Praying for fast recovery on your hand. I just realized this video is from the fall. Go a little easier on yourself this year. We need you in good health to film those great northern adventures you provide for us out here. Take care.
meMiner broke his hand and still continued to dig. That's what being passionate about your passtime means. Daisy is not a cat but a magic dog. She licked meMiners hand and now it's healed.
Bummer on the hand. I'm Glade to see it's healing, hopefully it won't slow you down this spring detecting. It's great to see you Daisy on the hunt for treasures. Thank you for the video!!!
@@meMiner Awesome the weather in tennessee has just broke this week. It's going to be in the mid 60's. My buddy and I are going arrow head hunting and detecting. Hopefully the weather will break for you soon.
I left my last comment before it got to the spot in the video about breaking your hand. I hope you are recovering well. I pulverized the 5th metatarsal in my right hand back in January 2005. I had to go through two reconstructive surgeries over a six month period, so it required many titanium pins to piece as much as possible back together. I went through a year of physical therapy and got just over 90% mobility restored. I wish you a full recovery. Working on anything with only one hand is so crippling, especially when it's your dominant hand.
When I came out of the cast, I could hardly move my fingers. It improved over time and I was given some physio exercises to help. I have almost full range of motion now but it still hurts somewhat and is weaker. A few days rockhounding should fix my complaints. ;-)
@@meMiner Yeah. It will take a while to stop hurting when using your hand. The hot wax dip was the part of PT I most enjoyed. My second surgery was to remove all the hardware out of my hand and to scrape away the bone scarring that formed over the tendon, which entrapped it, preventing me from being able to move my pinky. Anyhow, don't worry about replying again on my comment. Save your hand movement for something better.
Excellent video, awesome crystals, really bad owl impression 😂 This man should be snapped up by national geographic for his own series, Thanks for making and sharing, hope your finger heals quickly my friend
It is sometimes fairly easy to get hurt in some of the places we go hunting our rocks. I am glad you showed Daisy, I was afraid something was wrong with her. Glad you healed without surgery. Havagudun Bud.
So sorry about the hand, that swelling looked real bad too (funny how broken bones will do that to you). Hoping to see you and Daisy on some future adventures.

Great video, cheerleaders? 🤔😎Hope your hand is recovering, I broke my right wrist a few months ago “ouch🤬” so after surgery and some added hardware it still hurts but it is possible to rockhound one handed! Not easy but possible😁.
Sweet adventure I remember you breaking your hand you never did say how it happened yup amazing how how we keep going lol great to see daisy again glad your healed up how is the heart doing now and your wife and daughter soon it will be warm enough for more adventures take care my friend
I’m happy your hand healed up well! I would value your opinion on what I’m finding in my local spot, seems mostly different forms of selenite, but have some black rhombohedral crystals I’m not sure about. They are softer, about a 3 hardness-most mica based. There’s pics at the end of my video. I’m just starting rockhounding!
I've broken about 7 bones the past 5 years, never went to the hospital once, always had to set the bones back myself (as best I could) and continue on without any casting or wrapping. 😬 I know your pain well, hope it goes away soon.
In the past, I have broken toes and ribs and didn't visit the hospital because they don't do anything for it. However in this case, I needed their help and equipment or it wouldn't have healed right.
Looks like it's been a tough year for you. Let's hope your bad luck has passed and this year holds nothing but physical and spiritual riches. You seem pretty good at taking things in stride, so you're already on your way ;)
The toughness is strong with this one, Obi-wan. And, although a gentleman. I’m still trying to figure out the cheerleaders. They were definitely gem quality.
So that's how it happened! At least it was in pursuit of crystals! Glad you healed up well. I remember your videos of apatite crystals just falling out of the dirt. Maybe you can show us your crystal collection sometime? Thanks for a look back, take care.
Here's my advice on breaking a bone. "Don't do it again!" Like I know anything about. Ain't never broke a bone. Well, none of my own anyway. Glad you healed up and they didn't have to cut anything off. Keep smiling.

These subterranean videos are always the best! Not the broken hand part (ouch! 😫) but basically anytime you’re digging in some dark, tight little cave under a tree. I prefer rare or well formed crystals. That might sound a bit spoiled, but I would be overwhelmed if I brought everything I found home and I don't mind leaving rocks behind for someone else. ;-)
@@meMiner I totally get that. As I learn more about rocks and fossils, I develop a better eye for finding good specimens and no longer take home the crap I used to think was interesting. This is also essential to avoid living the life of a hoarder. 👍
