Great video Gene. Thanks, I know it's a lot of time and effort. I have the MXT Pro with the 10" DD coil as well as the V3i. There is a little trick to get full Coin & Jewelry tones in the Relic mode. Get it ground balanced (tracking or locked) in C&J and then flip the mode switch to Relic. You will have full tones above your disc. setting. I usually run in this mode with disc see at about 2.5 to nock out the nails. The MXT will stay in this special mode until you press a button. Also the Relic mode has a slower SAT so it is a little deeper and can run with higher gain. Another technique for IDing bottle caps when running in C&J mode is to switch to prospecting. The iron percentage will go to 30% or higher and coins stay at 10%. Alan
Awesome. Thanks for the tips! I think I did the tone thing on accident once. Glad you told me how to do it again. I'm really loving this machine. Happy Hunting:)
@@paulstevens2839 yes these old dinosaur 🦖 lol are coming back to show them PI minlabs what time it is lol 🤣 but really for older vlf machines these babies are still taking names kicking rear end lol yeah I love my whites MXT pro she is so versatile gold , coins relics my self Im hunting for gold in the mountains hey old donold trump got to get out once in a while right lol 🤣 god bless guys take care and happy hunting
This was a 1200 buck detector. Some had them for around 900 this will find gold no dought but the gold master whites is the way to go for gold awesome detector that gold master I love my mxt pro lots fun and does booth gold and coins and jewelry
@DonoldTrump-z2o I still have this one. Wouldn't part with it. I really like how a lot of Whites machines had US coin icons. It amazes people when you show them a quarter and then dig it up. I wish they were still around.
I love my All Pro. I have used Garrett, Minelab, and some other more inferior and NOTHING beats this machine. I detect side by side with a minelab and I still come out on top! LOVE IT! Thanks for the video.
I've got a Hanover T-49 CS buckle buried 24 inches deep in my yard. After a good soaking rain without balancing the MXT Pro I can get it to ring up two ways as -95 Hot Rock. With a quick ground grab I get a two way solid pause in the threshold with no tone id. We dig those 'no tones' all day here in Tennessee. This is with the 9.5 Eclipse coil that everyone seems to overlook. The D2 10" lost depth, you could just barely hear the threshold pause with no ground balance and then a little less with it being ground balanced. The Detech 13" did the worst out of all of them, which was surprising to me because it's my 'default' coil I use about 95% of the time. After today's results that might change this summer.
@@safoxmulder I have to get that eclipse for mine it's a must thank you sir it's either go golfing lol 🤣 or go get some gold or coins or rings or gold nuggets to day I'm gonna toss that 1922 silver dollar I found with my mxt 15 inches down to see if it's lands heads I go golf or tails I go swing the MXT
When doing that Recovery test what does the ID say on the screen? Does it try to combine them giving a wrong reading? Also you didn't try upping the SENS on the MXT to hit the deep targets would of been nice to see if you could of got them to ring up with higher SENS on.
great video. just anyone's with mxt. please really more on the id blocks. I would suggest buying mxt edge book. . but I have found targets very deep. but I think you did a great review. ..
Dude I got my MXT pro a couple yrs ago. Ive been using it the best I know how. I've read through the two books I've got. I'll tell you, I feel absolutely stupid because REALLY, I still don't understand everything in order to really have confidence in using the device. I feel that If I had anyone that I could watch, ask questions... You know hands on training I might begin to really have fun. Do you have any ideas, hints, suggestions? I live in SE ALABAMA; Coffee co.
+Aaron Carlson I've been a V3I user for a good while now, and love it. I'm starting to become very fond of the MXT All Pro. I'll be doing some more with that machine soon. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for a great video on the MXT (so very few) I might just get one, one day. Now for a good MXT AP vs MXS comparison on depth would be most appreciated.
I've been using the V3i a lot lately for most situations, but in heavy iron I'd switch to the AT Pro. Now I'm using the MX Sport quite a bit, and have found it to be very sensitive, and good in the trashy areas. Now the AT is sitting around a bit more.
+Carolina Coin Hunter I love the MXS & I sent it back for the update, but now its lost pinpoint depth at more than 4.5 inches, I might send it back an get the V3i instead, until the bugs are worked out of the MXS, I'll definitely miss it for it's diversity. I respect your opinion & experience with those machines. Thanks
***** Than you, Sorry to hear about your MX Sport troubles. Mine seems good now, but it is very sensitive to deep tiny objects. It's a good thing, but I'll have to get used to it. The V3i is a good machine. I love mine. Just switch frequencies and your detector can be extra sensitive to whatever your looking for, and it's deep!
I have the pro ,i think MDs in general are great by region,i live in Nevada with 100 trillion hot rocks and heavily mineralized soil so its my favorite detector,if it says hot rock its correct and ive dug thousands to proove myself and mxt right. It may not be the best but where i live it saves me a lot of digging, basically in northern Nevada you have MXT for relics ,GB2 for nuggets and ML gpx/z s 4500 to 7000s or the weekend motorhomers with the mighty bounty hunters ,pick which hole you want in your wallet
Johnny Yum I do on a lot of machines, but this one can get pretty faint. I probably need a better set of headphones, and I'm sure it would work much better for me. I appreciate you watching!
Great review, If the EMI was lower then you would really be able to get some depth out of your MXT then you would get another 2 or 3 inches from that machine, as it is you got that 12" quarter pretty hard. thanks for the Video.
This would only be helpful, if we could see all the panels. ...Waste of time otherwise no offense... Again, later when you start detecting, you adjust the controls entirely off camera. Useless.
NextWorld VR There's really not much to this machine as far as settings, but next time I'll show my set up. Thanks for the input. It helps to know what you guys want to see.
Carolina Coin Hunter Wow you responded, sorry if I was a bit snippy,.. I actually watched it through again later, and realized you're kind of giving a overall feel for how it responds to different materials, not just about 'settings',.. My brother, who I lost this week ... left me his Whites MTX, he was so proud of it. He would teach me about it years ago, but I was on my Garrett 250 :/ He would say, that with a classic style Whites like the GTX's, you could after a long time, start to kind of 'see' what and where and how deep under the ground, something was, based solely on the sound.. Like a Bat or a Dolphin! I think you probanly are at that level, and was moving so fast with the explations, it frustrated me a little,.. :) :O Hey, Do you watch the charming show 'DETECTORISTS'?
NextWorld VR I haven't seen the show. I'll have to check it out. Hopefully I'll be able to get out and do some better videos this year. Last year I hardly did anything due to my job taking up all my time. I appreciate you checking out the video. Good luck with your detecting!

mxt pro is a beautiful detector I had mine since 2011. It rarely lets me down. I don't see any reason to upgrade other than the waterproof detectors
@@paulstevens2839 very true
Can you up the SENS to the + area and try the 8" targets again?

Just the ground grab is all

Just curious but what detector did you use to find the woman's gold ring at 6:50?
Fisher F75 Ltd. Just a random foil signal in a trashy park. I got lucky on that one. Thanks for watching!
Good review detector run threw , and depth test as well .
Thanks Dave. I need to put this one through some more real world testing, but it seems pretty nice so far.
CCH which would you prefer for coin hunting . The v3i or the mxt pro. I have the E-trac and its found alot of coins.
Why didn’t you turn the gain up and show what extra depth you can get wide open???
Thank you for this information 😎

that gold ring came in at a VDI of 79 and said RING. 6:48
What depth can it cover
Very good review Gene

is it a pulse induction machine?
No, it's a single frequency VLF machine. Pulse machines have no target ID or discrimination capabilities really. Thanks for watching!
no but white dose have a PI detector

Same as my mxt pro 5 to 6 little disappointed.
I'm glad somebody told the truth
