    meMiner broke his hand and still continued to dig. That's what being passionate about your passtime means. Daisy is not a cat but a magic dog. She licked meMiners hand and now it's healed.

    I left my last comment before it got to the spot in the video about breaking your hand. I hope you are recovering well. I pulverized the 5th metatarsal in my right hand back in January 2005. I had to go through two reconstructive surgeries over a six month period, so it required many titanium pins to piece as much as possible back together. I went through a year of physical therapy and got just over 90% mobility restored. I wish you a full recovery. Working on anything with only one hand is so crippling, especially when it's your dominant hand.

    • @meMiner
      @meMiner  3 роки тому +1

      When I came out of the cast, I could hardly move my fingers. It improved over time and I was given some physio exercises to help. I have almost full range of motion now but it still hurts somewhat and is weaker. A few days rockhounding should fix my complaints. ;-)

    • @mwilson14
      @mwilson14 3 роки тому

      @@meMiner Yeah. It will take a while to stop hurting when using your hand. The hot wax dip was the part of PT I most enjoyed. My second surgery was to remove all the hardware out of my hand and to scrape away the bone scarring that formed over the tendon, which entrapped it, preventing me from being able to move my pinky. Anyhow, don't worry about replying again on my comment. Save your hand movement for something better.

    These subterranean videos are always the best! Not the broken hand part (ouch! 😫) but basically anytime you’re digging in some dark, tight little cave under a tree. • @meMiner
      @meMiner  3 роки тому

    • @meMiner

      I had originally intended on yelling "rock" where the word in the song is "tusk". In the end, I didn't know how to do it without getting a copyright stroke. So I went with the USC marching band and cheerleaders instead.

    A floor jack would fit in the hole and you can open it up with minimal effort you would just have to carry it all the way from your truck though
    Hopefully you have some ibuprofen or something stronger for the ride home
    Daisy could do some digging for you
