People complaining of leading were referring to the muzzle, not the chamber where you are seeing it, which is normal. Lead building up at the muzzle is a potential problem. It is most likely the result of clamping pressure during the threading procedure.
I purchased my P322 11/24/2023. The first time I shot it I put about 300 rounds through it. With 5 different types of ammo. Rem Golden HPs, Rem Thunderbolts, CCI Stingers, Federal Auto match and Armscor HP. All worked with no issues. I did not see any barrel leading like I have seen in some videos. Since then I have fired another 400 rounds with no issues and no leading. Maybe they fixed the issue. It is often said not to buy a new model Sig anything until about a year later. It seems they don't always have all the bugs worked out when the release the product. For now it is working great.
Many that purchased after January have little if any buildup. It runs like a well oiled machine, no pun intended. Lol. Ps. Lots of tools paid to boot to trash its competition. My moto if I need answers to almost ANYTHING. THINK MONEY AND THE ANSWERS COME IN SHORT ORDER. GREAT, TO HEAR YOUR HAPPY....
Maybe some barrels are a manufacturing lot error in the first lots of production but consider this also, 20 rounds mags can also cause more heat then most 22's that have half it's capacity like 10 and under before mag change, double the heat possibly, also a pencil thin barrel. so adding more heat, more burnt powder, wax from bullet coatings and a pencil thin barrel the chances are that every shot rapid fire is increasing the heat having 21 rounds to get it much hotter, I think the gun isn't for rapid fire or designed to handle rapid fire, I have this gun and no problems but have been shooting browning buckmak 22s since 1985, Buckmarks can rapid fire and stay cool some what but a pencil thin barrel on the Sig 322 and Taurus TX 22 you could get them to hot, I don't rapid fire my 22s but once in a while, constant rapid fire on any 22 pistol is hard on more then just the barrel, the firing pin cycling so fast you can get more light strikes, this is because the timing cycle can't keep up with the speed of your finger, the spring needs time to snap forward the firing pin, although rapid fire may be fun it's unnecessary because 22s have hardly any recoil, you do a mag dump in defense you will hit the target so no need to practice run and gun mag dumps, focus on good A zone hits like double taps or head shots. Another thing is the crown of barrel doesn't have a 11 degree crown but has been kept a straight crown for the suppressor adaptor, that's why you will notice a sharp crown with no angle, it's so that adaptor and suppressor don't have a angle gap when connecting it to barrel Wich would effect accuracy from bullets passing over gap. Heat will also give your mags issues doing rapid fire or guys tossing mags on the ground after reloads, you can still do your drill on sand and rocks but put something down like a used blanket or bed sheet. Heat, friction, carbon build up, lack of lube including feed ramp give 22s issues, you have more rounds you can fire then you 9 mm thus they get more dirty and need lube sooner and they need cool down time, 20 rounds rapid fire is more heat and friction meaning more problems, it's a fun plinker but needs to stay cool, lubed and cleaned even after a box of 100 CCI standard or mini mags
Well now this is a interesting video and a interesting topic. I do realize that there are some sig P 322 owners out there that has experience leading issues. However even though my sig p322 is a early model and that I have fired over 6,000 rounds through it I have never had a leading issue. Most of my rounds have been non-coated and it still doesn't seem to make any difference.

I bought mine in Sept. 2024 I have this exact problem going on now. First time shooting it was a complete disaster, couldn't get through 20 rounds - Winchester .22lr. Opened up a case with Sig today to send to them for testing.
I put 200 rounds of Winchester Wildcat and 325 rounds of Federal auto match all lead bullets today. No problems until about 500 rounds. I also shot cci mini mags. It seems to like those the best. Just cleaned it. Ballistol, a bore brush and a few patches through it cleaned it up good.
Barrel leading is a very real thing on early models. I had one and verified the issue didn’t even bother with Sig since they were not fixing it anyway. Cleaned it and took a loss trading it for a P17. The later is a much better value

Just got mine 2 weeks ago and also bought a box of Winchester 22lr with it. Shot about 100 rounds that day and at first it was shooting very accurately. The more i shot the worse it seemed to get. Looked at the barrel and definitely had leading of the barrel, mine was mostly at the muzzle of the barrel. Cleaned it up and shot another hundred rounds of blazers and they worked extremely good and accurate. Shot some thunderbolts and didn't seem to be to bad but not as good as blazers. Love the gun so far just need to find the right bullet for the gun.
I get stovepipes on last cartridge in the mags. The mag follower is a bit lower than the feed ramp. After 4,500 rounds, the ejector block springs needed cleaning by my gunsmith.
The cuts in the chamber are fluting for more reliable extraction. We would use a special single point tool, and run the turret into the chamber on the Z axis to make straight cuts. We also had no reliable way of measuring the depth of the cuts, so consistency was out the window.

Interesting video. I personally haven't purchased this firearm however I have it on my list. As a certified gunsmith I do have to say that you should always keep live ammunition away from your work area to include your workbench. (Unless you are having to mortar a stuck round or something) which should be left to the professionals anyways. This is just a matter of safety and it's a good rule of thumb. Other than that, excellent video and great demonstration!
Agreed. The ammo was used for the discussion and to illustrate the "why" and you notice it was them removed once the work commenced. But yes I agree. Thanks for watching!
Chamber extraction fluting seemed a bit rough. May want to chase polish lands with a slug, will let you feel inconsistencies and diameter variations. Or theres always fire lapping with copper washed or the harder punch ammo. Some barrels benefit from that. I've slug polished a taurus 45 rifle that leaded at a pinch point. Ive also rebarreled a 22 that someone long ago tried the vinegar peroxide trick on and destroyed the rifling. So dont do that if possible.
