Reverse record keeping has always been what worked for us 😄 We are 6 weeks in and already having to change our flow. We school in blocks due to our current season of life right now and chanhed the order in which we do our subjects. We get the heavier subjects out of the way in our first block when our mimds are sharper 😂 and the funner things in the 2nd block.

Also I struggle with history too you’re not alone!

I struggle with 3 kids too. So i hope you find this comforting. Tgatb has been a blessing so far but its still hard even having graduated 2 (the 3 to teach part) I find its grading my oldest (7 th) because i have to grade and then regrade when she fixes. So ts just a LOT of grading on top of grading and teaching. The 2 younger i grade right away Non homeschool question" how much snow do you get there? Hubby and i just went to Banff. Your country just has some absolutely gorgeous places 😍. Im a new watcher and i am really looking forward to seeing your new home when its completed. And soo enjoy watching everything so far. I just started watching but I started 4 day school and the 5th day is for extras. (Weekly readers, extra help in a subject, crafts, or unit studies). I am enjoying relaxing more on Fridays.

We are letting most of our TGTB go this year. Honestly, it was hard for me, but it just wasn't working anymore. Especially for my oldest. We started last when we dropped LA 4 and switched to EIW. We started the school year with Math 5 but are now switching as well. It's just too much and was causing too many tears and hate for math. We switched to Masterbook for math, which is a little too simple coming from TGTB, but it's been a break my kid needed. I really wish I could find something between the two for a perfect Math curriculum.

Our month has been good. We took this week off for a break and got ready and celebrated my daughter's 4th birthday. TGATB is going well, and my son seems to be liking it. He does say math is too easy. He's in kindergarten. My daughter likes preschool. We will start back up Monday and go for 5 or 6 weeks before taking a break again.

Public school parents ask why I homeschool. I say my son learns best when he's awake. They laugh and talk about their kids 5am wake up to catch the 6am bus to get to school by 7am and come home at 4pm with 5 hours of homework from seven classes - but at least they get time for friends. Then I laugh.

This is SO validating… my son did SO well with level 3 last year. Level 4 is a whole other beast that is leaving me to start looking for something else. We clash EVERY lesson which should be my indicator it’s not working. So bummed.

I would have ended the exam and left. No way. Doctors do not control my children and they don’t get to send them to school or make them change genders. Such a sick world we live in. And homeschooling is the problem!!???!! 😂

Stupid doctors. That sums it up. They practice medicine and sometimes give unnecessarily opinions for free. Sad but true. I’d move on in a hurry and find someone who supports you! 😊

I love love love the podcast idea! You could even have other home school moms on as guests virtually if they don’t live close by. I’d definitely listen! I’m a home schooling and full time working mama (thankfully I work from home 3 days a week!) and I’m always happy to find other home schooling moms to get their take on things!
