
- 16.5 Barrel
- No Stock
- 50 Round Mag
- Stippled Grip Tape
PS: The Uzi is surprisingly Strong and accurate imo.
Update needed. The Uzi now has an additional ammo attachment
and barrel
Can you do the FAL or the Famas next
The weapon does have a delay. If you're on pc you can pull the trigger and hear the bolt from the weapon but if you time your sprint right (shoot button hear the sound and activate sprint) it cancels the bullet from coming out.
I got a chopper Gunner with it like twice when I was unlocking everything so it's def not a bad gun if you adjust your playstyle
Yeah um just make a hipfire class. 5mw laser, merc foregrip, 60 round mag, no stock, mini barrel. Now you have the just about the fastest moving class and never have to aim down sight. Great for rushing super fun. Hold r2 and dont stop firing until you feel safe.
The ammo conversion makes the gun actually good
Itd be nice to see them put its sprint out time on par with its ads speed
