Idk how many times I’ve gone out on a job and end up using a wrench as a hammer because I didn’t think I’d need one prior. Thank you for introducing this to me! 👌🏽

I saw another welder using one of these a few years ago and thought it looked pretty handy. Bought one for the fab cart in my shop and I use it a fair amount.

I have one with a ratchet not a pry bar. Love it

If only it had a screwdriver... However if you look carefullly, the prybar end may be used as a slotted one.

I have that craftsman and a Stanley version of the same wrench they work great for what they are and money spent on them. They come in handy for what they are as well. I have it in my kit instead of a hammer so I can have a pry bar a wrench and hammer in one 1⃣. Seems heavy duty enough to pound and pry out nails and demolition (its intention).

I have a similar tool from Stanley, maybe they are out of the same factory. My late father would use a small piece of wood under the head of his claw hammer if it wouldn't pull a nail in one single action, similar to watching you with the tall nails. Try that some time and see if it works for you. I have been watching your channel for around 6 months now and find it very interesting 👍🇬🇧

This paired with a classic 12in spud wrench would be great in a general Maintenence/industrial tool bag. In other words… I just ordered one.

Can't you close something in the jaws like a wood block and hit that? You could even slot it to fit around the wrench a bit if you made a more reusable setup.

There is a Stanley one almost identical to this one

Stanley owns Craftsman so not surprising.

pretty nice overall. some compromises but then again the design also delivers functionality too, maybe more so once you figure out techniques. Definitely would like to be able to hammer it between boards. That doesn't always require maximum force either so that grind up top you do could mean a lot more possibility, as long as you can retain the nail grip ability I suppose. Might be kind of fun to try to redesign this tool in CAD to see if a strike area can be eeked out with a little experimentation.
There's a drawback to getting too weird with a tool, is that normal people don't know what they're looking at so they ignore it. In this case, people recognize the adjustable wrench and the prybar and think, hey I got both. But you mod the design too much then they no longer recognize the adjustable wrench part. Can be a conundrum there when trying to design a tool that does things well. Look too funky and nobody will ever buy it anyway, unless you're absolutely amazing at marketing it to normies.

A reversible jaw to grab pipe would have sold me, otherwise great demo/junkyard tool.

10 inches because useable handle is 10 with a non-handle pry end.

It's still an adjustable wrench, so I think the quality still matters.
I'd rather just pair a good adjustable wrench with a cats paw , you can use the cats paw for hammering if need be and those 2 seperate tools strapped together wouldn't be much bulkier/ heavier.

Even my cheapest adjustables don't have that much slop, I can hear that thing rattling all over the place.....One of the reasons I haven't got one yet was because it said 10 inch, they would be wise to list the real length.

when you bend nail over then the nail puller will remove the nail. a good test would have been the sawmill oak boards i took down in my country shed when i was removing the horse stall . every nail was extremely hard to pull from the boards i going to reuse . loud squeaking . i am not the bend over pointed end of the nail so i had to remove them. bad habit i try to straighten each removed nail
to reuse even though i have thousands of new ones in the shed. it's a depression era thing my grandmother taught me . oak . hard to drive nails in without bending . hard to remove from. even my cats paw doesn't like to remove them .

I'm just going to be frank. It s stupid design. In all my life, I have never not used a prybar with a hammer. There is no way to hammer the prybar. It might be ok for nails but what's the point in haveing a wrench? If you could find something that you could use both ends to achieve something I can see that point, but I can't think of anything. The tool in my opinion doesn't make sense and therefore is a waste of money.
