Hello from southern Ontario! We are new to homeschooling this year and doing Tgab math 4 and K and language arts 3 and K along with GR. I do think TGaB is well worth it as it’s way more than what the system was teaching my children!!!

I used this level with the nature and Africa reader (not pet pals because they were not out yet) and it was such an amazing accomplishment to see my kid reading so well by the end of the course with me as his teacher ❤
Hey Gina, Happy Sunday. I love how you explain how you teach your kids lessons and how you don’t move onto the next concept until they mastered the one they were working on. ❤ I love how you reward your kids often and when they finish a lesson, that’s a good way to keep them Motivated. ❤ I feel like reading is a good way to teach school lessons as well because it teaches them how to read, kinesthetic skills, and helps them focus. ❤
Thank you for this. I wasn't sure if I wanted to use a curriculum. We're going to go with the good and the beautiful now. I was planning on building a curriculum holistically and that's what I'm going to do, but I know we'll need help with writing, reading and mathematics. ❤
I cant wait to get started my Kindergartners are finishing up the kindergarten prep. My kids keep asking when are we gonna do kindergarten lol. They're so ready too. 👌🏽❤️
Do you work with each child individually? I have a 5 and 3 year old and they distract each other sooo much. Potty, snack, running away to play. I was trying to do both at the same time but it just ends up being overwhelming for me. So I’ve started doing their lessons separately. Also your boys doing lessons together is so precious!! 🥹
Yeah my 3 year old cannot be present... I usually get her to do an activity and run to do a lesson 🙃 my oldest actually is a huge help... but the young ones definitely distract each other!
This one took a little longer but 20 mins is the sweet spot. If a lesson takes too long I actually stop and pick up the next day but usually 20 mins is a good average!
Maybe it was mentioned somewhere but Wondering ... for those that have done old n new versions if they found new one easier or harder. I have a friend who tried the new n found it to hard(re: new level K) I'm still working on older version n find them on the harder side for the average child already. Now just curious if new is even harder. To me looks easier in the sense that it's more organized 🤷🏻♀️
In my opinion it's easier then the old versions. I've done the old versions before and you are right! Much more organized! I really like the new edition and I feel like it's laid out much better and easier... has she tried the old edition?
@efehr5919 there could be a possibility that maybe she didn't do the placement test with her child? Just trying to think of possibilities! Sorry she feels this way!
Yes! We just finished level 2 of Jady A back in (March)🙌❤️ and now we are doing level 1 from TGTB ... I'm going to have a video explaining how we used it ... why we did etc!

I used also Jady A's level one of Elemental Phonics for prek.. but right now, I'm only using the level k of TGTB

How long are lessons normally? I’m using the curriculum for 2 grades and trying to figure out how to divide myself between 4 children ☺️
Level k language arts takes me about 15 mins to 20 mins max. Of course it depends on each child of course! Hope it all goes well ❤️❤️❤️
