Hi Nina, it' Louise again tks for unswering me , i finished those closter blocks i wrote about now i am working on the cable stitches so far so good .I hope you make more videos because it is my first piece and already i learned a lot . Thanks again Nina with love from Malta
Excellent instructions and your graph paper photos really helped...up at odd numbers and down at even numbers. Great job...now on to part 2! Thank you.
Thank you,Nina, for your lessons! I"ve done this blanket , but I was stitching for the first time.I liked hardanger and I'm glad to watch your teaching ! With love from Moscow,Russia.
i found with you my love to the hardaanger brodery what never did before, got my first succes because you give the whole instruccions from the very beginning to the end of the work, that means, we all could see our progress.
I listened to the video where you explained the corner for the first set of cable and it was able to achieve the corner. All is well . Thank you for everything.
Thank you! I was stuck on this stitch years ago, I just couldn't understand the pattern and made a mess of it. You have explained it so well I feel totally confident in giving it another go. I love Hardanger, it's so pretty, thank you for taking the time to show us aspiring stitches how to do it.
Need help. I was successful in completing the first two cable but get confused with the second set cable. The confusion occurs at the top before going down the next side. could you show how to deal with the top of second cable. hope you understand this unclear message.
No, this book does not have left handed instructions for this stitch. I could not find left handed instructions specifically, however Nordic Needle has a diagram of this stitch done the opposite way I do mine. This may help you - here's the link (it's a bit further than half way down the page): www.nordicneedle.net/guides/stitching-techniques-guides/scandinavian-techniques/hardanger-embroidery/201-hardanger/ Hope this helps!
Stitching with a Smile thank you for taking the time to get this information for me. With that and your explanation I should be able to figure it out. It is always a challenge learning a new stitch but I am stubborn and interested enough that I try until I get it. I will try on a sampler before I try it on this piece.
I am ready to start the cable stitch ("Life with Father" has been interfering - movie title, LOL and also my uncooperative body) Just to be clear before I start, this is using the #8 thread, correct? Do you have any new videos planned? Hoping so. I enjoy yours so much. I will miss them when finished!
Hi Carol - yes, it is with the #8 pearl cotton. I'll work on another video once this Fibre Fest is over (I'm demonstrating and need to get everything in order).
Thanks Nina. Was just waiting to make sure. Will work on the cable today or tomorrow. I didn't realize that Fibre Fest was so long! Thought it was just one weekend. Must be quite a "do". :D

Merry Christmas to you too!
Why on earth are there dislikes on this video? It beats me completely, competitors maybe!
oh boy, something tells me that's quite a bit of homework :) Thanks Nena! xx
Hello! Just want to ask: do you use size 5 or 8 for the cable stitch. Thanks a lot for your clear instructional videos.
Hi. I use the smaller size, in this case the #8. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the quick response. Is possible to have your email address. Your videos really helprd in completing my first hardanger project.
@@mariavictoriahuvalla5757 I would love to see pictures of your work. My email is ninawhissell@gmail.com

Does the book you referred to shows how to do this stitch for a left handed stitcher.
