The enchanting voice of Lata Mangeshkar has produced some timeless classics, captivated the connoisseurs of music, has given lots of pleasure to the body, mind and soul, and enhanced our lives with nostalgia and sentimentality. I just cannot believe that the person who stamped her indelible imprint on me with her renditions has left this world. I wonder if there is any music lover who would not get this sentimental feeling. Lata Mangeshkar's death was to me like the clanging bell of a departing train. It was like the deep hoot of a ship leaving the shore. We are forced to reconcile to the idea that she is no more. Kiran saheb, aapka vichaar Lata Mangeshkar ke baarey bilkul sahii hai. The 50s 60s and 70s were the epitome of Bombay Motion Pictures, we will never again experience that era again. A few important factors played to create such several mahaan geniuses in the whole film industry during those 3 decade's. Firstly it was the partition and then the growth of the Industry when people flocked to Calcutta and then Bombay from all over the subcontinent to carve out a nische for them selves. During this time Hindu Mussalman kaa koii masala nahiin thaa, they all worked together in harmony even though just a few years before during migration in Punjab and Bengal at the cost of millions of atrocities. Agar voh events hahiin hothe voh daur hum nahiin aazmaathe. Jai Hind.
