I actually preferred it over the SM57! I do have a few questions. What is the diameter of the suction cup? I saw on the website that the suction mini is 1". Can the mini be used in place of the standard Grip suction cup? On the grill of my accordion, due to the placement of the sound holes, the only place to mount a Grip Plus-6 so that both 6" goosenecks can reach the full range of the treble register is on a 1.25" wide area that runs the length of the bellows, so I'm assuming that the standard Grip suction cup is too large. I watched the video on how to remove the suction cup, so I'll probably just do that and use Velcro tape. But if the suction mini is able to replace the standard suction, and also able to hold the weight, then that will work, and for the bass extension I can clip it to the bottom of the arm strap. Thanks!
Thanks for the info and comparisons. I thought the K & K was close enough to the myers that with a bit of eq they could be pretty much equivalent, likewise for the SM57, I have players asking me about amplifying acoustic guitars - particularly classical and flamenco. I think I'll get one these myers to try out.
Wow Wow What a wonderful video! You’re a great player too❤ Question: How long do the batteries last? I just got the feather pick up today in the mail. I haven’t installed it in my Gibson RB 250 master tone. Just wondering how long being plugged in it would last question. Thank you very much for all your information.
Hello John, thanks for messaging us. The battery will last hundreds of hours. The battery is in use any time the pickup is plugged in through the 1/4" jack. So if you unplug it, then you will get the most life out of your pickup battery.
