Excellent video, Kevin! It was a pleasure meeting you. You are an amazing person with a wealth of knowledge. I absolutely enjoyed collaborating with a fellow gardener. Thanks for the shout out. Happy Gardening!
So how would one in southern California go about acquiring a gem avacado seed? I found nothing on ebay and although I do have an avacado tree I put in the ground a year ago it is not a dwarf variety which would be much more preferred.
Oh one more thing, try not to grow your avocado from a seed. Its a hit or miss. Some people will talk about success stories and the rest who failed won't share their experiences. Grafted trees produce true fruits just like their parent and the rootstock is chosen as a dwarf so that the growth is restricted to bush/small tree size. Fruit production, interestingly, is quite abundant in dwarf trees as well.
Noob gardener coming into her third year of container gardening but California Gardening was the first channel I started following, love the monthly harvest videos, Epic was the second! Worlds colliding lol🤯🤣 He has a new garden now, you guys should do an updated tour!❤
Sometimes going into a garden other than being in awe of the beauty of it I walk through and identify plants too. Lol There is usually a wait what's that moment. So neat to know there is always something more to know . Cheers. Thanks for the guided tour
I have a massive curry tree in my backyard that we basically do nothing for. It's really almost as tall as my (two storey) house! The last time I harvested from it I actually just reached out of my bathroom window upstairs and grabbed a few stalks lol because it was practically in my window lol. The seeds also grow really, really, really easily--they drop into the space below the mother tree and we basically have a curry seedling jungle in that space because that part of the garden isn't easily accessible for us to clear it.
Wow friend this was “epic “! I love watching his channel. I love this kind of interaction, where one gardener visits another. Such a great vid, thumbs up 😊
Such a big difference between Zone 10 in Southern California and Northern California. My average temperature all year is 50 - 55. Fog and overcast. 65 on really hot days. Southern California gets 70 - 80 days, and a lot more sun. I could never grow a pineapple in San Francisco.
A footnote...I will bet the farm and two cows from the farm next door that you know who John Jeavons is.....I have followed his work for years...well a lady I was dating in Ukiah knew his wife and my friend got me one of his books autographed to me...I think he has been in Willits California for years now....I treasure having an autographed book from one of my heroes...take care.
I am looking for gardeners in Inyo County. Do you know where this garden is? CA has a lot of different planting zones. Looking for something in Eastern Sierra zone 7b
Hi, I have some questions , if you would let me ask. I have watch your videos for a while now and the last two years I have some problems I have pictures etc. thanks Joe
It’s a nice garden tour for sure - however I was expecting California native plants. Natives are better for pollinators than any other plant. “A buckwheat in every garden”

Try finding a dwarf Gwen - I have read that its very similar to the GEM, but no first-hand experience with it. Some nurseries should sell it.

Nice stir fry there. Will be drying out chillies and put them in used pepper / salt grinders. Simple seasoning.
Yup, great minds think alike!
This is awesome! I just found your channel on the Feedspot Blog readers. New sub.
Awesome
Great garden! I’ve been looking for gardener’s in the bay area. I’d like to learn more about plants that do well in the Bay Area.
Me too. I’ve basically had to curate all the information from people all over the world, because there’s no Bay Area channel.
I am looking for gardeners in Inyo County. Do you know where this garden is? CA has a lot of different planting zones. Looking for something in Eastern Sierra zone 7b

What’s the name of the lotion that you use on your hands, instead of garden gloves?

Do you want to do a video about giant vegetables? I have a giant radish and I have no idea why...or what to do with it.
What kind of basil is that??
Holy basil!
At thought that was a joke at first, until I looked it up!
Do you have curry leaves seeds I would like to get some please
About taro: if you eat the leaves, make sure you cook them... they are extremely irritating to your mouth and throat otherwise.
Good tip!
that was definitely a surprise. i follow his channel. cool dude!
So great! And a truly experienced gardener
It’s a nice garden tour for sure - however I was expecting California native plants. Natives are better for pollinators than any other plant.
