- Throughout the Tomodachi Daisakusen mode, Kacchan has gone through the city and befriended 36 animals and brought them to the Wada household. He says that he feels like the city's most famous character.
Then all of a sudden, Don-chan, Tetsuo, Hana-chan and Grandpa return home from Hawaii. Kacchan immediately complaints to everyone how mean it was for them to leave him behind at the airport. But, Hana-chan said that she had a feeling something was missing when they were traveling. It turns out they didn't even notice Kacchan wasn't there. That broke his heart. But like Don-chan says; he has a slim existence.
Grandpa then hears noises coming from the backyard, which turned out to be the animals Kacchan befriended.
He and Tetsuo, shocked at the unexpected discovery and at the fact that Kacchan wants them to live there, questions who's going to handle them, mentions that there are too many, and that animal food for all of them would be expensive.
But upon Tetsuo telling some of the animals where not to relieve themselves, he, Grandpa, Hana and Don-chan took one more look at them... And they immediately grew attached to them by their cuteness.
Kacchan actually did something great in the end, fulfilling his "Main Character" dream.

Actually it’s more of a Mario and Luigi situation with Kacchan always being the Luigi of every major Taiko story while Don-Chan is the Mario / star of the show.
