to be more accurate
genius wand - reduces enemy with a flat magic resistance reduction.
divine glaive - give you percentage magic penetration depending on the enemy's resistance.
meaning, since genius gives flat magic res, if the enemy has high magic resistance. the enemy resistance will just overwhelm this debuff, therefore the higher the res the lesser this item is effective. while since divine gives percentage, the magic penetration you get depends on the enemy magic resistance, the lower the resistance the lower the pen you get from this item, with enemy having high resistance you also get high magic penetration.
regardless, it's always better to combine both. if you can't, then choose whichever is better depending on your enemy. I mean in late game, even assassins end up using both 😂 but still, it's nice to know these things.
Lots of people are saying they don't work together, When it's actually stated they complement and work well together in mlbb official server

Why do you recommend genius wand on karina? It's garbage item for her, since firtsly she's burst hero not multidamage hero to stack genius wand, secondly half of her damage comes from her passive and starlium scythe, which is true damage, and pen doesn't work on true damage, only magic power allows karina to deal more true damage.
I agree with you Divine Glaive Is Better on Karina, I make mistakes sometimes because of the amount of research and editing it takes to create a video, And it becomes overwhelming at times leaving me without time for re checking my videos

Genius wand needs 3 hits for max stacks.
So no need for muliti hit.
Karina combo go like:1st,ulti(1 hit),basic attack(1 hit), 2nd(1hit), ulti(1hit). 4 hits total.
Plus Karina targets squishy/ no defense heroes, which in fact genius wand deals more damage to.
TLDR.
Genius wand is for bursting
Devine glaive is for anti tank.
Karina is a burst hero so genius wand is a good item for her.
No, divine glaive is against enemies with high mag def, agains squishies pure magic power is better. Her passive doesn't stack genius wand, bcs it's true damage not magic dmg, it's as same as building malefic on alpha, half of alpha's and karina's dmg is true, so half of the damage don't benefit from pen.
@@potential.021 just because her passive can't benefit from it doesn't mean she doesn't.
Her passive is missing HP based, so in order to to deal more damage she needs a burst of damage first then comes the passive damage.
@@randomlygenerated6172 while 4 hits does max out the pen debuff with karina, the item shines from the damage comes from the hits AFTER the armor has subsided...

You can actually combine both and add a lot more dmg on the enemies. It also depends on what type of magic heroes you're using. Heroes with many tiny dmg (burst or continues) follows the rules in this video (or you can buy both too). But heroes that deals high damage (one big number in a single shot) with short duration (not continues) you always want to pick divine.

If enemy has high magic defense at late game, and i have 2 slots left. Should i buy divine glaive and genius, or divine glaive and flat magic power items like blood wings/holy?
It depends on the heroes you're using, if you're using heroes that deal constant magic damage like Gusion, Silvanna, Nathan, then you should buy Genius Wand and Glowing Wand, they pair up really well
But if you're using burst heroes like Eudora, Vale, Guni, Pharsa, etc, then you should buy Divine Glaive And Holy Crystal, Or Even Blood Wings
What about aamon?
U can use both Genius wand and divine glaive for Aamon, With Genius wand his first and second skill along with some basic attack will be able to trigger Genius Wand Passive and his ultimate Divine Glaive

Why would you compare them? Build both if the enemy has high max hp and phys def, or build malefic if enemy has only high phys def and low max hp, build dhs against heroes with only high max hp and low phys def.

What if we use 2 divine glaive? Is it effective?
Not really, the effects will still remain the same
Uhm does divine and genius combo still works pretty good?
Some say they don't work when u combine them and some say it isn't very effective when u combine them together
But honestly, they do work together pretty well and it is even stated in MLBB Official server that they complement each other, but I'd recommend buying Divine Glaive only during late game and buy Genius Wand during the early game, and Divine Glaive Shines the most when enemies have more than 100 magical defense
And the best way to make these two items work, is by buying items like Glowing Wand, Holy Crystal, blood wings and others to get the best results out of the two items
If u Buy only Divine Glaive and Genius Wand they won't work so effectively because Genius wand provides only +75 Magic Dmg and Divine Glaive Provides +65 Magic Dmg
And that isn't a lot of magic damage that's why u need items that will give u more magic Dmg like holy crystal, blood wings etc² because at the end of the day, even if u have high Magic Penetration without Magic power, you can't deal alot of damage with magic penetration alone, you still need magic items that will boost your magic power that's why items like holy crystal are important
