Freaking genius no idea how I didn't think of this lol. I've been trying to buy 10g in line fuse holder and only ebay n Amazon sells them, I didn't want to wait a few days or pay that much. THANKS!
Why I did not think of that? One thing that only cross in my mind was to solder directly the fuse which is to dumb to do... I really appreciate this hack and thank you for this 😊
Great idea and so much cheaper, not to mention you can control the gauge of wire that is feeding it whereas store bought fuse holders have specific gauge lead wires. Only question though is how to protect it, even if it's not fully waterproof...Large heat shrink - maybe 3/4 or 1" around the fuse and then heat it only enough to seal where the fuse meets the female disconnects? Feedback is appreciated! Thanks.
So simple, Yet so brilliant! 15A to the 200 Watt from rhe 12V when I get thos installed, Kudos will come you way again for saving me tons of time and money (J/k) I was going to find a cigarette lighter charger and rewire it and get the AGC 15A This is wayyyyy easier!
I'm going to construct my own fuse bypass switch... It looks like only one company makes them, and so they cost at about $60+. I bet I could construct the same for 1/3 the price. I already own electrical tape and a soldering iron.
besides, you can choose the wire thickness and the connector thickness. Sometimes they send you some really cheap wired fuse holder that would melt before the 30 Amps fuse you'd use in them!!
maxi fuser holder is 20 euros, tell me the price per gramme of fuseholder material. total theft! should be possible to do with shrink flex and then maybe a paper clip or similar crimped ontop of that
Can you use the inline fuses that you get from amazon on ac current. I was wondering if you put an inline fuse on the 24 volt side of a transformer can you use those inline fuses on amazon. The reason i am asking is that they state auto which is dc current.
Would this hold 72v 26amp power from a battery with a 30amp fuse using electrical blocks to connect everything together im looking to add a fuse line to the powerlead of a ebike battery for more safety rather blow a fuse than the whole battery ?
They make 90 degree spade terminals, to make a more streamlined holder. The bigger reason to do this might be the length if wire you need. Fuse holders are only 8" or 12" long. Irritatingly short.
Regular ATM fuse like in this link: www.amazon.com/Install-Bay-ATC5-25-Fuse-Pack/dp/B004WK50OA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1474048448&sr=8-2&keywords=5+amp+fuse
@@markrvp are you sure it's ATC like the link says because those have Flag shape prongs and videos of people using standard female spade connectors on Fuses have a straight terminal and they don't look like those in Link? Just trying to get the correct fuse size so I can make some inline fuses for my Jeeps electric fan adjustable thermostatic switch which turns on the fan when the thermo probe reads 210°F It's important I have a 25-30A

Thank you, this just saved a couple of bucks for me.
I was adding few LEDs to my car & wanted to have a fuse so that I don’t fry up things! 😅

You sir, are a freakin' genius.
Omg I been struggling to find larger in line fuse wire and U solve my problem. Easy solution right in front of me 😅. Tks dude

Fantastic video,Its amazing what is inside fancy looking gadgets,Not a lot ;) Thanks for posting.
Great idea. Thanks, you saved me a lot of time and trouble hunting down a simple fuse holder.
This is amazing. Great idea! Thank you!
Thank you!!!! This is exactly what I was looking for!
Thank you so much for posting just about to do this as store is closed and i wanted to get my airhorn fitted
this is genius. i have the cable and its a long one didnt want to add another cable with a fuse holder attached. cheers
I did this yesterday before searching in here and what I add is zip ties to keep the cables separate and in place so u can replace the fuse later.
I plan on encasing mine in hot glue. Makes it waterproof and insulated and it's easy to remove if I need to make a repair
What a brilliant idea!
Never thought of this. thanks
Glad i seen this video before making a trip to autozone or home depot thanks for the video brother
This is smart!!!! Hats off to you
Really neat, thanks. 🙂

Great job!!
Great video!
Thank you very much for that video.
Good idea my man. Got to love youtube.
Brilliant!
Good idea, did thought of that, what amperage fuse could I use for a car preamp equalizer?
I think making a fuse holder might be better since you can control the quality.
besides, you can choose the wire thickness and the connector thickness. Sometimes they send you some really cheap wired fuse holder that would melt before the 30 Amps fuse you'd use in them!!
And the length of wire!
Amazing!
nice idea.thanks for dharing
Thank you
You slick willy
Genius!!!
Good one thank you
Is it a 4.8 type spade connector?
thank youuu
Wonderful
Excellent idea, why didn't i think of it? Cuz im not as smart as you are :)

I'm sorry, I don't know :(

Daniel Nurden I don’t think these spade plugs/wires are beefy enough for that much voltage, but I don’t know.
Mark Rash i wouldnt use the spades but a 60 amp electrical block you connect the wire to both ends

Question is how do you connect it to the fuse box now?
This is for an inline fuse meaning it's placed directly into the positive cable
Where was this video when I was scrolling eBay for inline fuse holders
thank you
You are welcome :)
What size fuse are using? I tried mini fuse but those are too small to fit perfectly and keeps slipping.

It's important I have a 25-30A
How close to the battery should one put this
It doesn’t matter. I usually put it as close as I can where it’s easily accessible.
@@markrvp ok thanks
I love u wife 500
