You have a good eye, and must know horses. Comanche, at age 26, has developed arthritis in his pasterns. When I purchased him in 2002, it was pointed out that he had abnormally straight pasterns and would likely have problems in the future. When he was born, the breeder should have had the vet do surgery on the tendons to relax the joint but this was not done. As a result, he has always had very rough trot and he stumbles at times since he digs his hooves into the ground with a "thud", rather than having normal lift and extension of the hoof. He has been a great companion over the years and now we both have orthopedic issues, so he no longer is ridden. He has special "rocker" shoes to help him to move without pain. So, we just walk and play together and do ground work. Thanks for asking.

Not any more. It is fenced off now. The Pahrump Poolfish has been reintroduced after the lake had been drained for 2 years. The rangers do not want people to dispose of their pet fish that might once again reduce the poolfish population. You can still go around the far side of the lake to reach the Sandstone Canyon Trail.

After all these years I finally made it to the cemetery. It was very touching. I just had to say something to remind people what the day is about. Glad you liked it. My brother in law is buried there. Served two tours in Viet Nam and had complications from PTSD and Agent Orange.
