How interesting! Also, how sweet to demonstrate the technique with your daughter 🧡 I am a migraine sufferer and I've just discovered neurofeedback. Something else to look into. Thanks for sharing.

I love how shes distracted a lot as we see on the screen(like you said of course she would by the talking) and then when you tell her shes doing a good job, for a long period of time, there is no line. Thats so cute because one would assume its because she got positive reinforcement. Maybe i'm reading into it, but still awesome and interesting!

thank you so much for sharing. I have been going to NF for 11 sessions now. I sit in an uncomfortable chair, with my eyes closed, and just listen. I am yelled at if I open my eyes and am told not to move. I don't even know I'm moving. They are still tweaking and they say they are having trouble because I am a difficult case. I am way more agitated, especially after going. It s good to hear that there are some out there who are doing it like this, where the patient is not so agitated.
After my mapping, it was too much energy for them to push print or put it into a pdf form so I could print it. I am not sure when you do the mapping, but they waited for 7 sessions until they did mine. now I know they are doing it differently and it is not my fault I feel so awful. thanks for letting me get this out.

Being uncomfortable and yelled at are two very counter productive aspects that you do not want in neurofeedback. This is often used to retrain the brain from things including PTSD, ADHD, ASD, ect among anxieties and depression. That is often years of trauma along with it, yelling being a common one. I understand that it's frustrating but I would really recommend calling around to speak to other providers. I'm sorry you're dealing with that just to be told you're a difficult case. They are the professionals, that is not your concern nor should you have been told (To extend the amount of sessions is the only reason IMO). It should be relevant in how they assess and manage your treatments, that's it.

When I sign up, I want to include neural meditation.
I’ve had my muse for several weeks now and I’m back into meditating each morning, 40 minutes plus.
The feedback is really helping me to get dialed into meditative state.

I just started doing this therapy at the VA hospital and mine works where I have to control the size of certain shapes. I have to make them larger and keep two colored squares within two squares in order to be rewarded. I've only done one session so far, but I hope it helps. My anxiety was a 36 and she said it should be like 10 or below. It's really bad. I need this to help. It's too much to take.

I live abroad and recently I have tried some neurofeedback sessions but there were no audio or video or computer games. They only attached two electrodes to my brain and some sort of charts and graphs were shown to them on a monitor. I think they have been deceiving me. I mean could this treatment be possible with no video or audio?

  • @Inapeartree

How does this treatment affect creativity and imagination? Spelling, writing, speech?
My daughter has been struggling with sudden onset anxiety, but her artistic ability in drawing has actually greatly improved and cursive handwriting as well, which is opposite of what I would think would be happening. At the same time, her imagination, spelling, writing, and printing has declined.
She spells and writes better with cursive, but printing the words are missing letters, backwards, and written as one long sentence and not as separate words.
If this type of treatment were to be done, would she possibly lose the artistic ability she's gained? Is there disconnecting involved when doing these types of exercises?

I'm in therapy but there is no visual feedback like this and the movie is just shown normally no screen changes. There is only some auditory lbeeping coming from the machine no headphones. I'm not even sure the beeping is related to how I'm thinking because it beeps even ehen im highly anxious.

I don’t get it. So if a person who did good or bad but lives in shame, blame, guilt as a consequence - how does a NF session spark or retrain these moments that affect them?
PTSD, ADHD, Agoraphobia… I’m interested how it works.
Memorial tend to remain and haunt

Yep! I have Brainmaster systems in the office but...Try the Muse headband to start off. You can purchase it from Muse with a 15% discount with the link below. It is very affordable and works! I have the Muse-2 and you can add the Biofeedback+ feature to listen to podcasts with brain feedback. You will enjoy it and it will help.
You can add coaching with me if you are inspired. ;)
