Так что будете покупать китайский дивайс - делите китайские вольты на 13, чтобы получить реальные европейские. Европейские 400 кВ пробивают 16 см воздуха между *плоскими* электродами.

I'm guessing that the physics behind this is that the capacitor acts as a short circuit between the 2 terminals At the beginning of the cycle... Then as the capacitor plates get charged up it changes behavior from being a Short circuit to an open circuit... Because the plates are fully charged. At that point all that charge has to go someplace so it bridges the air gap between the 2 prongs but not only does it have the output of the transformer to push it across at fairly high voltage... It also has the charge built up in the capacitor to add to that. The end result being a massively higher voltage to make the spark a lot more impressive. Then the process starts again, and this process happens hundreds of times per second. Pretty dang cool, I'll have to remember that.

Keep in mind the Chinese ration would have been a lot better with the beef mixed in, too. Especially if you got it nice and hot so the fat from the beef melted into the rice. Now you have sweet, hot, sour, and salty. Chinese cooking is all about combining flavors like that.
You can get one of those modules with a voltage multiplier already inside (which makes it like this one with the cap, but way more powerful), they're made for stun guns. Then you just add any 3-6v battery on the input and that's it. 18650 batteries work well for example, they're extremely easy to get and cheap, they're 3.7v. Also just so you know, these modules actually produce 10-30kv, so dont believe those 400kv or 1000kv advertisements you see, they're all fake.
