Awesome content as always jim, GL on the PPF, Our shop is a one of very few proper Suntek install centre for PPF and i can tell you, its an extremely difficult art to perfect and takes ALOT of time and skill to get right. Its a real headache to get right but so satisfying once you do. Weve won many awards for what we do and still to do this day, i have cars in that is like starting all over again.
That is one sweet looking Porsche in that Lava Orange color. Especially after Jim takes it up to the ultimate level of pristine!

Ok so I tried out your technique of applying cartec 3000 and h6o1 to the same pad today at work and WOW game changer! Very low dust, great cut and good finish in one hit, this will be my new one stage combo. Cheers Jim 🙌
Excellent job Jim! That Porsche looks amazing. I always learn so much from your videos and the products you use. Recently switched over to the Cartec Refinish line of products from Sonax. Not cheap getting them sent to the States, but we’ll worth the money and the fantastic results they give you. Keep up the good work and good luck with your PPF training.
Great work as usual, I do have allow my cars from new wrapped and do have the paint work lightly polished just to make sure to surface is clear of as many markers as possible. Fortunately here in Oz Lexus pre prep their cars very well so this makes it easier to wrap or the finished wrap work is excellent. Well done again. 🇦🇺

We install ppf at work. A polished panel 100% will tack nicer imo than non polished. But that said, ppf will cover pretty much everything other than deep scratches. Good to see you getting in to ppf.

I've just watched the unveiling of the new Bugatti Mistral on the Shmee150 channel .... The swirl marks on the front of such a gorgeous 6 million dollar car were really making me twitch though ... 😲 . Unbelievable on a big unveiling . Definitely needed the White Details touch .

Not at all meant as critisism, but just kind of funny to see... You're really into the finest of details when it comes to cleaning cars... There is not a spot you're missing. Really excellent work. But then looking at how dirty/filthy the bigboi blower is, makes me kind of smile... 😅 But love your work and the quality of your videos are unreal.

You ever polished a car? If yes, you know the polisher gets full of dust from the compounds. Thats what is on the bigboi. Its not filthy as you are saying bud.

Car looks as if it’s had a wash with a pot scourer and I’ve never seen as much over spray? on what is a relatively new car. The paintwork on my new Macan was perfect, which after seeing the defects on other new cars on your channel, was a pleasant surprise. Even an 18 months old Boxster which I purchased second hand with 8000 kms wasn’t as bad as this RS. Your usual magic worked and the car is now in better condition than when it was in the selling dealer’s showroom although I believe a lot of the damage to a new car can be caused by poor pre sale preparation.

What brand is your 1 inch cordless polisher that you use? I went to your links page and it’s not there. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you! Also the car came out great! Outstanding job as usual
I suspect you have had a conversation with the ppf installer about a DAP ploter/ machine cutter so that its pretty cut making less waste/ cost. Also easier to install. I'd love to get into ppf installs. Also maybe invest in a HEPA filtration system- something mobile you can move around your workshop so that you can pull any contaminants out of the air. I've got a dehumidifier that has an air clean mode that uses a HEPA filter- they 100% work very well 👌. Looking forward to seeing some ppf installs
Good call on waiting to refine the paint. In my experience, any type of correction will make the surface SUPER tacky for PPF, so i do not polish any areas that will be PPF'd. They'll be masked by the film anyway. My process is wash, decon, PPF, then mask and polish. Just be careful with the edges of the newly installed film.

Is the cutting compound you apply on the lights the same as the body paint work.

I hope you remembered to double torque. A ton of porsches (idk about gt3rs for sure) require you torque then loosen and then torque to spec again. Those center lock nuts need the first round to align and center proper and then the final torque makes sure it’s fully to oem spec.

This is what he does at 35:00, you see him loosen the nut for a second, then retorque it.
I have the same car as this, with factory made ppf directly from porsche when I bought the car. You can see how usefull it is because I dont see any streaking or lines eith any kind of lights. Problem though is that I have absolutely no idea if I have to do anything to maintain the car, as i dont think that polishing or a ceramic coating is any use on the ppf. So I just hand wash it and then dry it. Do you have any advice please ? Thank you and a very nice video. I love watching 911 detailing videos.

The blue mini polisher is the Carbon Collective. Jim hasn’t used the iBrid in his videos in awhile

Jim, how do you dry the windows? After detailing my car the only I can get rid of the water is to constantly cycle the window up and down then dry with microfibre. Is there an easier way??

Looks like its been repainted a lot of dirt in that paint as well.
Its been used on track, and it was crashed badly and restored. Thats what it looks like atm
