- The first day of the King of the Baggers Invitational was a huge success with a dozen tricked-out Harley-Davidsons and Indians participating in three qualifying practice sessions and ridden by some topnotch talent. It was really something to see the bikes doing fast laps around WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Check it out for yourself.

1.37 around Laguna is fast and on a damn "performance bagger" is insane! lol
For a guy that has been pissed off at HD for years, I think this is cool AF !!!!
Just think what could be if HD had a passion for riding, racing & making money?
Answer,
BUELL!
Axed because Someone didn't want to pay for a hobby!
The draft off of these things is gonna be insane
Very cool. Takes me back to the early 70's, Cal Rayborn and Renzo Pasolini charging around Laguna Seca on factory H-D road racers. Now I'm an old fart with my own bagger. Love that sound.
Cal Rayborn gave up on air cooled push rod v twins back in 1968 and so should we.
Real racing,a whole new crowd at the races,Hope it happens in UK.
What makes this so entertaining in a silly/ridiculous kind of way is the apparent lack of a strict rules structure. It reminds me of the old Formula USA run whatcha brung series. THAT was awesome stuff.
I love this so much. Please take all of my monies! I just wish that they would do this with FXRs. Come on Harley, you are still kinda making the frames for them bring back a true slick FXR
Such a fun event that has me hooked! Liked and subbed 🤘
Love some bagger racing.
Another reason to upgrade my RG!
This sounds like a re-run from yesterday .. seems announcers are saying the same thing. Yup this is a RE-Run from Firday .. but the race is today Saturday 10-24-2020
Yep! I’m a Fan! #mcmf
I saw the Sportster racing series in the UK back in the 80's(?) But this beats it hands down, hope I can find the race on UA-cam somewhere ✊
@motoguzzi_americas a MGX-21 needs to be there next year!!
Life long dream to ride my Hog on a bunch of famous race tracks.
Cool
We need some of these bikes highlighted! What did they do to the engines and suspensions. Some of these bikes look like corporate speedster with bags and fairing bolted on.
Maybe you could buy those super cool parts from the sponsor... What a great and clinical way to market.
Indian is about to dominate ladies and gents.
Just got bagger all about this
Is the race live on the harley tv channel?
The race will be live on MotoAmerica Live+. motoamericaliveplus.com/viewplans
@bmwmotorrad where is the K1600B?! It supouse to be the fastest Bragger out there?!
Why not open the class to include BMW Honda Ducati Yamaha and Kawasaki ? They all make baggers 🤷🏻♀️ that would be more interesting
First off, this class has, according to the commentators, highly tweaked bikes costing $60K to $100k so it very limited and exclusive. Which then makes me assume that's the point, If they made it a super stock class and opened it to all manufacturers, most likely both these companies would fall by the wayside in heads up racing.
Technically the only other company actually making a bagger is Honda.. the others make a touring model of cruisers and dual sport models they currently offer.. these started as 1000lb monsters.. not built up to get here..
@@FluffyFerretFarm anything that comes with saddles bags should be a bagger and pretty much everyone makes one.
@@raynic1173 yes I agree... I see BMW R1200GS’s killing it in the mountains I would love to see one or two mixing it up with the Harley Davidson and Indian guys 🤷🏻♀️
Because Drag doesn't sell bagger parts for those manufacturers.
American Is good diference.
I'd be cranking it too much . , but eagles.,
Boy there sure a lot less post here today... I wonder what happened... Marketing is fun.
Вот это настоящие гонки! На рормальных мото, а то на пластмасовых блохах ездите, то не сщитается!
technologies doesn't fallow these bikes around.. no shit. still push rod engines from the 50;s
🤣
I bet if this became a regular thing, that would change quick.
@@CRGmotors they don't even have a race team. That pretty much tells me that they don't give a rat's ass
@@CRGmotors harley moto is refusing to change. just keep pumping out the same old crap but keep jacking up the price and making people think they are something special
@@jamesperreault4506 wouldn't surprise me if harley missed the boat on this... they will likely be the last to change... BUT Indian was impressive, and the aftermarket built harleys were good. My hope is if the race series itself becomes popular, it can force change in all of the manufacturers toward getting better. Personally I'd love to see suzuki, honda, kawasaki, and yamaha out there kicking ass too... bring back the Vulcan 2000 and imagine a factory race built Yamaha Eluder in there with the harleys and Indians... bring back the race on Sunday, sell on Monday logic to their product development. Maybe it will stop harley from being so lazy!
Harley could do themselves a solid by spending the money used to lobby this joke of a race to develop an actual modern race bike.
I've said the same thing for years. They put soo much $ in promoting their brand and not their quality. Shows how much they don't care about the customer.
Personally I find it sad to see America's top racers racng heavy cruisers. It's like a bad dream.
Remember when the Daytona 200 was an important race.
We have stuff like this to thank for that.
How pissed is BMW seeing their sponsored suit on a Harley Davidson.. lol
