Hired by E-mail is what I like to refer to as the "Holy Grail" of SoW glitches, and it is much better than the Siege Surrender method from the previous tutorial (as long as you have a controller, of course). Unlike the previous trick, this does work on Ologs. HBE was first discovered back on October 10th by The Pumpkin, mere minutes after my previous video released. We both actually happened to come across this glitch the same day due to very similar circumstances (stick drift). Pumpkin's discovery preceded mine by about 2 hours.

The trick is to tweak the analog just until the camera pans, but not too much until the blue ring appears. And hit the command button the moment it highlights the enemy captain. I know it's difficult and needs a couple tries.
Ok, after some experimentation, it looks like using this in Lithlad for online conquests comes with additional caveats: You can still do the glitch, BUT you can’t make Orks that are a part of the siege itself besides said body guard, allied or not, so unless your body guard is directly next to an orc that _isn’t_ in the siege, and can thus hopscotch off HIM a little, you can only nab whatever captains are directly around your bodyguard. Complicating this further is the fact that the army map has all captain positions randomized in regards to the assault leaders you bring in, so you can’t even tell if that bodyguard will be next to _anyone_ to poach. Still, nabbing even one or two enemy captains before the battle begins wreaks havoc behind enemy lines…. Just make sure you’re prepared to swoop in and save them if you wanted them for their own merits instead of a distraction, lest they be mauled alone without support. As an addendum, it turns out said stolen war chief bodyguards also have a nasty tendency to outright KILL their chief you stole the, from. Great if you just want to clear the fort, bad news if you were actually going to capture him. My advice would be to email hire the captains as you make your way to each point when you’ll be ready to nab them.
I know uruks hollow won’t see this but, your vids were the best bro. I started playing shadow of morodor in middle school and relied on your vids in crafting awesome captains. And followed your vids till shadow of war and still tried to learn. Thanks for all the help over the years bro
Oh man, took five years, but this game finally has the ultimate exploit! I've already suggested that The Spiffing Brit makes a Shadow of War video about this. One downside I thought of about this glitch is that the recruits will start with no loyalty, so they're likely to betray you... but that doesn't matter, since you could just use the trick again! Of course, if you don't want to do that, you could use my favorite exploit, the one that gives your followers up to +20 levels in a single mission. The way to do that: Find an enemy captain with an easily triggered Terrified weakness. Get him much higher level than your own troops, easily done by letting him kill you. If he doesn't lose his Terrified weakness, start ordering your followers to kill him, then as soon as the mission starts, set off the target's Terrified. He'll retreat, which means your guy just won the mission, getting the full XP for you and your follower. Then if you let the target escape alive, you can immediately do this again... Great way to gain levels on Talion and your troops, while also building loyalty with your followers from doing a bunch of missions with them. As a side effect, the guy you farm the levels from will end up hating you so much he'll often chase you into other zones, which is a bonus, since you can just start abusing him for free levels all over again!
I tried this glitch for the first time last night and omg I can't believe it works!!! I've always wanted to recruit Zog into my army and I finally can I'm overly stoked lol

I put at least 40 hours of gameplay to recruit and clone Zog on level 80 thanks to your previous video. Now I find out there is this easier method to do this. Man your videos are keep getting better and better. Thanks for effort you are putting in this.
@@UruksHollow That's excellent to hear. I was worried it might be a new wave of cheated orcs and trolls in sieges. If they level down though, I may be tempted to use it just so I can avoid the shame mark.
They may "lose" some level-locked traits (like Determination) if they get brought down around lvl20, but in reality, the traits are just disabled until they level up again. Their armor stays the same. It is actually possible to exploit this to level down captains without needing to shame them, and level them up again with DTs to give them more chances to gain more strengths.
This changes everything… I’ll have to evacuate Minas that I’ve been using as a training ground for weaker orcs, barring an undead bodyguard or three just in case, make space in my vault, and make sure nothing is going on in my other regions. Then I’ll die over and over to enemies of my choice and mass recruit the best cuts of meat (I’m aiming for a sniper shot no chance explosive bolts marksman), THEN I’ll make preparations for Lithlad.
I used HBE to make Bruz my bodyguard during the early part of the game. When I summoned him I attacked him and let him bleed out thinking that the game would stop it from happening. Instead he died and got replaced and now I think my game is softlocked since I need him to do the siege.
I can confirm it still works but for me its hard to do but works i managed to recruit 2 Uruks this way. Update: Managed to get Baz And Gaz with it they are chilling in my fort in gorgoroth

Basically if u attempt to spawn someone in from the garrison and it says it will cause a duel then it means if there's a dead ork they will cheat death, ik this is very late reply but u may still be playing
Those who are on ps4 try and do it as fast as you can while not making the cursor turn blue I tried doing it slowly for a whole 30 mins didn't work tried it fast once and i finished the whole captains on my side
HA! Yesterday, I was doing a Vendetta & the target was Unbreakable and Iron Will. It was in a fortress and there were 2 other Uruks with the same traits and I didn't understand how that was possible. The player had recruited them with HBE and tried to upgrade/trained an Assassin by getting killed by it. The MF was tough, but I killed it, but I was pissed, because I use Vendettas to recruit good Uruks, sop it was a waste of time for me. I don't cheat and I don't like cheaters.
I can't believe I discovered this literally the day after I killed all of The Ones. Shit like this is making me wonder if I should just start over again.
@@nathanmeredith zoom in just a little, and slowly move the stick to the captain, and look at just before it bounces, keep doing until you memorise just before the bounce, and then press triangle just before it bounces. When you do that, the order goes from the bouncer, to the bounced, and then you got a captain. This dudes advice is ass, zooming in makes it way harder. Zoom in with just one quick click from way far.

Does this work for SoW on PS4? I tried it but for vain. Hey, just scratch what I said before. It works like a charm on PS4. Talion is 53 and just made a new captain 58 with iron well my bodyguard. Kudos for you man and many thanks. The usage of this amazing glitch is endless. I just found that you can still get the xp after you apply this glitch. So, before I tried it, the lvl of the new enemy captain was 58, and since my Talion was only 53, it was either I shame or kill him. So, I sent a threat to him and there was a higher chance of getting a high quality gear, we all know this. But then I saw this video and applied this glitch, after I made him my bodyguard, I went to the mission and dominated him again with no resistance from him and made him again my bodyguard, then the mission was successful and I got the xp. But he didn't get any level up since he's already more than Talion. So, before you implement the glitch, send a threat to him, apply the glitch then do the mission and subdue him and you'll get the xp. All is good 👍
I have about 200 hours and am on brutal and despite the fact that I have pretty much everyone on my side and despite playing and getting some new captains every now and then I never have captains betray and while I do get deranged and maniacs when I shame an uruk, they never have any dialogue referencing this anymore in terms of no "you shamed me......" and just in general nothing interesting happens. Any tips? Have I just reached the end for this savegame?
@@Odin_7023 Yes! I use it all the time its very useful, if your on steam i suggest you lower your games framerate it makes it much easier to pull off consistently

it is pretty difficult and needs a lot of practice, try capping to 30 fps. you need to make the stick fast but not fast enough for the cursor to appear
Unfortunately I can't resurrect dead enemy captains with that glitch I think it got patched or it is a reason I don't know why this isn't working I can get them on my side but the nam is still red
I'm not positive, but I think they patched the part where you can resurrect dead captains. Because I'm pulling it off, I'm allowed to make the dead captain my body guard, but he just lays back down and I can't use him. - His icon even turned blue. - I have the Raise Captain perk on. But after making him my body guard it doesn't give me an option to resurrect him.
Got a issue with the glitch, i did it on baz, (he died to a graug during a hunt i didnt go to, because i as ambushed by him beforehand, and he got the graug quest during the nem mission) and he has a red name but blue level and i can summon him, but cant direct him to kill anyone, and his armour is still red on the army screen. help? Edit: Fixed it, I shunned him, it made him deranged tho, but afterwards he was a outpost leader, and i did the outpost, shamed him, and then hbe'd him again, and it fixed it, so y'know, Bruz is fine!
Cause of this glitch, my garrison went from 40-300... vendetta missions go quicly so as long as i capture one captain, i hbe the rest within minutes. But I also think I'm fixing a problem in my gaming. Since the game dropped, I haven't seen: warlock, crafty, and grabewalker. I only saw them one time when the game was fresh. 5yrs ago. After I started hbe the whole camp and found one orc of each title. I plan to make each warlords in my regions so hopefully the titles would start to spawn again

The fact that WB just sits on "nemesis" patent without making games on it nonstop is a crime. Why the heck haven't they used it in the new Batman games instead of making a copy of (mobile looking) Avengers with their Gotham Knight?
This has been a point of confusion for a while. When I say you can recruit a dead captain, that is simply what it is. The dead captain is still dead. If you want to revive him now that he is recruited, you have to have the proper skill to do so.
Damn this makes me want to reinstall the game again, and try it out. I hate having to shame enemies down to my level to recruit them, because of how easy it is to destroy their brain. Or trying to break iron will without breaking their minds.
I did HBE on Baz and Gaz and I’ve spent ages in minus morgal running my ass off and killing orca and Daz didn’t show up so I restarted the game with Baz and Gaz in my garrison and I went and I killed Baz and Gaz when they ambushed me yet Daz still isn’t showing up, is this a side affect of the glitch or something?
This might be the most useful glitch of them all. (Well, there was this other glitch where you could one shot the overlord when sieging a fortress, but idk, this may be AS GOOD. Depends on how strong the Uruk you want to recruit by using HBE is)

It's ridiculous how easy this is. Now if only there was an easier way to get captains to cheat death with the legendary scars
Oh just a little note: If you recruit Baz and Gaz, you will not be able to recruit Daz as his spawn requires their deaths

They immediately level down to match your current level.

Only issue is that i recruit a dead captain baz and he joined me but he stayed dead but in the video you said you can recruit dead captains so i thought they would be ressurected
You can raise them yourself with the Necromancer skill Undying Loyalty.
So this only works with a controller

This has been a point of confusion for a while. When I say you can recruit a dead captain, that is simply what it is. The dead captain is still dead. If you want to revive him now that he is recruited, you have to have the proper skill to do so.

You need the resurrect ring wraith skill, and have the “resurrect captains” sub-skill

Damn this makes me want to reinstall the game again, and try it out. I hate having to shame enemies down to my level to recruit them, because of how easy it is to destroy their brain. Or trying to break iron will without breaking their minds.

I did HBE on Baz and Gaz and I’ve spent ages in minus morgal running my ass off and killing orca and Daz didn’t show up so I restarted the game with Baz and Gaz in my garrison and I went and I killed Baz and Gaz when they ambushed me yet Daz still isn’t showing up, is this a side affect of the glitch or something?

This might be the most useful glitch of them all. (Well, there was this other glitch where you could one shot the overlord when sieging a fortress, but idk, this may be AS GOOD. Depends on how strong the Uruk you want to recruit by using HBE is)
You can kill a overlord, the glitch just makes it faster, but the HBE makes you do things that were impossible

still works on PC. set to 30fps and zoom in. use stuff on the floor as reference to how close you are to the orc you are trying to get
It is also possible on playstation without mouse i made it with only 1 Cotnroller
