    Out of numerous people that I have looked at the websites on how to install Euro drawer slides, yours is the only one that provided the actual information that I needed. Thank you very much for your video ma’am.

    Great video Ana. I noticed you mention that the cabinet had to be leveled before attempting to level the drawer track for the slides. Many woodworkers fail to mention that very important step. I took wood shop in high school, but never really had a lot of time to work in what I’ve always loved. Now that I’m retired I have more time in my hands to do so. Thanks again.

    Nice job Ana, drilling in the middle of the ovals like you said is key to leave room for adjustments. For the drawer fronts I recommend marking and drilling where the handles will go, screw in the drawer front in those holes, pull out the drawer and permanently secure the front, and lastly remove the temp screws where the handle goes and install the screws for the handle.

    I love it that you use such simple and basic tools like Ryobi - of which I have a full collection of. And this shows my point: that you don't need expensive tools to make nice respectable and fully functioning furniture and artwork. Im more a guy of using the knowledge and know-how when designing and making stuff - NOT the totally expensive top quality workman tools that they try to have us buy. Thx Ana

      It's absolutey accessible to build your own furniture for a fraction of the cost and get exactly what you want! Yes, up front there is a need to invest in tools, but totally affordable. Thanks for the visit!

    I can think of a couple extra advantages of those slides. They are not greasy. With the full extension ones it is easy to get grease on your hands or even clothes, if you brush against them when open. They also attract dust in the grease. The other advantage of the Euro slides is that you can easily remove the drawer by just lifting and tilting, and less fiddly to replace than full extension slides. I keep lesser used items at the back of the drawer. One thing to be careful with is when making the drawers is to allow enough room for lifting the rear roller over the hump when inserting or removing the drawer.

    Hey there great video ! just a small hint , instead of Brad nailing the drawer face to the drawer try double sided 1/8th foam tape to hold the face while you drill pilot holes to screw face to drawer . Keep up the good work. Could you please talk about how to space drawer slides for proper spacing with multiple drawers. thanks

    That was a very informative video. Thank you so much. I'm installing drawers soon and this was perfect. On another note, I hope you don't mind if I comment about having loose hair around power tools. I think it might be a good idea to tie them back. I'm sure you're really careful, but it's better to model good practices as we often overlook how dangerous it is to get your hair stuck in a mechanical tool.

    This made the most sense of the multiple videos I watched for installing this type of slide, but I've still not found a solution to my particular issue. I have a nightstand with center metal slides (Rite-Trak, I think?). I can't use the bottom drawer because it doesn't pull out far enough from the upper drawer decorative overhang. I'm wondering if these euro slides will be a suitable replacement. There's 3/4" clearance on either side of the drawer box in relation to the face frame opening. Can I install some shims or "extenders" to make them fit? I'd be grateful for any suggestions. :)

    • @AnaWhiteDIY
      @AnaWhiteDIY  9 місяців тому

      Thank you! I’m glad I could help!
      One thought is these slides only pull out 3/4 of the way, so it may not fix your issue.
      A full extension slide might be a better option
      1/4” plywood or wood shims can definitely be used to take down the gap to the 1/2” needed
      Hope this helps!

    Draw slides are expensive in Canada. Cheapest is 20 per slide. And you need 2 for a drawer. Do you have another alternative to use or making a type of slide with wood? I have seen them but they make it complicated. You have a way of simplifying woodworking.😊

      I love the dresser in this video and it is so close to being what I need except it is too tall (51 1/2 and I need closer to 36 inches tall) and I would like it deeper than 17 1/2 inches, I was wondering if you have a video on how to make changes to a plan or is that even possible? Would I be able to do that on shelfhelpnow ?
