I used to watch this religiously and cried horribly when Joan passed. An episode with Ru is just what I needed.

But he tells the same stories over and over.... I think that's a reason he doesn't get interviewed much

I will never tire of your mom's voice. It is soothing to me in a very odd way. She sounds like the Jewish grandmother I always wished for but just my dumb luck, I got a mean German Lutheran who only loved as long as you were a cute baby, puppy or a kitten - once you hit age two and said more than 4 words at a time you were banished from her presence. I remembered when your mother voiced Francine' s grandmother on PBS' Arthur and how non-hip cool and honest she was with her cartoon grand daughter and that's still how she sounds to me today watching these In Bed With Joan Webisodes. She also had and raised one helluvah great kid, thank you for keeping her legacy alive.
I just LOVE how openly they were able to talk to each other, and it was probably even more prominent when they were off camera.

I remember watching these for the first time. I love your mum. She was an energy that has never been matched. So funny, so witty, so considerate and caring and cut throat in jest. I have a few signed Joan rivers things. One of the only truly implicitly funny to the bone people. A tortured soul but we loved her.

I was just thinking about how much I miss Joan Rivers. She really knew how to dress people down with love. The older I get the more I appreciate and respect her ability to be direct and hilarious while also being whip smart. I seriously just watched the episode of wife swap you both did together. While watching this I can't help but hear her voice in my head saying "it's so nice to be in bed with a "man" I actually LIKE." XOXO
