    This was clutch, a simple side by side comparison and I figured out what I was wondering! Ordered some steeda lowering spring sport progressive sets for non factory magneride. Can’t wait to slap em on!

    Easiest way to tell is when you go check your my mode you have that suspension icon and it will change whenever you changes your mode from normal to track mode. Cheers

    I have MagneRide on my 2018 GT Premium PP1 and it is amazing! Can never live without it! I also have Steeda Progressive lowering springs and the 2 work amazing together! We just bought a 2017 Shelby GT350 to replace hubby's 2015 GT, and he really notices the difference with MagneRide! Hopefully it will be on the Mach 1, that is the next one I am looking at getting, I just have not decided on what color!

      @@cajunqueen1971 I traded in my 18Gt base model today for an 18 350. Gets delivered Friday morning. First Magneride car for me. Do you plan on lowering your new 19? If so, which springs do you recommend or plan on going with? Love everything about the car except that wheel gap. Had Eibach pro springs on my base GT with a staggered 20inch set up. I’m gonna miss her. I’m sure not for long.🤙🏾

      @@keonilew8568 You will miss her, but you will get over it quick! The best lowering springs are the Steeda dual rate lowering springs, go on their YT channel, they just did a video about them, and they work on the 350 with magneride. I have not lowered mine yet, I will, it has just been a yucky winter. My husband has a 17 GT350, we have not lowered his either, but this spring we will get to it. I had Steeda progressive lowering springs on my 18 GT, I loved them, but these dual rates are suppose to be even better. It lowers the car a half inch all the way around. Ford Performance makes a spring for the 350 that lowers it 3/4 of an inch, but the reviews are blah on those springs. Good luck with your 350, they are amazing cars, just so much fun to drive!

    In typical Ford fashion, the website and multiple brochures have an error that make it sound like the Mach 1 only has magneride on the rear suspension. It is even in the booklet that comes with the Mach 1 owners kit.

    Great video. Off topic, I can't believe Ford still thinks the Mustang GT with that wheel/tire combo is a great idea. Seriously, 460 hp (under-rated) sent to crappy 235/50R18 A/S tires. Surprised there hasn't been a class action lawsuit about THAT. 😏

    What about the 'Shock' icon on the Digital Dash that tells you which MODE you MAG RIDE SHOCK is in?
    Granted. My '19 Bullitt mag ride equipped car did not hav this "shock looking icon"... ...telling me which ride mode Im in, along w/the other 3 icons on that particular screen, showing stuff like active exh setting, steering setting, ect ..
    Until I got it bk from the dealership after they did some non suspension wrk to our car. They said they did NO UPDATES to my computer or software. Yet I didn't hav this Mag Ride Icon until I got car bk from dealership. Saw it immediately before I was out of dealer parking lot.
    I posed nearly this EXACT QUESTION in another steeda video which I posted this question of the icon..
    in 1 of your older videos, just recently.
    Anyway. Am I the only Mag ride car owner w/an icon on my Bullitt dash telling me which mode my shocks are in? Cuz it seems to be an update. Not something from Ford at timevof production.
    Didnt hav this until the dealership "didnt do anything to my Puter".. yet I drove away w/a new icon I never had previously, thats showing picture of a shock & coil spring & says mode.
    In Lower left. Lower right of the 4 icons is my active exh icon.
    Anyone else know what Im speaking to here.?
    My car was built in Feb. '19. Didnt get this icon till it left dealership after some warranty wrk in Sept. of '20.
    So clearly it seemed like its like a patch or update to the system? Im asking who also might hav some similar experienced like this?
    Thx.

      I have a 2020 Bullitt and I don’t see any icon for the suspension or exhaust.
      Also my car doesn’t handle very well. The rear suspension seems very unsettled in high speed corners. Hell my old sold axle 2005 Mustang handled better. Something is just not right with this car. I’ve only had it for 5 months, it only had 5 miles on it when I took it off the dealers showroom floor. Now has 1600 miles on it but really hate the handling. I’ve driven other Mustangs with the pp1 and pp2 handling packages and was impressed so what’s the problem with my Bullitt?

    Can you add magna ride to a PP1?

    • @steedaautosports
      @steedaautosports  3 роки тому +1

      I suppose you could, but it would be quite expensive to do so. I haven't heard of anyone actually adding MagneRide to a non-MagneRide car. Your best bang-for-buck option would be to add a set of Steeda Pro-Actions which give you the adjustability of MagneRide without running the wiring hardness, control module, etc. Hope this helps! -Chris

      It has indeed been a poor roll out from Ford. I'm not sure WHY they have not advertised and promoted MagneRide more. Maybe a shortage of parts available? I still have to explain what it is to most people. Even Ford salespeople are confused. I had one at a dealership tell me a car had MagneRide, because it had some "Performance Package" on it. In fact the car did NOT have MagneRide. Its no wonder that owners have NO idea if they have it or not. If someone is going to buy a car off the lot regardless, why tell them about it? They will never know the difference anyway. I had to look hard into what was on my 2016 Mustang ecoboost to find out it comes with active grill shutters. I'm pretty sure not a lot of people know their cars have them either. Ford "Active Grille Shutters are special shutters in the grill that are opened and closed automatically to reduce aerodynamic drag while still allowing for proper cooling. The Active Grille Shutters are available on several of Ford's models, including the C-MAX, Escape, Focus, Fusion, and Taurus." Even this article ABOUT MagneRide leaves out that the Ecoboost Mustang comes with them as well. And always has.

    Real drivers don't need a computers assistance.

    • @Orcinus1967
      @Orcinus1967 3 роки тому

      Do "real" drivers need shock absorbers? Its an adjustable shock, which is computer aided. Fuel injection and MAF sensors are computer aided. Should we all go back to tuning our cars on Friday night? Cars are an antique design, but they have benefitted immensely from technology over the last 50 years. Should we ignore technology that enhances performance merely for the want of being a "real" driver? (Whatever that means) Such an elitist attitude can only dissuade nascent driving enthusiasts. I grew up driving "computerless" cars. Among them a 1971 Cutlass. I NEVER want something like Blind Spot Monitoring to control my car over my wishes. I am more than happy to accept this INSIDE THE CAR, WHILE DRIVING, FACTORY INSTALLED UNDER WARRANTY, ability to modify the suspension, option, as a boon. It is silly to refute this ability because "real" drivers don't need computers. THe GT350 is not such a hot car without it.
