So lovely ❤ this tiny kit was cared for so beautifully by you. I hear that wild rabbits are difficult to raise but it looked effortless with you. 🎉 i hope they lived a happy life in the wild after the hard work you put in to give them a chance. Im always moved by how perfect humble little animals like this are.
I just found this. Thank you for helping this little guy !!! The average person doesn’t have a clue how time consuming this is. Especially if you have a whole litter.
You are such a kind and caring person. I'm so glad that you rescued this cute little bunny. You saved his life and it makes a huge difference to me. Brigette Jensen, you are a remarkable person. I'm honored to be a human after seeing your nice video.
Well done,, rearing wild rescue rabbits ain't as easy as it looks ... goats milk and sleepless nights.. one of ours lasted 10+ years ..we had a huge run and hutch and they used to chase each other round and around for exercise... watch out they dig very fast and eat through solid blocks of wood in minutes..we used to feed them the odd carrot top and dandelion for treat.. one of the most beautiful experiences..❤
IT'S SO CUTE. Reminds me of the time I nursed a little sparrow who hurt it's wing when I was young. Wish I got the opportunity to help a baby cottontail too.
I currently am a proud momma of 2 kits, Teeny & Tiny. They are precious! I sure love the music piece you have added to your video. I would love to know who the artist is .

Aw...it's so cute seeing an entire video of just bunny :) Have you figured out if you are going to do a name change? Maybe he/she already thinks his/her name is Bun-Bun :) . Michelle
Thanks! I’m glad I did it when I did. It’s been hard to video him the last few days because he’s much more active and tries to get away so fast! 😂 I’m sure he/she MUST think his name is Bun Bun! ❤️
We used powdered kitten formula that we mixed up according to the directions and then added a small amount of heavy cream to make it a bit richer because rabbit milk is richer than cat milk. Probably around a teaspoon of cream per scoop of powder. Make it in small batches because it only lasts a day or so and he won’t eat much at first. Good luck. It’s not an easy journey.
This is very late but when did you start feeding it solids and what type? We rescued some after we found out the mom was not feeding it for a few days and now they just opened their eyes about halfway
We didn’t start feeding anything solid until around 5 or 6 weeks. When he started not getting enough milk and was chewing on the dropper a lot. He will need some probiotics before the food as well go get some guy bacteria. I don’t remember the shivering but I’d guess it’s from being scared. Good luck. 🍀
I just rescued a cotton tail from a cat, about 24 hourss ago. It eats, poops, but can hardly hold its head up, let alone standing, walking/hopping. Looks to be about 4 to 5 weeks old. Im guessing it has some sort of injury, though nothing visable. Practically lifeless. Any suggestions?
I would try to get in touch with a local wildlife rescue to see if they can take it or offer advice. If it’s injured though, there won’t be much chance of saving it. They are so fragile. ❤️❤️
@@brigettejensen thank you! I thought about that. There are no rehabbers (is that what you call them?) In my neck of the woods. I figured this being Sunday, it might be hard to contact anyone. I raised one about 45 year ago. I appreciate the advice. ❤
Yeah, they most likely aren’t open at this hour on a Sunday. We just had to contact our local place last night for a baby deer our dog attacked and didn’t hear back til this morning. If you’re able to feed it and it’s pooping ok, maybe just giving it time between feedings to be still and heal will help. Hopefully it’s not injured and is just in shock...best of luck. ❤️
I just found a bunny about this size that was chased out of its nest from our neighbors dog. I feel so bad for it! It just happened today and I’ve been hoping the mom will come back. It’s in our backyard but not in the nest... probably traumatized from the dog. The bunny is ok- not harmed. I just hope the mom finds him! He’s currently hiding in a plant in our yard. If he’s still there tomorrow, what should I do? I feel so bad. Not sure if they can survive in colder temps. It’s supposed to be a low of 40 degrees tonight. Please let me know what your thoughts are. 💛
Is he hiding near the nest at least? If he’s not hurt, it’s really for the best of the mom finds him again. They usually leave the nest during the day and come back to feed the babies at night. Do you know where the nest is that you can put him close to it?
@@brigettejensen he’s about 10 feet from the nest. He’s hiding in one of our tall plants in our backyard so he’s safe where he is... I just wish he would go in the nest. I tried putting him in there and covering but he just kept hopping/running out! Looks like the mom went back to the nest at some point but clearly he wasn’t there. Hopefully she can smell him out and find him because he’s hiding pretty well! Is there anything you recommend I should do? I know I’ve read not to move the nest so I don’t want to bring it over by him I don’t think?
@@brigettejensen also, it’s supposed to be freezing temps tonight around 30 degrees. Should I put him in anything or put a blanket out there? I feel so bad. Wish his mom would find him or he would go back to the nest. It’s breaking my heart! 🥺
Wow, so, so cute. How can anything possibly harm such a cute little fuzzy, bunny wabbit? Okay, because predators get hungry and eat wabbits. Cute and cruel coexist. OOOOHHHHHH but it's just sooooo cute. If it were me, I would keep it until it reached adulthood.....and then eat it.
Nah. Karma won't get me. However, it might be interesting to consider that as climate change gets worse and its effects turn up the evolutionary dial, killer rabbits will one day roam the planet eating us humans. That is indeed karma. But I will be gone by then--having been eaten by the worms after I die of whatever comes for me. From star stuff to worm food. That's ultimately the future for each of us--unless we are cremated or eaten by killer rabbits.
You people are truly doing a wonderful service thank you for your kindness

We found one the cat had. He looks avout the same age as the first clip of the one the woman is holding. What did you feed yours?
We got powdered kitten formula and added a very small amount of heavy cream to it to make it more like rabbit milk.
