I totally agree! “If you Want Blood...,” is undoubtably my favorite live album and has been since ~1980! It never gets old! I turned my 9 year old daughter onto it 4 years ago and we still listen to it on our drives to her travel softball games to get her pumped! Only problem is, none of her teammates or friends listen to anything other than the current hip hop or whatever that crap pop music is these days.
I'm not even interested in this song but I love your teaching and playing style so much, I'm watching it! It's a joy to watch your videos. Everything is just right, from the video to the audio balance, to your explanation and your voicings. Appreciate you brother.
Riff Raff is my absolute favourite AC/DC song, and this album is one of the first i ever bought. on cassette, hahaha! still have it, actually- only now i've got it on CD and vinyl; plus a couple of sections of it on VHS ;) mate, i started watching this video with some trepidation, kinda expecting to hate it.. but i gotta say you've done it justice. nice work 👍
probably won't learn this but it's always a pleasure watching you tear these tunes apart. got a laugh out of the SG going out of tune. got the same one, sounds great but staying in tune is more of wishful thinking than reality. nicely done!
Duuuuuuude !!! This song has everything that makes ACDC epic. I want that guitar if you ever get rid of it. Don't own an SG and I'm gonna get one. Your the best James. Absolutely love the shirt brother
Thank You so much. It took the pandemic to get me to discover AC/DC and Powerage for the 1st time. Those boys just blow my mind. Thanks Thanks Thanks for the lesson!!!!!!!!😁
To keep your guitar in tune learn about the Gibson Mandolin String Winding method at the post. There's a video on UA-cam. It's also called the Luthiers Knot. Works flawlessly once the strings are evenly stretched up & down the neck with a tiny bit of nut slot sauce. 3 & 4 step bends without much issue. And I've had plenty of SG guitars. Let me know. Oh, and make certain that the tuning gears are snug without any gear slippage. Good luck.
IMHO, the best AC/DC riff of them all......and they wrote a metric ton of them..BTW, nice shirt. I have that poster on the wall in my garage. Takes me back to Jr High school
Yehhh you're the guy who teaches me guitar, I thought you were dead or something. Glad to see you. I typed out a comment about I dunno something about the side of a thumb but then I realised nah man that's that guy from then fucking here man. Welcome back. K
If you want to get a place rocking, they are the go to band.. Great riffs, look easy, but speed would be the issue.. Well done on a song not heard very often.. Thanks so much for the lesson/video..
I'm old enough to have had the Farrah poster on my bedroom wall in high school. And to have bought the original Powerage album on vinyl. Unfortunately, I no longer have the walnut Gibson SG I had at that time. Idiot. #Vintage
Me too brother! All my friends had that poster! I also had a Cheryl Tiegs next to her, lol! Luckily I still have my tobacco burst SG and just had my Marshall JCM800 restored last year! Riff Raff sounds really good through my gear! 😉
I will forever associate the name Riff Raff with Rocky Horror. You ever do Rocky Horror? I don't mean play any of the songs, which WOULD be great, but I mean did you ever go to the midnight show?
Dammit Man... Nailed it!!!... Great job Brother.... Killer tone...attack...The total package. I am so glad I found your channel/vid ... Very educational and informative. You've got em locked in. You have helped me out on a lot of questionable riffs/technique with the Almighty Angus and crew.Just curious.....what amplifiers are you using? Again thank you again. Godspeed and Much Respect from St Petersburg Florida U.S.A.....
Love this, did you write down all the phases to learn this, I can't remember all the phase changes just by playing to backing track, I was just wondering what your technique is to do this?
Hey! I really like your tutorials! Keep ‘em coming. Quick question - on your SG, why is your neck pickup installed like it’s in the bridge position? Shouldn’t the pole adjustment screws be closer to the neck? If you purposely installed it that way, please tell us why or how it changes your tone. Thx.
@@jamesjames9275 I almost had my mouthful of coffee spray outta my nose on that one. Genius comeback comment! I was immediately remembering Peter's "I'm In You" album cover picture.
The whole album is kick ass. Possibly the best live album ever.
So far 7 people agree with you. Not bad.

Lemmy...You are exactly right! I can't think of a better one at all.
Awesome ... Bon era AC/DC tunes never fail to put a big smile on your face ... so much energy in everything they did. Great play along and lesson man.
This song is a beast. I don’t know how they played it so clean in that live performance.
We all need a little Riff Raff in our lives. Good job!
You put the perfect feel and attitude into your playing. Tone sounds just like the record🏁
Excellent tune for a lesson and I'm loving the rhythm exercises, thanks JJ cheers.
One of my top five songs ever, played on a black SG ,with a Farrah shirt, on my birthday. Thank you my friend.

You might have run into me at the Penny Arcade way back when...
You’ve showed us your guitar collection. I bet your t-shirt collection is just as impressive. Nice job on the tune.

iconic T- Shirt
I need this, oh and maybe a new Farrah poster......my ears and fingers thank you
That shirt is bringing back some serious memories. What teen aged boy didn't have that poster hanging in their room back in the day!?!
Daxmo Jones My mother wouldn’t let me get it.
@@jamesjames9275 Awe bummer. Well, the t-shirt makes up for it ;-)

Hey all! They’re all Bon Scott! . ✌️🤪🎸🎶🎵🎶
Stanfard tuning or half step down?
Awesome exercise brother! I have to ask how many guitars do you have? And which one's your fav?
The J200 is definitely my favorite.
I have nothing!
What ever happened to Farrah?
Can someone tell me who that is on his shirt? Thank you in advance
That's Peter Frampton.

One quick question, do you know who The Velvet Underground is?
Is this a trick question?
@@jamesjames9275 Did you ever do a VU song lesson? Because I just can't remember
The riff is hard to play clean for me.
Junior's Guitar Ranch Just takes a little work.
