Delta Squad definitely needed, plus so many hero troopers and Jedi are available. Plus could you imagine the epic campaigns you could pull between Armada and Legion in both eras, it would be like table top SW EAW FOC

It is clearly visable which games are the most wanted... and they still need to long getting new units done...
I think Disney also realised that people primarily want prequel era stuff as most of their young adult and teen audience grew up with the prequels or Clone Wars TV show. You can even see how they progressively included Clone Wars characters throughout the Rebels tv show because people just didn't give a fuck about the new characters or even the OT characters in the show
LegionaryWithAGladius it’s not even because of the clone wars, the new stuff isn’t as interesting/compelling. Disney doesn’t want to invest in characters that grow they want instant payoff. Look at Ashoka, most people didn’t like here when the clone wars came out, and then 5 seasons later she leaves and everyone is in tears.

Going to get this just to paint them and put them on the shelf. Don't really play the game but miniatures just look fun.
I've been waiting for clone wars for sooo long. Way more diversity in this era! Cant wait to see all the types of droids that come out. Particularly looking forwards to the B2s and magnaguard! Also very happy about the move to proper hard plastic.
I play 40k for some time now. But i'm gonna switch for Legion for the next few months, reason 1: $$$ Reason2: STAR WARS CLONE WARS! I hope there is gonna be ''mercenaries'' or something like that like the Gungan or the Geonosian...
Sébastien Rousseau I’m new to war gaming and I rushed into 40k and didn’t understand shit, I heard legions is better for newbies so I’m thinking of getting it. Is it any good though?
@@stormtrumper7634 I'd actually argue that 40K is better for new folk. Though Legions is much easisr on the wallet
to a certain extent legions is simpler as you get all the rules and stuff inside the model boxes whereas with WH40k especially nowadays you have to get like 3 books per army plus the main rulebook, but in terms of getting used to the game legion is probably easier at the very start but later on they're pretty much on par with each other.
That was so frigging good, I could've watched these guys play all day! I wasn't even planning on venturing into Clone Wars, but now I feel I HAVE to!

These guys are gonna be so easy to paint because clones are just white and droids just tan. Plus you can add whatever unit markings you want for either side.
Now we need...Clone Wars Era Armada Models. AND The Aggressor Class Star Destroyer from the Zann Consortium.
I hope the x-wing miniature game and the Star Wars Armada starts making the clone wars too.
Did they just say that they didn't have the technology to do hard plastic sprues for the first core box? GW has had that for 20 plus years. I wish they done hard plastic from the very begining!

That was great apart from one thing, how the heck can you allow a suppressed panicked unit to add its full fire effect when using supporting fire - it shouldn't be allowed at all.

Star Wars legion looks like fun, but I think there's too many tokens in the game, the board gets cluttered very quick

I don't at all understand the game mechanics but the diorama looks sick and would be great for posing action/lego figures
Will we be seeing the ability for customizable Jedi IE Homebrew Jedi generals for instance say I didn't want to use Obi-Wan or any named Jedi will there be a way for me to make a Jedi General customized to my clone army and have it added up to a point cost

I love civil war era, but I think clone wars fits better the wargame scene representing open war battles.

I'll be owning two copies since my older bro and i will be getting two Core Sets to split 50/50 (I own like 2k points of Rebels and Imperials, but neither of us really want to main them... just sorta own them as factions for people to use till they buy their own forces.)
Going to assemble one with 4 lightsabers, probably the classic 2 green, 2 blue, and going to assemble the other with 1 saber / 1 pistol.(I'll be running Separatists, I love how Droidekas and B1s look, and Cad Bane is my favorite character, who I assume will be the first or second Separatist Operative)
Really wish that the clone officers had the shoulder pauldrons. That would be a great way to set them apart

Actually the latest I've seen is beginning of the 4th Quarter unfortunately - but it sounds like it has been out of FFGs control, and they will get it out to us eager players ASAP :-)

I feel like the CIS are gonna be a little underwhelming. Especially since the b1’s have a white attack and defense dice.

Has your opinion changed with the new releases? Personally I like the idea of the swarms of b1s just getting absolutely shredded but they are complemented by stronger heroes, the (arguably) two best tanks in the game, the broken spider droid, and magnaguards.
Am I right in thinking that Obi Wan’s Soresu mastery still works against Droidekas as it doesn’t have the deflect keyword in the description, despite being mechanically deflect but also while being a guardian

I believe its from Galactic Warzones Battlefield In a Box - I got their tatooine terrain - really good.
When a Unite is hit, it gets a supersession. When a none robo unite is under supersession it gets cover 1. Does it stack with heavy cover?

Hello Zane. You do not have to paint them to play the game. Although some assembly is required to put the miniatures together.

How was the clone player able to spend an aim from a different unit to affect another? THe unit that had the aim didnt spend it in its own activation, then the unit behind was able to spend that unit's aim. I couldn't see a rule for this. Any ideas?
This is the special ability for the clone troopers army. Mentioned by the dev team you will be able to spend units tokens that aren't the activated unit as long as they are within 1 range.

I'm just sad to see that the clones are still using soft plastic, it's terrible for detail.
You guys have made legion so incredibly complicated, with all the dice and cards. Star Wars miniatures by wizards of the coast had much more simple and enjoyable rules/gameplay
FFG still using cards. May the errata reign. So glad I skipped this game. Leopards don't change their spots!
Josh Smith The game is now over a year old, and still has an almost perfect balance, far superior than any of the competitors. So yes, cards were the right decision. You just need to do it right.
@@FrozenFlesh lmao. Try Infinity mate. Balances more than 8 factions (not to mention all the sectorials) with a more intricate system. They also simply provide everything online so if there are changes no one is hosed... Most tourney organisers als allow proxies. FFG are a joke of a company. Got sucked into Armada and all the errata changes hosed the game. Get off cardboard and shoft to an online system. Then you can put more work into making the mins even better. Infinity miniatures have incredible sculpts and are a pleasure to paint.

@@EtienneLF agreed. I think the sw universe isnt all that great for minis games. Not enough factions to start. FFG know this make a game for 3 yrs then reboot rinse repeat. Infinity just keeps growing adding new factions so it doesn't canabilise it's own market.
@@omnitheus5442 Star wars galactic battlegrounds had a decent amount of factions, but making wookies, gungans, the naboo etc their own factions might not be a great idea when actually making models etc cus I don't imagine many people would play them compared to the current factions
