This movie is an unbelievable masterpiece.
Unbelievable crap
@@lucylovic No, that would be Star Wars 12.
I was in Berlin briefly many years ago and I am so desperate to go back. Every time I rewatch this wonderful movie I get the ache to go back
This is the most beautiful movie of all time
rowland strutting around like the embodiment of cool. so electric and singular as a person and a guitarist. most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
Probably the most beautifully told tale of an angel who falls to Earth.
This is a goldmine of poetry...
Love the movie and the band. Masterpieces both.
wonderful to see everyone some here some gone. Just saw Peter Guchot taking his eyeglasses off. Miss you all
don't we all wish we were there ... right now!
I'm still imprinted by watching this film last night. It was so atmospheric. The characters, their internal dialogue is so personal. I found myself relating to many of them, for so many reasons. The cinematography was a quiet joy to behold. The way at first only the children could see The Angel, that was so charming & upheld a belief I have always had, about how perceptive children are. If I cannot find this gem on DVD, I will be very disappointed, as I could watch it in perpetuity. Most high praise to all who worked on this (to use a hackneyed phrase) cinematic masterpiece.
Crime and the City Solution was Rowland Howard. Miss him so much.
Is there anything more perfect in the world than this? I highly doubt it!
Epic Soundtracks on drums
I loved this film so much. Probably watched it a dozen times or more. Will have to add another viewing soon. It's been a while. Love this scene and the song.
how great does RHS look and play.
I love Berlin since this film.
❤️
Θεσσαλονικη 2013, ποσο μεσα μου εμεινε αυτη η ταινια, βλεπω και ξαναβλεπω στιγμες της σε μενα σε πραγματα που δεν θυμομουν οτι τις πηρα απο αυτη..
Solveig Dommartin. What a looker.
Rowland = coolest person who ever lived
The whole period and atmosphere is preserved under glass. The arse end of the ‘80s. Berlin was considered the capital of the darkest cool at the time...
5 years later I lived in Berlin... I never dreamt I would and... I did. Great time.
Beautiful
Berlin beore the wall fell, what a strange magic city and I was there!
Adiós Bruno querido...
Thank you! I thought nobody would notice...
amazing
RSH !
cool
'Seventy' instead of 'seventeen' would turn this song into a murder ballad....
Splendor
Rowland
❤
Utterly superb (and what a hot number she was)
Such an elegant scene. Also strange to hear Nick Cave's voice and be nowhere in sight.
That's because it's not Nick Cave singing
Funny that the guy in this film would later portray Faust and Hitler
Friedrich Faustus haha lol yes
It just means that Bruno Gaentz was a great actor.
Anyone knows if this club still exist?
Is that a real club at first place?
I read somewhere it was knocked down? I'm not sure tho, but I really had hoped it was still up. These places are great
It was called the Hotel Esplanade and is considered a historical monument. It wasn’t torn down when the Sony Center was built, but moved about 75meters. The Breakfast Hall which we see in the movie was dismantled and moved to another location.
I don’t know if it can be visited, though.
Who is the singer? AUSTRALIAN
zu der Zeit habe ich in Berlin GELEBT!!!!! ALSO SPRACH ZARATHUSTRA!...................
Handel ombra mai fu iui
Lynchian scene ...
why does he sound like nick cave
Because crime and the city solution was made up of ex birthday party members and other Australian rockers. They were all one big music collective in effect back in the late '80s, splitting their time between Melbourne and Berlin.
