They had this kind of driving in the multiplayer, it was great, most fun I've had in a multiplayer game in a long time. Dunno why people hated it. Zooming around the map, being chased by bank robbers, jumping out the car or running people over, it was great.

These missions were worked on by EA Jawbreaker, which consisted of former employees of EA Blackbox whom previously worked on Need for Speed. Jawbreaker also worked on Battlefield Hardline and a few other EA titles around that time, mostly helping with driving missions and environment art. Criterion had no involvement in this game but their car models often get reused in EA games where licensed models aren't an option. NFS Undercover, Skate, BFH, etc.
The car’s engine sound and the sound of the enemies’ cars overtaking you sounds just like NFS The Run. Our car’s engine sound even sounds like a slightly modified version of the police car engine sound from The Run.
I actually remembered this mission not too long ago and thought in retrospect it is probably one of the best driving missions in history of first person shooters. The setting, the music, and the fact that it was more than just press W to win with the inclusion of hide and seek segment, ramming mechanic etc was genuinely underrated.
I think MW 2005 was one of if not the best NFS ever released.... however I loved the run. ug1-2 MW carbon, and the run were all really good to me. I lost interest after playing mw 2012, I mean it's a good game but they butchered the Most Wanted name and I've never found myself enjoying it due to that.
Call of Duty series and most of the other shooter series made car chase segments for their games and I usually like them but here in MoH it's different. While playing others for the first time it feels exciting but then you replay such missions that excitement gets lower but in MoH Warfighter I can feel the same intensity and pressure like I playing it for the first time even at my second and third playthroughs.
I actually like it when EA studios reuse assets from other games. The second car they were supposed to swap to is the Kitano Touge Sport from Burnout Paradise.
@@kdh6387 I loved these 2 MoH games, they're one of the best shooters I've ever played, the only problem that I had with Warfighter was that the graphics were like Battlefield 3, it was way before its time, if this game came out now, or at least had a remastered version now, it would possibly beat Call of Duty in the new direction they've taken.
This is actually an undercooked idea they experimented in battlefield. A new nfs instalment with an original story of being a fugitive from government secret ops (similar like Bourne identity). Begins with getting an amnesia and escaping whatever terrible mission he's doing, stole a small city car, goes into hiding, try to do some odd jobs like deliveries and maybe some small races to survive while being chased by sec ops whenever caught. Player finds new vehicles in abandoned warehouses and slowly restoring them and escape the state similar how mw05 ended. I just thought about this while taking a sh@t and EA would never financially support original ideas like this.
Imagining an entire need for speed in a first person perspective would probably bring a whole new era for need for speed. To ve honest i want a need for speed in an open world like the crew but have it play like GTA. imagine that, a need for speed that would destroy two franchise with one franchise. That.. i would pay 70 bucks for.
It's expensive to have high quality real-time reflections in terms of optimizing. You might know more than me since I don't play racing games, but you'd think for how close to the camera a rearview is, racing devs would show it more love and take the effort to make them convincing.
Glad to know I wasn’t the only one having an issue with their driving. Part of the problem might be that they’re just not used to that type of driving. But at the same time it’s still annoying to watch when you know exactly how they’re messing up.
Some of the traffic cars are in Burnout Paradise, that super car park right in front of the first part is a "Rossolini Tempesta", and more into the mission are also others running in the traffic
i literally just played this mission last night and was surprised how good the driving was and seeing our guy actually switching gears makes it so much more immersive

First person-view was part of the View Engine (The child of Frostbite Engine) Now the new NFS games do not use the View Engine, hence why there is almost no interior details. Last time the View Engine was used was for Need For Speed The Run.
I remember I would replay this mission over and over again as a kid, its awesome the sound of the car, the gear shifting effects, the vision blur after ramming into the pursuing cars, the dynamic music changing with the mission and your playstyle, the constant dialogue and everything just worked together to make probably the most badass driving mission ever
Because modern day NFS has something like 150 cars in it that were never built with first-person in mind and would need to be remodeled. That's a lot of man-hours and its hard to justify something like that unless you have it planned from the start.
Mw 05 "fans" will hate it for the every single thing that is not like they expected. And it will again be "the worst nfs in the series" since its new and everything that is less than 10-15 y/o in that series is "awful", "worst in the series" and "cant be lower that that"

Idk about that, a little know game called "Midnight club: Los Angelas" has imo some of the best racing gameplay and customization ever. It was made by Rockstar, and you can tell that game was kind of a demo for their future driving systems in titles like GTA but dialled up to 11.
