I watched this video part way through, and immediately went out and changed my 1998 Toyota Corolla Blower Motor. Took me 30-45 mins,
but I was cleaning stuff, taking pics and also replacing my broken interior door handle at the same time. This video helped me figure out
how to remove the glove box, so I could get to the blower motor. Thank you for that. I did not have a clip removal tool, but managed to still
get everything apart and back together without breaking any clips.

So glad to see it don't require to remove the entire dash. I have a 2000 Corolla and the blower is bout to go out. Looks like a simple 20 min job

Great video. My Prizm blower was full of pine needles and debris. I guess I also need to find where the filter is that should be keeping that stuff out. Took me just a half hour to get it all cleaned out and re-installed. Thanks a lot!!

No cabin air fillter but you can take off the webbing under the wipers to access the air intake and clean it and can even cut a filter to fit in there. 3m 4 inch cut to size

Great video, just helped me change the fan on a 2001 Corolla. Turns out there was a factory-included pry bar in the glove box for prying the various panels apart to get at the screws and bolts.

The blower on my 2001 Prizm started making a noise like a Harley Davidson motorcycle. I followed your instructions to remove the blower and found a gas station receipt had gotten into the system and was stuck against it. I'm sure a dealer would have charged me a few hundred bucks to do this repair. Thanks!

I noticed you had a decent handle on that nut driver, the ones i used to get in cheap sets of sockets were yellow transparant ones, so easy to snap.
But the pocket didnt stretch for quality ones so...
My mate turned one of my broken ones into a "T" bar type, much much better :-)
Smashing tutorial, and the prize was so new looking as well :-))

Just remember the A/C system is one of the things that is different on a prism from a corolla!! The prism uses a GM system and toyota uses their own!!

I would like you to do a S-SERIES NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH REMOVAL video. I know you go down to the salvage yards. So finding an automatic should not be difficult. Plus, please do a S-SERIES BTSI REMOVAL video…since you’re there with an automatic. I’m sure it wouldn’t take long at all. Thanks. If anyone can do this, Richpin Videos can. And I always click on the Google ads…

So I removed mine and bought a new one, I'm hoping that this was my problem. Last winter the heater was making SO much noise but the heat would still work, than one day I smelt burnt plastic and it stopped working completely. When I took the blower motor out there was loose metal and the plastic was all messed up.

Mine only makes noise in cold weather, It last about 15 minutes or until the cabin is warmed

Remove the glove box and right behind it you will see the blower motor assembly the filter is on the top of it and you remove the access panel to it by pushing on the two side clip of it. Shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes to swap the filter out.

    • @kmook76
      @kmook76 2 роки тому

@@skitzojedi2505 Unless you add one yourself. I've seen a mod where they cut a 3m 4 inch merv 12 filter to size and put in the AC intake which is under the wiper blades webbing .
