when you compare used to new bike the used is always a better deal. That is true for any model

I wasn’t comparing price, I was comparing the model and its comparative cost with respect to what it represents as a model.

@@RRGS78 yes, the R12S is expensive for what it is. But is a hommage and for sure people are willing to pay the premium to have it. The R12 9/T is also expensive

True, I think people who will buy it (and there won’t be many) are ones that don’t know or particularly care about where it comes from and are not bothered about how much better I’m terms of simpler engineered early R9ts were.
      Appreciate our comments!

Comparing used with new isn't ideal. The new R12 Nine T is a better bike than the old one in many ways (not the R12 which is a different bike). The S starts at £18460 but comes with a fair few options over the boggo Nine T. If you spec up a NineT to match you end up at £18050 minus the cowling. These numbers are somewhat irrelevant as the modern, new bike buyer is more interested in deposit amount interest rates and monthly payments. I'll be interested to know how the ergonomics compare as I love the NineT but Im still interested in this one. Cheers

you are 100% correct about the economics, and the new one is 'probably' a better bike, and how people buy bikes is different now....
I do feel that this bike deviates too much away from what it is trying to be, or perhaps thats what just what grumpy old (ish) people say.....
Either way would be great if you subscribed!

    Morning Ross,
Can you explain how swapping your 1300gs went financially to swap to your 900gs. Did you lose a lot of money in the deal?
Swmotech do some 900 stuff including rear rack

      Good Morning Sir,
Firstly thank you for your comment, it would be great if you would subscribe!
I think i did this in another video, but not sure, either way i got my ass handed to me a little bit.
I took the Akro can off and sold that, and i sold the crash bars, but still lost a couple of grand, but honestly, it was a price worth paying to get out of that bike.
Are you thinking of doing something similar?

      @ I am subscribed
I’m rejecting my 1300 after 11 months and 14k miles. I know it’s a lot. I love the bike and my gearbox was buttery smooth. Constant electrical problems, some real some of spurious
They’ve offered a new bike exactly the same £23k spec
BUT because of mileage and time want me to put £5k towards it
So in essence they are offering me £18k for mine in that exchange
The 900 is a lovely bike and very capable if you watch Adam Reiman’s review but not for 15k miles a year.

I honestly don’t miss the 1300 in the slightest. Have you just got the 1 bike?
      Whereabouts are you based btw?
