Tribute to Liberace

A peek into the life of a remarkable man and entertainer. This display, at the Nevada State Museum in Las Vegas, ends on 29 April 2024. Liberace was known all over the world for his classical piano performances, but soon learned that fame and fortune lay somewhere between classical and popular performances. His parents were known for their musical talents as well as George, his brother. Liberace was the first king of the Las Vegas Strip showrooms. He maintained close ties with his family and was known for his contributions to charity. When critics of his lifestyle hounded him, his response was that he was "laughing all the way to the bank."
