fsu's o-line should be significantly better in '24. Offense overall will be an upgrade over '23. Special teams is also better than '23 due to the insane speed on this team. Defense should be close to the '23 squad. I honestly believe fsu is even better this year

Right. And JT doesn't have half the arm DJU has. JT was not good in short yardage run game but DJU is. Nobody is somebody else, silly. We all have differences. Can they take advantage of what DJU does well like they took advantage of what JT did well? That is all that matters.

Me personally I’m worried about DJ being consistent and extending plays , worried big time about the wr group with all the unprovens and drops, also worried about the run support of the dbs and lbs . Not worried about the dline getting upfield but definitely worried about them keeping contain . Fuller might not want to but he has to add more zone coverage. We shall see

Not at all. Clearly you don'y know the roster. Benson had limitations. Not very good vision. He left tons of yards on the field. Very frustrating runner. The room is overall better. Norvell likes to use multiple rbs and the 3 main guys are better overall this year than last. Plus, the oline should be better. 3 starters return with upgrades at guard and better depth.

Most of those transfers were there multiple years. Plus, he really only has been there long enough for one class to be draft guys. That 1st class was the Covid class and FSU had sucked for years. He has now shown he can win. Recruiting will get better.
lol Wilson had 18 catches at ASU. Benson had 6 carries at Oregon. JT had 14 passing attempts at Louisville and played for FSU for 5 seasons. Verse and Fiske had to prove they could play against real comp. Jones played 4 years at FSU. Of course Norvell went with the transfer portal. Did you even see the roster he took over?
@@williamsnike452 Benson had been hurt. Fisk, Verse, Coleman were all fully developed. You don’t take from lower programs to p5 to be developed and hope you can maximize potential. Otherwise you would just play recruits. Either way, that’s not arguing the point. You think norvelle will be selling kids in development. Buds comment was “look at the players we put in the draft”. They were portal players…..so he’s gonna say what? “My recruits sucked, so I had to portal in guys, but you, your different, I won’t need to portal in a starter over you”

Look at Wilson at ASU, benson at Oregon, jones at ms state, Bethune, Fiske, Verse. None of them were developed. They had potential, but not developed.
Travis, Verse, Jones, Bethune, Wilson, Benson were all multi year guys. Some were more than 2. So 7 of the 10 were developed. Coleman was ready made. That's it really.
Jared Verse (1st round draft pick) Braden Fisk both taken from non P5 level and become the best defensive duo in the sport last year. Jordan Travis taken off of UL’s bench, seriously considered quitting football altogether or changing positions turned into a Heisman contender (finished in the top 5 of that vote with a broken leg), guys like Johnny Wilson and Trey Benson transferring out of their initial universities and no one wanted them, only to come to FSU and now are in the NFL. And that’s just to name a few.
Yeah sure, FSU can’t develop.
Also, last I checked all the players (including HS recruits) are bought - we can pay them now you know.

They went undefeated and then got told by a room of politicians and TV executives that their season didn't matter. That there was no purpose to them even playing. And then got told to go play in an even more meaningless bowl game with no chance of a championship. They had their futures riding on the upcoming draft with half of them were playing through injury.
I'd love to see what you'd have done in that situation. FSU should have just declined the bowl bid.
